1 En su tiempo subió Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia, al cual Joacim sirvió tres años, y volvió, y se rebeló contra él.
In his days, came up Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, —and Jehoiakim became his servant three years, then turned he and rebelled against him.
2 Y Jehová envió contra él ejércitos de Caldeos, y ejércitos de Siros, y ejércitos de Moabitas, y ejércitos de Ammonitas: los cuales él envió contra Judá, para que la destruyesen, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, que había hablado por sus siervos los profetas.
And Yahweh sent against him troops of Chaldeans, and troops of Syrians, and troops of Moabites, and troops of the sons of Ammon, yea he sent them against Judah, to destroy him, —according to the word of Yahweh, which he spake through his servants the prophets.
3 Ciertamente esto fue contra Judá por dicho de Jehová, para quitarla de delante de su presencia, por los pecados de Manasés, conforme a todo lo que hizo.
Surely, it was, because of the anger of Yahweh, that this came upon Judah, to remove them from his presence, —for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done:
4 Asimismo por la sangre inocente, que derramó, que hinchió a Jerusalem de sangre inocente; por tanto Jehová no quiso perdonar.
moreover also, for the innocent blood that he had shed, so that he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, —which Yahweh was not willing to pardon.
5 Lo demás de los hechos de Joacim, y todas las cosas que hizo, ¿no está escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
Now, the rest of the story of Jehoiakim, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
6 Y durmió Joacim con sus padres, y reinó en su lugar Joaquín su hijo.
So Jehoiakim slept with his fathers, —and, Jehoiachin his son, reigned, in his stead.
7 Y nunca más el rey de Egipto salió de su tierra: porque el rey de Babilonia le tomó todo lo que era suyo, desde el río de Egipto hasta el río Éufrates.
And the king of Egypt came no more again out of his land, —for the king of Babylon had taken—from the ravine of Egypt, unto the river Euphrates, all that had belonged to the king of Egypt.
8 De diez y ocho años era Joaquín cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem tres meses. El nombre de su madre fue Nehusta, hija de Elnatán de Jerusalem.
Eighteen years old, was Jehoiachin when he began to reign, and, three months, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Nehushta daughter of Elnathan, of Jerusalem.
9 E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, conforme a todas las cosas que había hecho su padre.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, his father, had done.
10 En aquel tiempo subieron los siervos de Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia contra Jerusalem, y la ciudad fue cercada.
At that time, came up the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem, —and the city came into the siege.
11 Y vino también Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia contra la ciudad, y sus siervos la tenían cercada.
And Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came against the city, and his servants were about to besiege it.
12 Entonces salió Joaquín rey de Judá al rey de Babilonia, él y su madre, y sus siervos, y sus príncipes, y sus eunucos. Y el rey de Babilonia le tomó en el octavo año de su reino.
Then came out Jehoiachin king of Judah, unto the king of Babylon, he and his mother, and his servants, and his generals, and his courtiers, —and the king of Babylon took him, in the eighth year of his reign.
13 Y sacó de allá todos los tesoros de la casa de Jehová, y los tesoros de la casa real, y quebró en piezas todos los vasos de oro que había hecho Salomón rey de Israel en la casa de Jehová, como Jehová había dicho.
And he carried forth from thence, all the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the house of the king, —and he cut off all the fittings of gold, which Solomon king of Israel had made in the temple of Yahweh, according to all that, Yahweh, had spoken.
14 Y llevó cautivos a toda Jerusalem, a todos los príncipes, y a todos los hombres valientes, diez mil cautivos: asimismo a todos los oficiales, y cerrajeros, que no quedó nadie, sino fue la pobreza del pueblo de la tierra.
And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the generals, and all the mighty men of valour, ten thousand becoming captives, and all the artificers and the smiths, —none remained save the poorest of the people of the land.
15 Asimismo trasportó a Joaquín a Babilonia, y a la madre del rey, y a las mujeres del rey, y a sus eunucos, y a los poderosos de la tierra, los llevó cautivos de Jerusalem en Babilonia.
And he carried away captive Jehoiachin, to Babylon, —and, the king’s mother, and the king’s wives, and his courtiers, and the nobles of the land, took he away captive, from Jerusalem to Babylon.
16 A todos los hombres de guerra que fueron siete mil, y a los oficiales y cerrajeros que fueron mil, y a todos los valientes que hacían la guerra, llevó cautivos el rey de Babilonia.
And, all the men of might—seven thousand, and artificers and smiths—a thousand, all who were valiant and ready to make war, the king of Babylon brought them captive to Babylon.
17 Y el rey de Babilonia puso por rey a Matanías su tio en su lugar, y mudóle el nombre, y llamóle Sedecías.
And the king of Babylon made Mattaniah, his relative, king in his stead, —and changed his name to Zedekiah.
18 De veinte y un año era Sedecías, cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem once años, el nombre de su madre fue Amital, hija de Jeremías de Lebna.
Twenty-one years old, was Zedekiah when he began to reign, and, eleven years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Hamutal, daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
19 E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, conforme a todo lo que había hecho Joacim.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —according to all that, Jehoiakim, had done.
20 Porque la ira de Jehová era contra Jerusalem y Judá; hasta que los echó de delante de su presencia. Y Sedecías se rebeló contra el rey de Babilonia.
For, it was because the anger of Yahweh had come against Jerusalem, and against Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled, against the king of Babylon.
