Ezequiel 1
1 Y fue que a los treinta años, en el mes cuarto, a los cinco del mes, estando yo en medio de los trasportados junto al río de Cobar, los cielos se abrieron, y ví visiones de Dios.
Now it came to pass in the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, in the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Chebar, that the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.
2 A los cinco del mes, que fue en el quinto año de la transmigración del rey Joacín,
In the fifth day of the month, which was the fifth year of king Jehoiachin’s captivity,
3 Fue palabra de Jehová a Ezequiel sacerdote, hijo de Buzi, en la tierra de los Caldeos, junto al río de Cobar; y fue allí sobre él la mano de Jehová.
The word of the LORD came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of the LORD was there on him.
4 Y miré, y, he aquí, un viento tempestuoso venía de la parte del aquilón, y una gran nube, y un fuego, que venía revolviéndose, y tenía al derredor de sí un resplandor, y en medio del fuego una cosa que parecía como de ámbar.
And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire enfolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the middle thereof as the color of amber, out of the middle of the fire.
5 Y en medio de ella venía una figura de cuatro animales; y este era su parecer: había en ellos una figura de hombre.
Also out of the middle thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man.
6 Y cada una tenía cuatro rostros, y cuatro alas.
And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings.
7 Y los pies de ellos eran derechos, y la planta de sus pies como la planta de pie de becerro; y centelleaban que parecían metal acicalado.
And their feet were straight feet; and the sole of their feet was like the sole of a calf’s foot: and they sparkled like the color of burnished brass.
8 Y tenían manos de hombre debajo de sus alas todos cuatro; y sus rostros, y sus alas en todos cuatro.
And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides; and they four had their faces and their wings.
9 Con las alas se juntaban el uno al otro: no se volvían cuando andaban, cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro.
Their wings were joined one to another; they turned not when they went; they went every one straight forward.
10 Y la figura de sus rostros era rostros de hombre, y rostros de león a la parte derecha en todos cuatro; y rostros de buey a la izquierda en todos cuatro; y rostros de águila en todos cuatro.
As for the likeness of their faces, they four had the face of a man, and the face of a lion, on the right side: and they four had the face of an ox on the left side; they four also had the face of an eagle.
11 Tales pues eran sus rostros: mas sus alas tenían extendidas por encima cada uno dos, las cuales se juntaban; y las otras dos cubrían sus cuerpos.
Thus were their faces: and their wings were stretched upward; two wings of every one were joined one to another, and two covered their bodies.
12 Y cada uno caminaba en derecho de su rostro: hacia donde el espíritu era que anduviesen, andaban: no se volvían, cuando andaban.
And they went every one straight forward: where the spirit was to go, they went; and they turned not when they went.
13 Y la semejanza de los animales, su parecer, era como de carbones de fuego encendidos, como parecer de hachas encendidas: el fuego discurría entre los animales, y el resplandor del fuego: y del fuego salían relámpagos.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning.
14 Y los animales corrían, y tornaban que parecían relámpagos.
And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning.
15 Y estando yo mirando los animales, he aquí una rueda en la tierra, con sus cuatro caras junto a los animales.
Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel on the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.
16 Y el parecer de las ruedas, y su hechura, parecía de Társis. Y todas cuatro tenían una misma semejanza: su parecer, y su hechura, como es una rueda en medio de otra rueda.
The appearance of the wheels and their work was like to the color of a beryl: and they four had one likeness: and their appearance and their work was as it were a wheel in the middle of a wheel.
17 Cuando andaban, andaban sobre sus cuatro costados: no se volvían cuando andaban.
When they went, they went on their four sides: and they turned not when they went.
18 Y sus costillas eran altas, y temerosas, y llenas de ojos al derredor, en todas cuatro.
As for their rings, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rings were full of eyes round about them four.
19 Y cuando los animales andaban, las ruedas andaban junto a ellos; y cuando los animales se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban.
And when the living creatures went, the wheels went by them: and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up.
20 Hacia donde el espíritu era que anduviesen, andaban: hacia donde era el espíritu que anduviesen, las ruedas también se levantaban tras ellos; porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en las ruedas.
Wherever the spirit was to go, they went, thither was their spirit to go; and the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
21 Cuando ellos andaban, andaban ellas; y cuando ellos se paraban, se paraban ellas; y cuando se levantaban de la tierra, las ruedas se levantaban tras ellos; porque el espíritu de los animales estaba en las ruedas.
When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up over against them: for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
22 Y sobre las cabezas de cada animal parecía un extendimiento a manera de cristal, maravilloso, extendido encima sobre sus cabezas.
And the likeness of the firmament on the heads of the living creature was as the color of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above.
23 Y debajo del extendimiento estaban las alas de ellos derechas la una a la otra, a cada uno dos; y otras dos con que se cubrían sus cuerpos.
And under the firmament were their wings straight, the one toward the other: every one had two, which covered on this side, and every one had two, which covered on that side, their bodies.
24 Y oí el sonido de sus alas, como sonido de muchas aguas, como la voz del Omnipotente: cuando andaban, la voz de la palabra, como la voz de un ejército: cuando se paraban, aflojaban sus alas;
And when they went, I heard the noise of their wings, like the noise of great waters, as the voice of the Almighty, the voice of speech, as the noise of an host: when they stood, they let down their wings.
25 Y oíase voz de arriba del extendimiento, que estaba sobre sus cabezas: cuando se paraban, aflojaban sus alas.
And there was a voice from the firmament that was over their heads, when they stood, and had let down their wings.
26 Y sobre el extendimiento que estaba sobre sus cabezas había una figura de un trono que parecía de piedra de zafiro; y sobre la figura del trono había una semejanza que parecía de hombre sobre él encima.
And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and on the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above on it.
27 Y ví una cosa que parecía como de ámbar, que parecía que había fuego dentro de ella, la cual se veía desde sus lomos para arriba; y desde sus lomos para abajo, ví que parecía como fuego, y que tenía resplandor al derredor.
And I saw as the color of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.
28 Que parecía al arco del cielo que está en las nubes el día que llueve, así era el parecer del resplandor al derredor. Esta era la visión de la semejanza de la gloria de Jehová; y yo ví, y caí sobre mi rostro, y oí voz que hablaba.
As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD. And when I saw it, I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of one that spoke.
