Éxodo 3

1 Y apacentando Moisés las ovejas de Jetro su suegro, sacerdote de Madián, llevó las ovejas detrás del desierto, y vino a Horeb, monte de Dios.

And Moses has been feeding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, priest of Midian, and he leads the flock behind the wilderness, and comes to the mountain of God, to Horeb;

2 Y apareciósele el ángel de Jehová en una llama de fuego en medio de un zarzal: y él miró, y vio que el zarzal ardía en fuego, y el zarzal no se consumía.

and the Messenger of YHWH appears to him in a flame of fire, out of the midst of the bush, and he sees, and behold, the bush is burning with fire, and the bush is not consumed.

3 Entonces Moisés dijo: Ahora yo iré, y veré esta grande visión, por qué causa el zarzal no se queme.

And Moses says, “Now I turn aside and see this great appearance. Why is the bush not burned?”

4 Y viendo Jehová que iba a ver, llamóle Dios de medio del zarzal, y dijo: Moisés, Moisés: Y él respondió: Heme aquí.

And YHWH sees that he has turned aside to see, and God calls to him out of the midst of the bush and says, “Moses! Moses!” And he says, “Here I [am].”

5 Y dijo: No te llegues acá: quita tus zapatos de tus pies, porque el lugar en que tú estás, tierra santa es.

And He says, “Do not come near here. Cast your shoes from off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”

6 Y dijo: Yo soy el Dios de tu padre, Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac, Dios de Jacob. Entonces Moisés cubrió su rostro, porque tuvo miedo de mirar a Dios.

He also says, “I [am] the God of your father, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob”; and Moses hides his face, for he is afraid to look toward God.

7 Y dijo Jehová: Viendo he visto la aflicción de mi pueblo, que está en Egipto; y he oído su clamor a causa de sus exactores, por lo cual yo he entendido sus dolores.

And YHWH says, “I have certainly seen the affliction of My people who [are] in Egypt, and I have heard their cry because of its exactors, for I have known its pains;

8 Y he descendido para librarlos de mano de los Egipcios: yo los sacaré de esta tierra a una tierra buena y ancha, a tierra que corre leche y miel; a los lugares del Cananeo, del Jetteo, del Amorreo, del Ferezeo, del Heveo, y del Jebuseo.

and I go down to deliver it out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to cause it to go up out of the land to a land good and broad, to a land flowing with milk and honey—to the place of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite.

9 El clamor de los hijos de Israel ha venido ahora delante de mí: y también he visto la opresión con que los Egipcios les oprimen.

And now, behold, the cry of the sons of Israel has come to Me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians are oppressing them,

10 Ven pues ahora, y enviarte he a Faraón, para que saques a mi pueblo, los hijos de Israel, de Egipto.

and now, come, and I send you to Pharaoh; and bring out My people, the sons of Israel, from Egypt.”

11 Entonces Moisés respondió a Dios: ¿Quién soy yo, para que vaya a Faraón, y saque de Egipto a los hijos de Israel?

And Moses says to God, “Who [am] I, that I go to Pharaoh, and that I bring out the sons of Israel from Egypt?”

12 Y él le respondió: Porque yo seré contigo: y esto te será por señal, de que yo te he enviado: Después que hubieres sacado a este pueblo de Egipto, serviréis a Dios sobre este monte.

And He says, “Because I am with you, and this [is] the sign to you that I have sent you: in your bringing out the people from Egypt—you serve God on this mountain.”

13 Y dijo Moisés a Dios: He aquí, yo vengo a los hijos de Israel, y les digo: El Dios de vuestros padres me ha enviado a vosotros: y si ellos me preguntan: ¿Cuál es su nombre? ¿Qué les responderé?

And Moses says to God, “Behold, I am coming to the sons of Israel, and have said to them, The God of your fathers has sent me to you, and they have said to me, What [is] His Name? What do I say to them?”

14 Y respondió Dios a Moisés: YO SOY EL QUE SOY. Y dijo: Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: YO SOY, me ha enviado a vosotros.

And God says to Moses, “I AM THAT WHICH I AM.” He also says, “Thus you say to the sons of Israel: I AM has sent me to you.”

15 Y dijo más Dios a Moisés: Así dirás a los hijos de Israel: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, Dios de Isaac, y Dios de Jacob, me ha enviado a vosotros. Este es mi nombre para siempre; y este es mi memorial por todos los siglos.

And God says again to Moses, “Thus you say to the sons of Israel: YHWH, God of your fathers, God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob, has sent me to you; this [is] My Name for all time, and this [is] My memorial, to generation [and] generation.

16 Vé, y junta los ancianos de Israel, y díles: Jehová, el Dios de vuestros padres, el Dios de Abraham, de Isaac, y de Jacob, me apareció, diciendo: Visitando os he visitado, y a lo que os es hecho en Egipto;

Go, and you have gathered the elderly of Israel, and have said to them: YHWH, God of your fathers, has appeared to me, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, I have certainly inspected you, and that which is done to you in Egypt;

17 Y dije: Yo os sacaré de la aflicción de Egipto a la tierra del Cananeo, y del Jetteo, y del Amorreo, y del Ferezeo, y del Heveo, y del Jebuseo, a una tierra que corre leche y miel.

and I say [that] I bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt to the land of the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, to a land flowing [with] milk and honey.

18 Y oirán tu voz, e irás tú, y los ancianos de Israel al rey de Egipto, y decirle heis: Jehová, el Dios de los Hebreos, nos ha encontrado: por tanto nosotros iremos ahora camino de tres días por el desierto, para que sacrifiquemos a Jehová nuestro Dios.

And they have listened to your voice, and you have entered, you and [the] elderly of Israel, to the king of Egypt, and you have said to him: YHWH, God of the Hebrews, has met with us; and now, please let us go a journey of three days into the wilderness, and we sacrifice to our God YHWH.

19 Mas yo sé, que el rey de Egipto no os dejará ir, sino por mano fuerte.

And I have known that the king of Egypt does not permit you to go, unless by a strong hand,

20 Mas yo extenderé mi mano, y heriré a Egipto con todas mis maravillas, que haré en él; y entonces os dejará ir.

and I have put forth My hand, and have struck Egypt with all My wonders, which I do in its midst—and afterward he sends you away.

21 Y yo daré a este pueblo gracia en los ojos de los Egipcios, para que cuando os partiereis, no salgáis vacíos:

And I have given the grace of this people in the eyes of the Egyptians, and it has come to pass, when you go, you do not go empty;

22 Y demandará cada mujer a su vecina y a su huéspeda vasos de plata, vasos de oro, y vestidos, los cuales pondréis sobre vuestros hijos, y vuestras hijas: y despojaréis a Egipto.

and [every] woman has asked from her neighbor, and from her who is sojourning in her house, [for] vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and garments, and you have put [them] on your sons and on your daughters, and have spoiled the Egyptians.”
