Deuteronomio 33
1 Y esta es la bendición con la cual Moisés, varón de Dios, bendijo a los hijos de Israel antes que muriese;
Now, this, is the blessing wherewith Moses, the man of God, blessed the sons of Israel, —before his death.
2 Y dijo: Jehová vino de Sinaí, y de Seir les esclareció: resplandeció desde el monte de Farán, y vino con diez mil santos: a su diestra la ley de fuego para ellos.
And he said—Yahweh from Sinai, came near, —Yea he dawned, out of Seir, upon them, He shone forth out of Mount Paran, Yea he came out of holy myriads, —Out of his right hand [proceeded] fire to guide them.
3 Aun amó los pueblos, todos sus santos están en tu mano: ellos también se llegaron a tus pies: recibieron de tus dichos.
Yea he loved the tribes, All his holy ones, were in thy hand, —Yea, they, were encamped at thy feet, Each one bare away some of thy words.
4 Ley nos mandó Moisés por heredad a la congregación de Jacob.
A law, did Moses command us, —A possession, for the convocation of Jacob.
5 Y fue en el Recto rey, cuando se congregaron las cabezas del pueblo, las tribus de Israel en uno.
Thus became he in, Jeshurun, a king, —When the heads of the people gathered them-selves together, As one man, the tribes of Israel. [Reuben] —
6 Viva Rubén, y no muera: y sean sus varones en número.
Let Reuben live and not die, —Nor his men be easily counted.
7 Y esta para Judá; y dijo: Oye oh Jehová, la voz de Judá, y llévale a su pueblo: sus manos le basten, y tú le seas ayuda contra sus enemigos.
And, this, is for Judah, when he said, Hear, O Yahweh, the voice of Judah, That unto his own people, thou wouldst bring him home, —Let, his own hands, suffice him, And, a helper from his adversaries, do thou become.
8 Y a Leví dijo: Tu Tumim y tu Urim diste a tu buen varón, al cual tentaste en Massa: y lo hiciste reñir a las aguas de la rencilla;
And of Levi, he said: Let, thy perfections and thy lights, belong unto thy man of lovingkindness, —Whom thou didst put to the proof at Massah, With whom thou didst contend over the waters of Meribah;
9 El que dijo a su padre y a su madre: Nunca los ví: ni conoció a sus hermanos, ni conoció a sus hijos: por lo cual ellos guardarán tus dichos, y observarán tu concierto.
Who saith of his father and of his mother, I behold them not, And, his own brethren, regardeth he not, And, his own sons, observeth he not, —Because they watch thy speech, That, thy covenant, they may preserve;
10 Ellos enseñarán tus juicios a Jacob, y tu ley a Israel: pondrán el perfume a tus narices, y el holocausto sobre tu altar.
May teach thy regulations unto Jacob, And thy law unto Israel, —May put incense in thy nostrils, And a whole-offering upon thine altar.
11 Bendice oh Jehová lo que hicieren, y en la obra de sus manos toma contentamiento: hiere los lomos de sus enemigos, y de los que le aborrecieren, que nunca se levanten.
Bless, O Yahweh his substance, And with the work of his hands, wilt thou be well pleased, —Crush thou the loins of them who rise up against him, And of them who hate him, that they rise not again.
12 Y a Ben-jamín dijo: El amado de Jehová habitará confiado cerca de él: cubrirle ha siempre, y entre sus hombros morará.
Of Benjamin, he said, The beloved of Yahweh, shall settle down securely, —With one to throw a shade over him all the day long, Yea, between his shoulders, hath he found rest.
13 Y a José dijo: Bendita sea de Jehová su tierra por los regalos de los cielos, por el rocío, y por el abismo que está abajo,
And of Joseph, he said, Blessed of Yahweh, be his land, —With the precious things of the heavens with the dew, And with the abyss, couching beneath;
14 Y por los regalos de los frutos del sol, y por los regalos de las influencias de las lunas,
And with the precious fruits of the sun, —And with the precious yield of the moons;
15 Y por la cumbre de los montes antiguos; y por los regalos, de los collados eternos.
And with the chief of the ancient mountains, —And with the precious things of the age-abiding hills;
16 Y por los regalos de la tierra, y su plenitud: y la gracia del que habitó en la zarza venga sobre la cabeza de José, y sobre la mollera del apartado de sus hermanos.
