Ezequiel 26

1 Y aconteció en el undécimo año, en el primero del mes, que fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo:

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, that the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,

2 Hijo del hombre, por cuanto Tiro dijo sobre Jerusalem: Hala, quebrantada es la que era puerta de los pueblos: a mí se convirtió: seré llena, ella desierta:

Son of man, because Tyre hath said concerning Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people; she is turned unto me; I shall be made full, now she is laid in ruins:

3 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo contra ti, o! Tiro; y haré subir contra ti muchas naciones, como la mar hace subir sus ondas.

Therefore thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I am against thee, O Tyre, and will bring up against thee many nations, as the sea causeth its waves to come up.

4 Y disiparán los muros de Tiro, y destruirán sus torres, y sacaré de ella su polvo, y ponerla he en la altura de la piedra.

And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and pull down her towers: I will also flood away her earth from her, and I will change her into a naked rock.

5 Tendedero de redes será en medio de la mar; porque yo he hablado, dijo el Señor Jehová; y será saqueada de las naciones.

A place for the spreading out of nets shall she be in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal: and she shall become a spoil to the nations.

6 Y sus hijas que están en el campo, serán muertas a cuchillo; y sabrán que yo soy Jehová.

And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain with the sword: and they shall know that I am the Lord.

7 Porque así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo traigo contra Tiro a Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, de la parte del aquilón, rey de reyes, con caballos, y carros, y caballeros, y compañías, y mucho pueblo.

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, Behold, I will bring against Tyre Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, from the north, the king of kings, with horses, and with chariot's, and with horsemen, and an assemblage, and a numerous people.

8 Tus hijas que están en el campo, matará a cuchillo, y pondrá contra ti ingenios, y fundará contra ti baluarte, y afirmará contra ti escudo.

Thy daughters in the field will he slay with the sword: and he shall place around thee works of attack, and cast up against thee a mound, and erect against thee a target-fence.

9 Y pondrá contra ella trabucos, contra tus muros, y tus torres destruirá con sus martillos.

And his catapults shall he set against thy walls, and thy towers shall he break down with his axes.

10 Con la multitud de sus caballos te cubrirá el polvo de ellos: con el estruendo de los caballeros, y de las ruedas, y de los carros temblarán tus muros, cuando entrare por tus puertas como por portillos de ciudad destruida.

By reason of the abundance of his horses shall the dust they raise cover thee: by reason of the noise of horsemen, and wheels, and chariots, shall thy walls quake, when he entereth into thy gates, as men enter into a city that is broken in.

11 Con las uñas de sus caballos hollará todas tus calles; a tu pueblo pasará a cuchillo; y las estatuas de tu fortaleza descenderán a tierra.

With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: thy people will he slay with the sword, and the statues of thy strength shall come down to the ground.

12 Y robarán tus riquezas, y saquearán tus mercaderías, y destruirán tus muros; y tus casas preciosas destruirán; y tus piedras, y tu madera, y tu polvo pondrán en medio de las aguas.

And they shall plunder thy riches, and make a spoil of thy merchandise; and they shall break down thy walls, and thy pleasure-houses shall they pull down: and thy stones and thy timber and thy earth shall they throw into the midst of the water.

13 Y haré cesar el estruendo de tus canciones, y el son de tus vihuelas no se oirá más.

And I will cause the sound of thy songs to cease: and the tones of thy harps shall not be heard any more.

14 Y te pondré como altura de piedra: tendedero de redes serás, ni nunca más serás edificada; porque yo Jehová he hablado, dijo el Señor Jehová.

And I will change thee into a naked rock; a place to spread out nets upon shalt thou be; thou shalt not be rebuilt any more; for I the Lord have spoken it, saith the Lord Eternal.

15 Así dijo el Señor Jehová a Tiro: Ciertamente del estruendo de tu caída, cuando gritarán los heridos, cuando la matanza será hecha en medio de ti, las islas temblarán.

Thus hath said the Lord Eternal to Tyre, Truly at the noise of thy fall, when the deadly wounded whine, when the slaughter taketh place in the midst of thee, shall the islands quake.

16 Y todos los príncipes de la mar descenderán de sus tronos, y quitarán sus mantos, y desnudarán sus ropas bordadas; vestirse han de espantos, sentarse han sobre la tierra, y espavorecerse han a cada momento, y estarán atónitos sobre ti.

Then shall all the princes of the sea come down from their thrones, and lay aside their robes, and their broidered garments shall they put off: with trembling shall they clothe themselves; upon the ground shall they sit, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished concerning thee.

17 Y levantarán sobre ti endechas, y dirán sobre ti: ¿Cómo pereciste, poblada en las mares, ciudad que fue alabada, que fue fuerte en la mar, ella y sus moradores que ponían su espanto a todos sus moradores?

And they shall lift up over thee a lamentation, and say to thee, How art thou lost, that wast inhabited [safely] by reason of the seas: O renowned city, which was strong on the sea, she and her inhabitants, who caused their terror to be on all that dwelt around her!

18 Ahora se espavorecerán las islas el día de tu caída; y espantarse han de tu salida las islas que están en la mar.

Now shall the isles tremble on the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy end.

19 Porque así dijo el Señor Jehová: Yo te tornaré ciudad asolada, como las ciudades que no se habitan: yo haré subir sobre ti el abismo, y las muchas aguas te cubrirán.

For thus hath said the Lord Eternal, When I render thee a ruined city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I bring up over thee the deep, and when the great waters cover thee:

20 Y te haré descender con los que descienden al sepulcro, con el pueblo del siglo; y te pondré en lo más bajo de la tierra, como los desiertos antiguos, con los que descienden al sepulcro, porque nunca más seas poblada; y yo daré gloria en la tierra de los vivientes.

Then will I bring thee down with those that descend into the pit, unto the people of olden time, and I will cause thee to dwell in the land of the nether world, among ruins of ancient days, with those that go down to the pit, in order that thou mayest not be inhabited; but I will bestow glory in the land of life.

21 Yo te tornaré en nada, y no serás; y no serás buscada, y nunca más serás hallada, dijo el Señor Jehová.

As though thou hadst not been will I render thee, and thou shalt be no more: and thou shalt be sought for, but thou shalt never be found any more to eternity, saith the Lord Eternal.
