Gálatas 1
1 Pablo apóstol, no de los hombres, ni por hombre, sino por Jesu Cristo, y por Dios el Padre, que le levantó de entre los muertos,
Paul, an apostle—not an apostle from men nor by human agency, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead—
2 Y todos los hermanos que están conmigo, a las iglesias de Galacia:
and all the brothers with me, to the churches of Galatia:
3 Gracia a vosotros, y paz de Dios el Padre, y de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo,
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ,
4 El cual se dio a sí mismo por nuestros pecados para librarnos de este presente siglo malo, conforme a la voluntad de Dios y Padre nuestro: (aiōn g165)
who gave himself for our sins so that he might deliver us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, (aiōn g165)
to him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
6 Estoy maravillado de que tan presto os hayáis pasado de aquel que os llamó a la gracia de Cristo, a otro evangelio:
I am amazed that you are turning away so quickly from him who called you by the grace of Christ. I am amazed that you are turning to a different gospel.
7 El cual no es otro, sino que hay algunos que os inquietan, y quieren pervertir el evangelio de Cristo.
This is not to say that there is another gospel, but there are some men who cause you trouble and want to change the gospel of Christ.
8 Mas si nosotros, o un ángel del cielo os anunciare otro evangelio del que os hemos anunciado, sea maldito.
But even if we or an angel from heaven should proclaim to you a gospel other than the one we proclaimed to you, let him be cursed.
9 Como antes hemos dicho, así ahora tornamos a decir otra vez: Si alguien os anunciare otro evangelio del que habéis recibido, sea maldito.
As we have said before, so now I say again, “If someone proclaims to you a gospel other than the one you received, let him be cursed.”
10 Porque ¿persuado yo ahora a hombres, o a Dios? ¿o procuro de agradar a hombres? Porque si aun agradara a los hombres, no sería siervo de Cristo.
For am I now seeking the approval of men or God? Am I seeking to please men? If I am still trying to please men, I am not a servant of Christ.
11 Empero os hago saber, hermanos, que el evangelio que os ha sido anunciado por mí, no es según hombre;
For I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel I proclaimed is not man's gospel.
12 Porque ni le recibí de hombre, ni tampoco me fue enseñado, sino por revelación de Jesu Cristo.
I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it. Instead, it was by revelation of Jesus Christ to me.
13 Porque ya habéis oído cual fue mi conversación en otro tiempo en el Judaismo, como sobre manera perseguía la iglesia de Dios, y la asolaba;
You have heard about my former life in Judaism, how I was persecuting the church of God beyond measure and that I was trying to destroy it.
14 Y que aprovechaba en el Judaismo sobre muchos de mis iguales en mi nación, siendo más vehementemente zeloso de las tradiciones de mis padres.
I advanced in Judaism beyond many of those who were my own age, from out of my own people. That is how extremely zealous I was for the traditions of my fathers.
15 Mas cuando plugo a Dios, que me apartó desde el vientre de mi madre, y me llamó por su gracia,
But when God, who had set me apart from my mother's womb, and who called me through his grace,
16 Revelar a su Hijo en mí, para que le predicase entre los Gentiles, desde luego no consulté con carne y sangre;
was pleased to reveal his Son in me, so that I would proclaim him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult with flesh and blood.
17 Ni vine a Jerusalem a los que eran apóstoles antes que yo; sino que me fui a Arabia; y volví de nuevo a Damasco.
I did not go up to Jerusalem to those who had become apostles before me. Instead, I went to Arabia and then returned to Damascus.
18 Después, pasados tres años, vine a Jerusalem a ver a Pedro, y estuve con él quince días.
Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to get to know Cephas and I stayed with him fifteen days.
19 Mas a ningún otro de los apóstoles ví, sino a Santiago el hermano del Señor.
But I saw none of the other apostles except James, the Lord's brother.
20 Y en esto, que os escribo, he aquí, delante de Dios, que no miento.
In what I write to you, I assure you before God, that I am not lying.
21 Después vine a las partes de Siria y de Cilicia.
Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22 Y no era conocido de vista a las iglesias de Judea, que eran en Cristo:
I was still not personally known to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
23 Mas solamente tenían fama de mí: Que el que en otro tiempo nos perseguía, ahora anuncia la fe que en un tiempo destruía:
They only heard it being said, “The man who once persecuted us is now proclaiming the faith he once tried to destroy.”
24 Y glorificaban a Dios en mí.
So they glorified God because of me.
