2 Samuel 21
1 Y en los días de David hubo hambre por tres años, uno tras otro: y David consultó a Jehová, y Jehová le dijo: Por Saul, y por la casa de sangres: porque mató a los Gabaonitas.
Now there was a famine in the days of David for three consecutive years, so David sought the face of the LORD. And the LORD said, "There is bloodguilt on Saul and on his house, because he murdered the Gibeonites."
2 Entonces el rey llamó a los Gabaonitas, y hablóles. Los Gabaonitas no eran de los hijos de Israel, sino de las restas de los Amorreos, a los cuales los hijos de Israel habían hecho juramento: mas Saul había procurado de matarlos con celo, por los hijos de Israel y de Judá.
So the king summoned the Gibeonites, and spoke to them. (Now the Gibeonites were not of the children of Israel but of the remnant of the Amorites. And the children of Israel had sworn to them, but Saul sought to exterminate them in his zeal for the children of Israel and Judah.)
3 Y dijo David a los Gabaonitas: ¿Qué os haré, y con qué expiaré para que bendigáis a la heredad de Jehová?
And David said to the Gibeonites, "What can I do for you? And how can I make atonement, that you may bless the inheritance of the LORD?"
4 Y los Gabaonitas le respondieron: No tenemos nosotros pleito sobre plata, ni sobre oro con Saul y con su casa: ni queremos que hombre de Israel muera. Y él les dijo: Lo que vosotros dijereis os haré.
The Gibeonites said to him, "It is not a matter of silver or gold between us and Saul or his house, nor is it our place to put anyone to death in Israel." Then he said, "What do you want? For I will do it for you."
5 Y ellos respondieron al rey: Aquel hombre que nos destruyó, y que maquinó contra nosotros, asolaremos que no quede nada de él, en todo el término de Israel.
So they said to the king, "The man who opposed us and persecuted us, who meant to eradicate us from having a place anywhere in the territory of Israel,
6 Dénsenos siete varones de sus hijos, para que los crucifiquemos a Jehová en Gabaa de Saul, el escogido de Jehová. Y el rey dijo: Yo los daré.
let seven of his sons be delivered to us, and we will hang them before the LORD at Gibeon on the mountain of the LORD." And the king replied, "I will do it."
7 Y el rey perdonó a Mifi-boset, hijo de Jonatán, hijo de Saul, por el juramento de Jehová, que hubo entre ellos, entre David y Jonatán, hijo de Saul:
But the king spared Mippibaal, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, because of the LORD's oath that was between them, between David and Jonathan the son of Saul.
8 Mas tomó el rey dos hijos de Resfa, hija de Aia, los cuales ella había parido a Saul, es a saber a Armoni, y a Mifi-boset; y cinco hijos de Micol, hija de Saul, los cuales ella había parido a Adriel, hijo de Berzellai Molatita:
But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bore to Saul, Armoni and Mippibaal; and the five sons of Merob the daughter of Saul, whom she bore to Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite.
9 Y entrególos en mano de los Gabaonitas, y ellos los crucificaron en el monte delante de Jehová, y murieron juntos aquellos siete, los cuales fueron muertos en el tiempo de la siega en los primeros días, en el principio de la siega de las cebadas.
And he delivered them into the hands of the Gibeonites, and they hanged them on the mountain before the LORD, and all seven of them fell together. And they were put to death in the first days of harvest at the beginning of barley harvest.
10 Y tomando Resfa, hija de Aia, un saco, tendiósele sobre un peñasco desde el principio de la segada hasta que llovió sobre ellos agua del cielo: y no dejó a ninguna ave del cielo sentarse sobre ellos de día, ni bestias del campo de noche.
And Rizpah the daughter of Aiah took sackcloth and spread it for herself on a rock, from the beginning of harvest until it rained on them from the sky. And she did not allow the birds of the sky to rest on them by day, nor the wild animals by night.
11 Y fue dicho a David lo que hacía Resfa, hija de Aia, concubina de Saul.
It was told David what Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, the secondary wife of Saul, had done.
12 Y fue David, y tomó los huesos de Saul, y los huesos de Jonatán su hijo, de los varones de Jabes de Galaad, que los habían hurtado de la plaza de Bet-sán, donde los habían colgado los Filisteos, cuando los Filisteos deshicieron a Saul en Gelboé.
Then David went and obtained the bones of Saul and the bones of his son Jonathan from the citizens of Jabesh Gilead, who had stolen them from the public square of Beth Shan, where the Philistines had hung them on the day that the Philistines killed Saul on Gilboa;
13 Y tomó los huesos de Saul, y los huesos de Jonatán su hijo, y juntaron también los huesos de los crucificados,
and he brought up from there the bones of Saul and the bones of Jonathan his son. And they gathered the bones of those who were hanged.
14 Y sepultaron los huesos de Saul, y los de Jonatán su hijo en tierra de Ben-jamín, en Sela, en el sepulcro de Cis su padre: e hicieron todo lo que el rey había mandado: y Dios se aplacó con la tierra.
And he buried the bones of Saul and Jonathan in the land of Benjamin in Zela, in the tomb of Kish his father. And they performed all that the king commanded. After that God responded to prayers for the land.
15 Y los Filisteos tornaron a hacer guerra a Israel, y David descendió, y sus siervos con él, y pelearon con los Filisteos, y David se cansó.
The Philistines had war again with Israel; and David went down, and his servants with him, and fought against the Philistines. Now David became exhausted,
16 Y Jesbi-benob, el cual era de los hijos del gigante, y el peso de su lanza tenía trescientos siclos de metal, y él estaba vestido de nuevo, este había determinado de herir a David.
and Dodo son of Joash, of the descendants of the Raphah, captured him. His spear weighed three hundred bronze shekels, and he was girded with a new sword, and he thought he could kill David.
17 Mas Abisaí, hijo de Sarvia, le socorrió, e hirió al Filisteo, y le mató. Entonces los varones de David le juraron, y dijeron: Nunca más de aquí adelante saldrás con nosotros en batalla, porque no mates la lámpara de Israel.
But Abishai the son of Zeruiah helped him and struck the Philistine, and killed him. Then the men of David took an oath, saying, "You must not go out to battle with us again, so that you do not extinguish the lamp of Israel."
18 Otra segunda guerra hubo después en Gob contra los Filisteos: entonces Sobocai Husatita hirió a Saf, que era de los hijos del gigante.
Now it came to pass after this that there was another battle with the Philistines at Gezer. Then Sibbekai the Hushathite killed Saph, a descendant of the Raphah.
19 Otra guerra hubo en Gob contra los Filisteos, en la cual Elhanán, hijo de Jaere-orgim de Belén, hirió a Goliat Geteo, el asta de la lanza del cual era como un enjullo de telar.
There was again war with the Philistines at Gob; and Elhanan the son of Jair the Bethlehemite killed the brother of Goliath the Gittite, the staff of whose spear was like a weaver's beam.
20 Después hubo otra guerra en Get, donde hubo un varón de grande altura, el cual tenía doce dedos en las manos, y otros doce en los pies, que eran veinte y cuatro por cuenta: y también era de los hijos del gigante.
There was another battle at Gath, where there was a man of great stature who had on six fingers on each hand, and six toes on each foot, twenty four in number, and he also was a descendant of Raphah.
21 Este desafió a Israel, y matóle Jonatán, hijo de Samma, hermano de David.
When he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimeah, David's brother, killed him.
22 Estos cuatro le habían nacido a Rafa en Get, los cuales cayeron por la mano de David, y por la mano de sus siervos.
These four were descendants of Raphah in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.
