Colosenses 1
1 Pablo, apóstol de Jesu Cristo por la voluntad de Dios, y el hermano Timoteo,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Timothy the brother,
2 A los santos y hermanos fieles en Cristo que están en Colosas: Gracia a vosotros y paz de Dios Padre nuestro, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.
to the holy and faithful brothers in Christ at Colossae: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Damos gracias al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo, orando siempre por vosotros:
We give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, always praying about you,
4 Habiendo oído de vuestra fe en Cristo Jesús, y del amor que tenéis para con todos los santos,
having heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and the love toward all the sanctified,
5 A causa de la esperanza que os es guardada en los cielos: de la cual habéis oído ya por la palabra verdadera del evangelio:
because of the hope being reserved for you in the heavens, which ye heard before in the word of the truth of the good news
6 El cual ha llegado hasta vosotros, como también ha pasado por todo el mundo; y fructifica, y crece, como también en vosotros, desde el día en que oísteis, y conocisteis la gracia de Dios en verdad:
being present for you, just as also in all the world. And it is bearing fruit and increasing, just as also among you from the day that ye heard and recognized the grace of God in truth.
7 Como también habéis aprendido de Epafras, consiervo amado nuestro, el cual es por vosotros fiel ministro de Cristo;
Just as also ye learned from Epaphras our beloved fellow bondman, who is a faithful helper of the Christ for you,
8 El cual también nos ha declarado vuestro amor en el Espíritu.
the man who also made clear to us your love in spirit.
9 Por lo cual también nosotros, desde el día que lo oímos, no cesamos de orar por vosotros, y de pedir que seáis llenos del conocimiento de su voluntad, en toda sabiduría y entendimiento espiritual;
Because of this we also, from the day that we heard, cease not praying for you and making request that ye may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.
10 Para que andéis como es digno del Señor, agradándo le en todo, fructificando en toda buena obra, y creciendo en el conocimiento de Dios:
For you to walk worthily of the Lord for every desire to please, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing in the knowledge of God,
11 Corroborados de toda fortaleza, conforme a la potencia de su gloria, para toda paciencia y longanimidad con gozo:
being strengthened in every ability, according to the dominion of his glory, for all perseverance and longsuffering with joy.
12 Dando gracias al Padre que nos hizo idóneos para participar en la herencia de los santos en luz:
Giving thanks to the Father who made us qualified for the share of the portion of the sanctified in light.
13 El cual nos libró de la potestad de las tinieblas, y nos traspasó al reino del Hijo de su amor,
Who rescued us out of the power of darkness, and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love,
14 En quien tenemos redención por su sangre, remisión de pecados:
in whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins,
15 El cual es imagen del Dios invisible, el primogénito de toda la creación.
who is an image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
16 Porque en él fueron creadas todas las cosas que están en los cielos, y que están en la tierra, visibles e invisibles, sean tronos, sean señoríos, sean principados, sean potestades: todo fue creado por él, y para él.
Because in him all things were created, things in the heavens and things upon the earth, things visible and things invisible, whether thrones or lordships or principal offices or positions of authority, all things have been created through him, and for him.
17 Y él es antes de todas las cosas; y todas las cosas subsisten en él;
And he is before all, and in him all things hold together.
18 Y él es la cabeza del cuerpo, a saber, de la iglesia: el cual es principio y primogénito de entre los muertos, para que en todo tenga él el primado.
And he is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might become preeminent in all things.
19 Por cuanto agradó al Padre que en él habitase toda plenitud;
Because in him it was considered good for all the fullness to dwell,
20 Y que por él reconciliase todas las cosas a sí, habiendo hecho la paz por la sangre de su cruz, por él, digo, así las que están en la tierra, como las que están en los cielos.
and through him to reconcile all things to himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross, through him whether things upon the earth or things in the heavens.
21 Y a vosotros también, que eráis en otro tiempo extraños, y enemigos de sentido por las malas obras, ahora empero os ha reconciliado
And you, being formerly alienated and hostile in mind, in works, in things evil. But now he has reconciled
22 En el cuerpo de su carne por medio de la muerte, para presentaros santos, y sin mancha, e irreprensibles delante de él:
in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblemished and unblameable before him.
23 Si empero permanecéis fundados, y afirmados en la fe, y sin moveros de la esperanza del evangelio que habéis oído, el cual es predicado a toda criatura que está debajo del cielo: del cual yo Pablo soy hecho ministro.
If ye truly continue in the faith, founded, and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the good news that ye heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, of which I Paul became a helper.
24 Que ahora me regocijo en lo que padezco por vosotros, y cumplo en mi carne lo que falta de las aflicciones de Cristo por amor de su cuerpo, que es la iglesia:
I now rejoice in sufferings for you, and make complete in my flesh things lacking of the afflictions of the Christ for his body, which is the church.
25 De la cual soy hecho ministro según la dispensación de Dios, la cual me es dada por vosotros, para que cumpla la palabra de Dios:
Of which I became a helper according to the administration of God, which was given to me for you to fulfill the word of God,
26 Es a saber, el misterio escondido desde los siglos y edades; mas que ahora ha sido manifestado a sus santos, (aiōn g165)
the mystery that was hidden from the ages and from the generations, but has now been made known to his sanctified. (aiōn g165)
27 A los cuales quiso Dios hacer notorias las riquezas de la gloria de este misterio entre los Gentiles, que es Cristo en vosotros, esperanza de gloria.
To whom God wanted to make known what is the wealth of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
28 A quien nosotros predicamos, amonestando a todo hombre, y enseñando a todo hombre con toda sabiduría, para que presentemos a todo hombre perfecto en Cristo Jesús:
Whom we proclaim, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, so that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus.
29 A cuyo fin también yo trabajo, luchando según la energía de él, la cual obra en mí poderosamente.
For which also I labor, striving according to his working, which works in me with power.
