Efesios 1
1 Pablo, apóstol de Jesu Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, a los santos que están en Efeso, y fieles en Cristo Jesús:
Pavl an Apostle of Jesvs Christ by the will of God, to the Saints, which are at Ephesus, and to ye faithfull in Christ Iesus:
2 Gracia a vosotros, y paz de Dios Padre nuestro, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.
Grace be with you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
3 Bendito sea el Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, el cual nos ha bendecido con toda bendición espiritual en bienes celestiales en Cristo.
Blessed be God, and the Father of our Lord Iesus Christ, which hath blessed vs with all spirituall blessing in heauenly thinges in Christ,
4 Según que nos escogió en él antes de la fundación del mundo, para que fuésemos santos, y sin mancha delante de él en amor.
As hee hath chosen vs in him, before the foundation of the worlde, that we should be holy, and without blame before him in loue:
5 Habiéndonos predestinado para ser adoptados en hijos por medio de Jesu Cristo en sí mismo, conforme al buen querer de su voluntad.
Who hath predestinate vs, to be adopted through Iesus Christ in him selfe, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 Para alabanza de la gloria de su gracia, por la cual nos ha hecho aceptos así en el amado.
To the prayse of the glory of his grace, wherewith he hath made vs freely accepted in his beloued,
7 En el cual tenemos redención por su sangre, remisión de pecados por las riquezas de su gracia,
By whom we haue redemption through his blood, euen the forgiuenes of sinnes, according to his rich grace:
8 Que sobreabundó para con nosotros en toda sabiduría e inteligencia;
Whereby he hath bene aboundant toward vs in all wisedome and vnderstanding,
9 Habiéndonos descubierto el misterio de su voluntad, según su buen querer, que él se había propuesto en sí mismo,
And hath opened vnto vs the mysterie of his will according to his good pleasure, which he had purposed in him,
10 Que en la dispensación del cumplimiento de los tiempos, juntaría en uno todas las cosas en Cristo, así las que están en los cielos, como las que están en la tierra; en él digo:
That in the dispensation of the fulnesse of the times, he might gather together in one all things, both which are in heauen, and which are in earth, euen in Christ:
11 En el cual alcanzamos también herencia, siendo predestinados conforme al propósito de aquel que obra todas las cosas según el arbitrio de su voluntad;
In whom also we are chosen when we were predestinate according to ye purpose of him, which worketh all things after the counsell of his owne will,
12 Para que fuésemos para alabanza de su gloria nosotros, que antes esperamos en Cristo:
That we, which first trusted in Christ, should be vnto the praise of his glorie:
13 En el cual esperasteis también vosotros en oyendo la palabra de verdad, el evangelio de vuestra salud: en el cual también desde que creísteis, fuisteis sellados con el Espíritu Santo de la promesa,
In whom also ye haue trusted, after that ye heard the worde of trueth, euen the Gospel of your saluation, wherein also after that ye beleeued, ye were sealed with the holy Spirite of promise,
14 Que es las arras de nuestra herencia, hasta la redención de la posesión adquirida, para alabanza de su gloria.
Which is the earnest of our inheritance, for the redemption of that libertie purchased vnto the prayse of his glory.
15 Por lo cual también yo, oyendo de vuestra fe que es en el Señor Jesús, y de vuestro amor para con todos los santos,
Therefore also after that I heard of the faith, which ye haue in the Lord Iesus, and loue toward all the Saints,
16 No ceso de dar gracias por vosotros, haciendo memoria de vosotros en mis oraciones:
I cease not to giue thankes for you, making mention of you in my prayers,
17 Que el Dios de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, el Padre de gloria, os dé el espíritu de sabiduría y de revelación en el conocimiento de él:
That the God of our Lord Iesus Christ, that Father of glory, might giue vnto you the Spirit of wisedome, and reuelation through the acknowledging of him,
18 Iluminados los ojos de vuestro entendimiento, para que sepáis cual sea la esperanza de su vocación, y cuales las riquezas de la gloria de su herencia en los santos;
That the eyes of your vnderstanding may be lightened, that ye may knowe what the hope is of his calling, and what the riches of his glorious inheritance is in the Saints,
19 Y cual la grandeza sobreexcelente de su poder para con nosotros, los que creemos, por la operación de la potencia de su fortaleza,
And what is the exceeding greatnesse of his power toward vs, which beleeue, according to the working of his mightie power,
20 La cual obró en Cristo, levantándole de entre los muertos, y colocándo le a su diestra en los cielos,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his right hand in the heauenly places,
21 Sobre todo principado, y potestad, y potencia, y señorío, y todo nombre que se nombra, no solo en este siglo, mas aun en el venidero; (aiōn g165)
Farre aboue al principalitie, and power, and might, and domination, and euery Name, that is named, not in this world only, but also in that that is to come, (aiōn g165)
22 Y sujetándole todas las cosas debajo de sus pies, y poniéndole por cabeza sobre todas las cosas para la iglesia,
And hath made all things subiect vnder his feete, and hath giuen him ouer all things to be the head to the Church,
23 La cual es su cuerpo, la plenitud de aquel, que lo llena todo en todo.
Which is his body, euen the fulnesse of him that filleth all in all things.
