Génesis 33
1 Y alzando Jacob sus ojos miró, y, he aquí, venía Esaú, y los cuatrocientos hombres con él: entonces él repartió los niños entre Lia y Raquel, y las dos siervas:
And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children to Leah, and to Rachel, and to the two handmaids.
2 Y puso las siervas y sus niños delante: luego a Lia y a sus niños: y a Raquel y a José los postreros.
And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph last.
3 Y él pasó delante de ellos, e inclinóse a tierra siete veces, hasta que llegó a su hermano.
And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.
4 Y Esaú corrió delante de él, y abrazóle, y echóse sobre su cuello, y besóle, y lloraron.
And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.
5 Y alzó sus ojos, y vio las mujeres, y los niños, y dijo: ¿Qué te han estos? Y él respondió: Son los niños que Dios ha dado a tu siervo.
And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with you? And he said, The children which God has graciously given your servant.
6 Y llegaron las siervas, ellas y sus niños, e inclináronse.
Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.
7 Y llegó Lia con sus niños, e inclináronse: y después llegó José, y Raquel, y también se inclinaron.
And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.
8 Y él dijo: ¿Qué te ha todo este escuadrón que he encontrado? Y él respondió: Porque hallase gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
And he said, What mean you by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.
9 Y dijo Esaú: Harto tengo yo, hermano mío; sea para ti lo que es tuyo.
And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that you have to yourself.
10 Y dijo Jacob: No, yo te ruego; Si he ahora hallado gracia en tus ojos, toma mi presente de mi mano; que por eso he visto tu rostro, como quien ve el rostro de Dios; y házme placer.
And Jacob said, No, I pray you, if now I have found grace in your sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen your face, as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.
11 Toma ahora mi bendición que te es traída, porque Dios me ha hecho merced, y todo lo que hay aquí es mío. Y porfió con él, y tomólo.
Take, I pray you, my blessing that is brought to you; because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.
12 Y dijo: Anda, y vamos: y yo iré delante de ti.
And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before you.
13 Y él le dijo: Mi señor sabe que los niños son tiernos, y que tengo ovejas y vacas paridas: y si las fatigan, en un día morirán todas las ovejas.
And he said to him, My lord knows that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.
14 Pase ahora mi señor delante de su siervo; y yo me iré de mi espacio al paso de la hacienda, que va delante de mí, y al paso de los niños, hasta que llegue a mi señor a Seir.
Let my lord, I pray you, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goes before me and the children be able to endure, until I come to my lord to Seir.
15 Y Esaú dijo: Dejaré ahora contigo del pueblo que viene conmigo. Y él dijo: ¿Para qué esto? Halle yo gracia en los ojos de mi señor.
And Esau said, Let me now leave with you some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needs it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.
16 Así se volvió Esaú aquel día por su camino a Seir.
So Esau returned that day on his way to Seir.
17 Y Jacob se partió a Socot, y edificó para sí allí casa; e hizo cabañas para su ganado: por tanto llamó el nombre de aquel lugar Socot.
And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.
18 Y vino Jacob sano a la ciudad de Siquem, que es en la tierra de Canaán, cuando venía de Padan-aram, y asentó delante de la ciudad.
And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.
19 Y compró una parte del campo, donde tendió su tienda, de mano de los hijos de Jamor padre de Siquem, por cien piezas de moneda.
And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem’s father, for an hundred pieces of money.
20 Y asentó allí altar, y llamóle: El Fuerte Dios de Israel.
And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.
