2 Tesalonicenses 1

1 Pablo, y Silvano, y Timoteo, a la iglesia de los Tesalonicenses que es en Dios el Padre nuestro, y en el Señor Jesu Cristo.

PAUL, and Silvanus, and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians in God our Father and in the Lord Jesus Christ:

2 Gracia a vosotros y paz de Dios nuestro Padre, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.

grace unto you and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Debemos siempre dar gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es digno, de que vuestra fe va en grande crecimiento, y el amor de cada uno de todos vosotros abunda más y más entre vosotros:

We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as it is fit, because your faith groweth exceedingly, and the love of every one of you all towards each other aboundeth:

4 Tanto, que nosotros mismos nos gloriamos de vosotros en las iglesias de Dios, de vuestra paciencia y fe en todas vuestras persecuciones y tribulaciones que sufrís,

so that we ourselves make our boast of you among the churches of God, for your patience and fidelity under all your persecutions and afflictions which ye endure:

5 En testimonio del justo juicio de Dios, para que seáis tenidos por dignos del reino de Dios, por el cual asimismo padecéis;

which is a manifest proof of the righteous judgment of God, that ye should be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

6 Como es justo para con Dios, pagar con tribulación a los que os atribulan;

seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you;

7 Y a vosotros, que sois atribulados, daros reposo juntamente con nosotros, cuando se manifestará el Señor Jesús desde el cielo con los ángeles de su poder,

and to you who are troubled, rest with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus Christ from heaven with his mighty angels,

8 En fuego de llama, para dar el pago a los que no conocieron a Dios, ni obedecen al evangelio del Señor nuestro Jesu Cristo:

in a flame of fire, taking vengeance of them that know not God, and obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Los cuales serán castigados con eterna perdición procedente de la presencia del Señor, y de la gloria de su poder; (aiōnios g166)

who shall receive punishment, even eternal perdition, from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power: (aiōnios g166)

10 Cuando viniere para ser glorificado en sus santos, y a hacerse de admirar, en aquel día, en todos los que creyeron: por cuanto nuestro testimonio ha sido creído entre vosotros.

when he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired by all those who believe; because our testimony was believed among you in that day.

11 Por lo cual asimismo oramos siempre por vosotros, que nuestro Dios os repute dignos de su vocación, y cumpla toda la buena complacencia de su bondad, y la obra de fe con poder;

Wherefore also we pray continually for you, that our God would count you worthy of the calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power:

12 Para que el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesu Cristo sea glorificado en vosotros, y vosotros en él, por la gracia de nuestro Dios, y del Señor Jesu Cristo.

that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified by you, and you by him, according to the grace of our God and Lord, Jesus Christ.
