Hebreos 9
1 Tenía empero por cierto también el primer concierto ordenanzas de culto, y santuario mundano.
Now the first covenant had regulations for worship and also an earthly sanctuary.
2 Porque el tabernáculo fue hecho; el primero, en que estaban el candelero, y también la mesa, y los panes de la proposición, el cual es llamado el lugar santo.
A tabernacle was prepared. In its first room were the lampstand, the table, and the consecrated bread. This was called the Holy Place.
3 Y detrás del segundo velo estaba el tabernáculo llamado el lugar santísimo,
Behind the second curtain was a room called the Most Holy Place,
4 Que tenía el incensario de oro, y el arca del concierto cubierta de todas partes al rededor de oro: en que estaba una urna de oro que tenía el maná, y la vara de Aarón que reverdeció, y las tablas del concierto;
containing the golden altar of incense and the gold-covered ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the gold jar of manna, Aaron’s staff that had budded, and the stone tablets of the covenant.
5 Y sobre ella los querubines de gloria haciendo sombra al propiciatorio: de las cuales cosas no podemos ahora hablar en particular.
Above the ark were the cherubim of glory, overshadowing the mercy seat. But we cannot discuss these things in detail now.
6 Y estas cosas así ordenadas, en el primer tabernáculo siempre entraban los sacerdotes para cumplir las funciones del culto divino;
When everything had been prepared in this way, the priests entered regularly into the first room to perform their sacred duties.
7 Mas en el segundo, solo el sumo sacerdote entraba una sola vez en el año, no sin sangre, la cual ofrece por sus propios pecados de ignorancia, y por los del pueblo:
But only the high priest entered the second room, and then only once a year, and never without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.
8 Dando a entender el Espíritu Santo esto, que todavía no estaba patente el camino para el lugar santísimo, entre tanto que el primer tabernáculo estuviese aun en pie.
By this arrangement the Holy Spirit was showing that the way into the Most Holy Place had not yet been disclosed as long as the first tabernacle was still standing.
9 Lo cual era figura para aquel tiempo presente, en el cual se ofrecían dones y también sacrificios, que no podían hacer perfecto al que daba culto, en cuanto a la conciencia;
It is an illustration for the present time, because the gifts and sacrifices being offered were unable to cleanse the conscience of the worshiper.
10 Que solamente consistía en viandas, y en bebidas, y en diversos lavamientos, y justicias de la carne, impuestas hasta el tiempo de la corrección.
They consist only in food and drink and special washings—external regulations imposed until the time of reform.
11 Mas estando ya presente Cristo, sumo sacerdote de los bienes que han de venir, por medio del mayor y más perfecto tabernáculo, no hecho de manos, es a saber, no de esta creación;
But when Christ came as high priest of the good things that have come, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made by hands and is not a part of this creation.
12 Ni por la sangre de machos de cabrío, ni de becerros, mas por su propia sangre entró una vez en el santuario, habiendo obtenido redención eterna para nosotros. (aiōnios g166)
He did not enter by the blood of goats and calves, but He entered the Most Holy Place once for all by His own blood, thus securing eternal redemption. (aiōnios g166)
13 Porque si la sangre de los toros y de los machos de cabrío, y la ceniza de una becerra, rociada sobre los impuros, los santifica para limpiamiento de la carne,
For if the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a heifer sprinkled on those who are ceremonially unclean sanctify them so that their bodies are clean,
14 ¿Cuánto más la sangre de Cristo, el cual por el Espíritu eterno se ofreció a sí mismo sin mancha a Dios, purgará vuestras conciencias de las obras muertas para que deis culto al Dios vivo? (aiōnios g166)
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God, purify our consciences from works of death, so that we may serve the living God! (aiōnios g166)
15 Y por esta razón él es el mediador del nuevo testamento, para que entreviniendo muerte para la redención de las transgresiones que había debajo del primer testamento, los que son llamados reciban la promesa de la herencia eterna. (aiōnios g166)
Therefore Christ is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that He has died to redeem them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant. (aiōnios g166)
16 Porque donde hay testamento, necesario es que intervenga la muerte del testador.
In the case of a will, it is necessary to establish the death of the one who made it,
17 Porque el testamento es firme después de muertos: de otra manera no es válido entre tanto que el testador vive.
because a will does not take effect until the one who made it has died; it cannot be executed while he is still alive.
18 Así que ni aun el primero fue consagrado sin sangre.
That is why even the first covenant was not put into effect without blood.
19 Porque habiendo leído Moisés todos los mandamientos de la ley a todo el pueblo, tomando la sangre de los becerros y de los machos de cabrío, con agua, y lana de grana, e hisopo, asperjó a todo el pueblo, y juntamente al mismo libro,
For when Moses had proclaimed every commandment of the law to all the people, he took the blood of calves and goats, along with water, scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled the scroll and all the people,
20 Diciendo: Esta es la sangre del testamento que Dios os ha mandado.
saying, “This is the blood of the covenant, which God has commanded you to keep.”
21 Y allende de esto, el tabernáculo también, y todos los vasos del ministerio asperjó con la sangre.
In the same way, he sprinkled with blood the tabernacle and all the vessels used in worship.
22 Y casi todas las cosas según la ley son purificadas con sangre; y sin derramamiento de sangre no hay remisión.
According to the law, in fact, nearly everything must be purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
23 Así que necesario fue que los dechados de las cosas celestiales fuesen purificados con estas cosas; empero las mismas cosas celestiales, con mejores sacrificios que estos.
So it was necessary for the copies of the heavenly things to be purified with these sacrifices, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
24 Porque no entró Cristo en el santuario hecho de mano, que es la figura del verdadero, mas en el mismo cielo, para presentarse ahora por nosotros en la presencia de Dios:
For Christ did not enter a man-made copy of the true sanctuary, but He entered heaven itself, now to appear on our behalf in the presence of God.
25 No empero para ofrecerse muchas veces a sí mismo; (como entra el sumo sacerdote en el santuario cada un año con sangre ajena; )
Nor did He enter heaven to offer Himself again and again, as the high priest enters the Most Holy Place every year with blood that is not his own.
26 De otra manera fuera necesario que hubiera padecido muchas veces desde el principio del mundo: mas ahora una vez en la consumación de los siglos, para deshacimiento del pecado se presentó por el sacrificio de sí mismo. (aiōn g165)
Otherwise, Christ would have had to suffer repeatedly since the foundation of the world. But now He has appeared once for all at the end of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of Himself. (aiōn g165)
27 Y de la manera que está establecido a los hombres que mueran una sola vez; y después de esto, el juicio:
Just as man is appointed to die once, and after that to face judgment,
28 Así también Cristo habiendo sido ofrecido una sola vez para cargar con los pecados de muchos; la segunda vez aparecerá sin pecado a los que le aguardan para salud.
so also Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many; and He will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who eagerly await Him.