And with the precious things of the earth and its fulness, And with the goodwill of One who dwelt in a thorn-bush.—Let it come on the head of Joseph, And on the crown of the head of him who was consecrated among his brethren.
17 El es hermoso como el primogénito de su buey: y sus cuernos, cuernos de unicornio: con ellos acorneará los pueblos a una, hasta los fines de la tierra: y estos son los diez millares de Efraím: y estos los millares de Manasés.
His firstborn ox, be an honour to him. And the horns of a buffalo, be his horns, With them, let him thrust, peoples, All at once, to the ends of the earth, —Yea, [with] these, the myriads of Ephraim, And, [with] those, the thousands of Manasseh.
18 Y a Zabulón dijo: Alégrate Zabulón cuando salieres; e Isacar en tus tiendas.
And, of Zebulun, he said, Rejoice, Zebulun in thy going out, —And [thou], Issachar in thy tents:
19 Al monte llamarán pueblos, allí sacrificarán sacrificios de justicia: por lo cual chuparán la abundancia de las mares, y los tesoros escondidos del arena.
The peoples, unto the mountain, will they call, There, will they offer the sacrifices of righteousness, —For, the abundance of the seas, will they suck, Hidden treasures of the sand.
20 Y a Gad dijo: Bendito el que hizo ensanchar a Gad: como león habitará, y arrebatará brazo y mollera.
And, of Gad, he said: Blessed, be he that hath made room for Gad, —As a lioness, hath he laid himself down, And hath torn an arm likewise the crown of the head;
21 El vio para sí lo primero, que allí estaba escondida la parte del legislador, y vino en la delantera del pueblo: la justicia de Jehová hará, y sus juicios con Israel.
And hath provided a first part for himself, For, there, a commander’s portion hath been hid, —So he cometh with the heads of the people, The righteousness of Yahweh, he executeth, And his regulations, with Israel.
22 Y a Dan dijo: Dan, cachorro de león: saltará desde Basán.
And, of Dan, he said, Dan, is a lion’s whelp, —He leapeth out of Bashan.
23 Y a Neftalí dijo: Neftalí harto de voluntad, y lleno de bendición de Jehová; el occidente y el mediodía hereda.
And, of Naphtali, he said, O Naphtali! satisfied with favour, And full with the blessing of Yahweh, —The west and the sunny south, do thou possess.
24 Y a Aser dijo: Bendito más que los hijos, Aser; será agradable a sus hermanos: y mojará en aceite su pie.
And, of Asher, he said, Most blessed of sons, be Asher, —Let him have the goodwill of his brethren, And let him dip, in oil, his foot:
25 Hierro y metal serán tus cerraduras; y como tus días será tu fortaleza.
Iron and bronze, be thy sandals, And, as thy days, be thy strength.
26 No hay otro como el Dios del Recto: caballero en el cielo para tu ayuda, y en los cielos con su grandeza.
There is none like GOD, O Jeshurun, —Riding upon the heavens to thy help, —And for his own majesty, on the skies;
27 La habitación de Dios es eterna, y debajo de brazos de perpetuidad: él echará de delante de ti al enemigo; y dirá: Destruye.
Above, is the God of aforetime, And, beneath, are the Arms of the ages, —So he driveth before thee the foe, And doth say—Destroy!
28 E Israel, la fuente de Jacob, habitará confiado solo en tierra de grano y de vino: también sus cielos destilarán rocío.
Thus hath Israel settled down securely, Alone, the fountain of Jacob, Within a land both of corn and new wine, —His heaven also droppeth down dew.
29 Bienaventurado tú Israel: ¿Quién como tú, pueblo salvo por Jehová, escudo de tu socorro, y espada de tu excelencia? Y tus enemigos serán humillados, y tú hollarás sobre sus alturas.
How happy art thou, O Israel! Who is like unto thee, O people victorious in Yahweh? Thy helpful shield, who also is thy majestic sword, —So that thy foes come cringing unto thee, And, thou, upon their heights, dost march along.
