Hechos 20

1 Y después que cesó el alboroto, llamando Pablo a los discípulos, habiéndo los abrazado, se partió para ir a Macedonia.

And after the uproar was ceased, Paul called to him the disciples, and embraced them, and departed for to go into Macedonia.

2 Y cuando hubo andado por aquellas partes, y les hubo exhortado con abundancia de palabra, vino a Grecia.

And when he had gone over those parts, and had given them much exhortation, he came into Greece,

3 Y habiendo estado tres meses allí, y estando para navegar a Siria, fuéronle puestas asechanzas por los Judíos; y tomó consejo de volverse por Macedonia.

And there stayed three months. And when the Jews laid wait for him, as he was about to sail into Syria, he purposed to return through Macedonia.

4 Y le acompañaron hasta Asia Sopater de Berea; y de los Tesalonicenses, Aristarco y Segundo; y Gayo de Derbe; y Timoteo; y de Asia, Tíquico y Trófimo.

And there accompanied him into Asia Sopater of Berea; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus; and of Asia, Tychicus and Trophimus.

5 Estos yendo delante, nos esperaron en Troas.

These going before tarried for us at Troas.

6 Y nosotros, pasados los días de los panes sin levadura, navegamos desde Filipos, y vinimos a ellos a Troas en cinco días, donde estuvimos siete días.

And we sailed away from Philippi after the days of unleavened bread, and came to them to Troas in five days; where we stayed seven days.

7 Y el primer día de la semana, juntados los discípulos para romper el pan, Pablo les predicaba, habiendo de partir al día siguiente; y alargó su sermón hasta la media noche.

And on the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached to them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.

8 Y había muchas lámparas en el cenadero donde estaban congregados.

And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.

9 Y un mancebo llamado Eutico, que estaba sentado en una ventana, tomado de un sueño profundo, como Pablo razonaba luengamente, derribado del sueño, cayó desde el tercer piso abajo; y fue alzado muerto.

And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

10 Mas descendiendo Pablo, derribóse sobre él, y abrazándo le, dijo: No os alborotéis, que su vida está en él.

And Paul went down, and fell on him, and embracing him said, Trouble not yourselves; for his life is in him.

11 Y subiendo, y rompiendo el pan, y comiendo, habló largamente hasta el alba, y así se partió.

When he therefore was come up again, and had broken bread, and eaten, and talked a long while, even till break of day, so he departed.

12 Y trajeron al mancebo vivo, y fueron consolados no poco.

And they brought the young man alive, and were not a little comforted.

13 Y nosotros subiendo en la nave navegamos a Asos, para recibir de allí a Pablo; porque así lo había determinado, queriendo él mismo ir a pie.

And we went before to ship, and sailed to Assos, there intending to take in Paul: for so had he appointed, minding himself to go afoot.

14 Y como se juntó con nosotros en Asos, tomándole vinimos a Mitilene.

And when he met with us at Assos, we took him in, and came to Mitylene.

15 Y navegando de allí, al día siguiente vinimos delante de Chio, y al otro día tomamos puerto en Samo; y habiendo reposado en Trogilio, el día siguiente vinimos a Mileto.

And we sailed there, and came the next day over against Chios; and the next day we arrived at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium; and the next day we came to Miletus.

16 Porque Pablo había propuesto de pasar adelante de Efeso, por no detenerse en Asia; porque se apresuraba por estar el día de Pentecostés, si le fuese posible, en Jerusalem.

For Paul had determined to sail by Ephesus, because he would not spend the time in Asia: for he hurried, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem the day of Pentecost.

17 Y enviando desde Mileto a Efeso, hizo llamar a los ancianos de la iglesia.

And from Miletus he sent to Ephesus, and called the elders of the church.

18 Los cuales como vinieron a él, les dijo: Vosotros sabéis desde el primer día que entré en Asia, como he sido con vosotros por todo el tiempo,

And when they were come to him, he said to them, You know, from the first day that I came into Asia, after what manner I have been with you at all seasons,

19 Sirviendo al Señor con toda humildad de ánimo, y con muchas lágrimas y tentaciones que me han venido por las asechanzas de los Judíos.

Serving the LORD with all humility of mind, and with many tears, and temptations, which befell me by the lying in wait of the Jews:

20 Como nada que os fuese útil, me he retraido de anunciaros, enseñando públicamente, y de casa en casa,

And how I kept back nothing that was profitable to you, but have showed you, and have taught you publicly, and from house to house,

21 Testificando a los Judíos, y también a los Griegos el arrepentimiento hacia Dios, y la fe hacia nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo.

Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

22 Y ahora he aquí, que yo, constreñido del Espíritu, voy a Jerusalem sin saber lo que allá me ha de acontecer:

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

23 Solo que el Espíritu Santo por todas las ciudades me da testimonio, diciendo: Que prisiones y tribulaciones me esperan.

Save that the Holy Ghost witnesses in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.

24 Mas de ninguna de estas cosas hago caso, ni tengo mi vida por cosa preciosa a mí mismo, con tal que acabe mi carrera con gozo, y el ministerio que recibí del Señor Jesús, para dar testimonio del evangelio de la gracia de Dios.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear to myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

25 Y ahora he aquí, yo sé que ninguno de todos vosotros por entre quienes he pasado predicando el reino de Dios, verá más mi rostro.

And now, behold, I know that you all, among whom I have gone preaching the kingdom of God, shall see my face no more.

26 Por tanto yo os protesto el día de hoy, que yo estoy limpio de la sangre de todos.

Why I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

27 Porque no me he retraido de anunciaros todo el consejo de Dios.

For I have not shunned to declare to you all the counsel of God.

28 Por tanto mirád por vosotros, y por todo el rebaño sobre el que el Espíritu Santo os ha puesto por sobreveedores, para apacentar la iglesia de Dios, la cual él ganó con su propia sangre.

Take heed therefore to yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he has purchased with his own blood.

29 Porque yo sé, que después de mi partida entrarán entre vosotros graves lobos, que no perdonarán al rebaño;

For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.

30 Y que de entre vosotros mismos se levantarán también hombres, que hablen cosas perversas, para llevar discípulos en pos de sí.

Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.

31 Por tanto velád, acordándoos que por tres años, de noche y de día, no he cesado de amonestar con lágrimas a cada uno de vosotros.

Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

32 Y ahora, hermanos, os encomiendo a Dios, y a la palabra de su gracia, la cual es poderosa para edificaros, y daros herencia con todos los que son santificados.

And now, brothers, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified.

33 La plata, o el oro, o el vestido de nadie he codiciado.

I have coveted no man’s silver, or gold, or apparel.

34 Antes vosotros sabéis, que para lo que me ha sido necesario, y a los que estaban conmigo, estas manos me han servido.

Yes, you yourselves know, that these hands have ministered to my necessities, and to them that were with me.

35 En todo os he enseñado, que trabajando así, debéis sobrellevar a los enfermos, y acordaros del dicho del Señor Jesús, el cual dijo: Más bienaventurado es dar, que recibir.

I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

36 Y como hubo dicho estas cosas, puesto de rodillas oró con todos ellos.

And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled down, and prayed with them all.

37 Entonces hubo un gran llanto de todos; y derribándose sobre el cuello de Pablo, le besaban,

And they all wept sore, and fell on Paul’s neck, and kissed him,

38 Doliéndose sobre todo por la palabra que dijo, que no habían de ver más su rostro. Y le acompañaron hasta la nave.

Sorrowing most of all for the words which he spoke, that they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him to the ship.
