Ezequiel 2

1 Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, está sobre tus pies, y hablaré contigo.

And he said unto me, —Son of man, Stand upon thy feet, that I may, speak with thee.

2 Y entró espíritu en mí después que me habló; y me afirmó sobre mis pies, y oí al que me hablaba.

Then the Spirit entered into me as soon as he spake unto me, and it caused me to stand upon my feet, —and I heard one speaking unto me.

3 Y díjome: Hijo del hombre, yo te envió a los hijos de Israel, a gentes rebeldes, que se rebelaron contra mí: ellos y sus padres se rebelaron contra mí, hasta este mismo día.

And he said unto me- Son of man I am sending thee unto the sons of Israel, unto rebellious nations, which have rebelled against me, —they, and their fathers have transgressed against me, until this very day;

4 Y a hijos duros de rostros, y fuertes de corazón yo te envío; y decirles has: Así dijo el Señor Jehová.

and it is unto such sons—of shameless face, and emboldened heart, that I am sending thee, —therefore shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith My Lord, Yahweh.

5 Y ellos no oirán, ni cesarán, porque son casa rebelde: mas conocerán que hubo profeta entre ellos.

And they! whether they will hear or whether they will forbear, for a perverse house, they are, shall then know that, a prophet, hath been in their midst.

6 Y tú, o! hijo del hombre, no temas de ellos, ni hayas miedo de sus palabras, porque son rebeldes; y espinos viven contigo, y tu moras con abrojos: no hayas miedo de sus palabras, ni temas delante de ellos, porque son casa rebelde.

But thou son of man Be not afraid of them Nor of their words, be afraid Though thorns and thistles are about thee, And amongst prickly plants, thou dost dwell, Of their words, be not afraid nor At their faces, be thou dismayed, For a perverse house, they are!

7 Hablarles has mis palabras, mas no oirán, ni cesarán, porque son rebeldes.

Thou shalt therefore speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear For perverse, they are!

8 Mas tú, hijo del hombre, oye lo que yo te hablo: No seas rebelde como la casa rebelde: abre tu boca, y come lo que yo te doy.

Thou, therefore son of man, hear what I am speaking unto thee., become not perverse like the perverse house, —open thy mouth, and eat that which I am giving unto thee.

9 Y miré, y, he aquí, una mano me fue enviada, y en ella había un libro envuelto.

So I looked, and lo! a hand put forth unto me, —and lo! therein a scroll;

10 Y extendióle delante de mí, y estaba escrito delante y detrás; y estaban en él escritas endechas, y lamentación, y ayes.

and he spread it out before me, and, it was written on the front and the back, —and there were written thereon, lamentation and sighing, and wailing.
