Ezequiel 13

1 Y fue palabra de Jehová a mí, diciendo:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

2 Hijo del hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel que profetizan; y di a los que profetizan de su corazón: Oíd palabra de Jehová.

Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, and thou shalt prophesy, and shalt say to them, Hear ye the word of the Lord:

3 Así dijo el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de los profetas ignorantes, que andan en pos de su espíritu, y nada vieron!

Thus saith the Lord, Woe to them that prophesy out of their own heart, and who see nothing at all.

4 Como zorras en los desiertos fueron tus profetas, o! Israel.

Thy prophets, O Israel, are like foxes in the deserts.

5 Nunca subisteis a los portillos, ni echasteis vallado sobre la casa de Israel, estando en la batalla en el día de Jehová.

They have not continued steadfast, and they have gathered flocks against the house of Israel, they that say,

6 Vieron vanidad, y adivinación de mentira. Dicen: Dijo Jehová: y nunca Jehová los envió; y hacen esperar para confirmar la palabra.

In the day of the Lord, have not stood, seeing false [visions], prophesying vanities, who say, The Lord saith, and the Lord has not sent them, and they began [to try] to confirm the word.

7 ¿No habéis visto visión vana? ¿y no habéis dicho adivinación de mentira? ¿y decís: Dijo Jehová: no habiendo yo hablado?

Have ye not seen a false vision? and spoken vain prophecies?

8 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: Por cuanto vosotros habéis hablado vanidad, y habéis visto mentira: por tanto he aquí que yo a vosotros, dijo el Señor Jehová.

And therefore say, Thus saith the Lord; Because your words are false, and your prophecies are vain, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord.

9 Y será mi mano contra los profetas que ven vanidad, y adivinan mentira: no serán en la congregación de mi pueblo, ni serán escritos en el libro de la casa de Israel, ni volverán a la tierra de Israel; y sabréis que yo soy el Señor Jehová.

And I will stretch forth my hand against the prophets that see false [visions], and those that utter vanities: they shall not partake of the instruction of my people, neither shall they be written in the roll of the house of Israel, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel; and they shall know that I am the Lord.

10 Por tanto, y por cuanto engañaron mi pueblo, diciendo: Paz, no habiendo paz; y el uno edificaba la pared, y he aquí que los otros la embarraban con lodo suelto.

Because they have caused my people to err, saying, Peace; and there is no peace; and one builds a wall, and they plaster it, —it shall fall.

11 Di a los embarradores con lodo suelto, que caerá: vendrá lluvia en avenida, y daré piedras de granizo que la hagan caer, y viento tempestuoso la romperá.

Say to them that plaster [it], It shall fall; and there shall be a flooding rain; and I will send great stones upon their joinings, and they shall fall; and there shall be a sweeping wind, and it shall be broken.

12 Y he aquí que la pared cayó. No os dirán entonces: ¿Dónde está la embarradura con que embarrasteis?

And lo! the wall has fallen; and will they not say to you, Where is your plaster wherewith ye plastered [it]?

13 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: Y yo haré que la rompa viento tempestuoso con mi ira, y lluvia en avenida venga con mi furor, y piedras de granizo con mi enojo para consumir.

Therefore thus saith the Lord; I will even cause to burst forth a sweeping blast with fury, and there shall be a flooding rain in my wrath; and in [my] fury I will bring on great stones for complete destruction.

14 Y derribaré la pared que vosotros embarrasteis con lodo suelto, y hacerla he llegar a tierra, y será descubierto su cimiento, y caerá, y seréis consumidos en medio de ella; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

And I will break down the wall which ye have plastered, and it shall fall; and I will lay it on the ground, and its foundations shall be discovered, and it shall fall; and ye shall be consumed with rebukes: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

15 Y cumpliré mi furor en la pared, y en los que la embarraron con lodo suelto, y deciros he: No parece la pared, ni parecen los que la embarraron:

And I will accomplish my wrath upon the wall, and upon them that plaster it; it shall fall: and I said to you, The wall is not, nor they that plaster it,

16 Los profetas de Israel que profetizan a Jerusalem, y ven para ella visión de paz, no habiendo paz, dijo el Señor Jehová.

even the prophets of Israel, who prophesy concerning Jerusalem, and who see [visions of] peace for her, and there is no peace, saith the Lord.

17 Y tú, o! hijo del hombre, pon tu rostro a las hijas de tu pueblo, que profetizan de su corazón, y profetiza contra ellas,

And thou, son of man, set thy face firmly against the daughters of thy people, that prophesy out of their own heart; and prophesy against them.

18 Y dí: Así dijo el Señor Jehová: ¡Ay de aquellas que cosen cojinetes a todos codos de manos, y hacen veletas sobre la cabeza de toda edad, para cazar las almas! ¿Habéis de cazar las almas de mi pueblo? ¿y habéis de dar vida a las almas para vosotros?

And thou shalt say, Thus saith the Lord, Woe to the [women] that sew pillows under every elbow, and make kerchiefs on the head of every stature to pervert souls! The souls of my people are perverted, and they have saved souls alive.

19 ¿Y habéisme de contaminar en mi pueblo por puños de cebada, y por pedazos de pan, matando las almas que no mueren, y dando vida a las almas que no vivirán, mintiendo a mi pueblo que oye mentira?

And they have dishonoured me before my people for a handful of barley, and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls which should not die, and to save alive the souls which should not live, while ye speak to a people hearing vain speeches.

20 Por tanto así dijo el Señor Jehová: He aquí que yo a vuestros cojinetes, con que cazáis allí las almas volando: yo los arrancaré de vuestros brazos, y enviaré las almas que cazáis, las almas volando.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I am against your pillows, whereby ye there confound souls, and I will tear them away from your arms, and will set at liberty their souls which ye pervert to scatter them.

21 Y romperé vuestras veletas, y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano, y no estarán más en vuestra mano para caza; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

And I will tear your kerchiefs, and will rescue my people out of your hands, and they shall no longer be in your hands to be confounded; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

22 Por cuanto entristecisteis el corazón del justo con mentira, al cual yo no entristecí; y esforzasteis las manos del impío, para que no se apartase de su mal camino dándole vida:

Because ye have perverted the heart of the righteous, whereas I perverted him not, and [that] in order to strengthen the hands of the wicked, that he should not at all turn from his evil way and live:

23 Por tanto no veréis vanidad, ni más adivinaréis adivinación; y libraré mi pueblo de vuestra mano; y sabréis que yo soy Jehová.

therefore ye shall not see false [visions], and ye shall no more utter prophecies: but I will deliver my people out of your hand; and ye shall know that I am the Lord.
