2 Reyes 21
1 De doce años era Manasés cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó en Jerusalem cincuenta y cinco años: el nombre de su madre fue Hapsiba.
Twelve years old, was Manasseh when he began to reign, and, fifty-five years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and the name of his mother was Hephzibah.
2 E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, según las abominaciones de las gentes que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —after the abominable practices of the nations, whom Yahweh had dispossessed from before the sons of Israel.
3 Porque él volvió a edificar los altos que Ezequías su padre había derribado: y levantó altares a Baal, e hizo bosque, como había hecho Acab rey de Israel; y adoró a todo el ejército del cielo, y sirvió a aquellas cosas.
He again built the high places, which Hezekiah his father had destroyed, —and reared altars to Baal, and made a Sacred Stem, as did Ahab, king of Israel, and bowed down to all the army of the heavens, and served them.
4 Asimismo edificó altares en la casa de Jehová, de la cual Jehová había dicho: Yo pondré mi nombre en Jerusalem.
And he used to build altars in the house of Yahweh, —concerning which Yahweh had said, —In Jerusalem, will I put my Name.
5 Y edificó altares para todo el ejército del cielo en los dos patios de la casa de Jehová.
And he built altars to all the army of the heavens, —in the two courts of the house of Yahweh;
6 Y pasó a su hijo por fuego, y miró en tiempos, y fue agorero, e instituyó pitones y adivinos, y multiplicó a hacer lo malo en ojos de Jehová, para provocarle a ira.
and caused his son to pass through the fire, and practised hidden arts and used divination, and dealt with a familiar spirit and wizards, —he exceeded in doing the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, provoking [him] to anger;
7 Y puso una entalladura del bosque que él había hecho, en la casa de la cual Jehová había dicho a David, y a Salomón su hijo: Yo pondré mi nombre perpetuamente en esta casa, y en Jerusalem, a la cual yo escogí de todas las tribus de Israel:
and he set the image of the Sacred Stem which he had made, —in the house, of which Yahweh had said unto David, and unto Solomon his son, In this house, and in Jerusalem which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my Name, unto times age-abiding;
8 Y no volveré a hacer que el pie de Israel sea movido de la tierra, que di a sus padres, con tal que guarden, y hagan conforme a todas las cosas que yo les he mandado, y conforme a toda la ley que mi siervo Moisés les mandó.
and I will not again let the foot of Israel wander away from the soil which I gave unto their fathers. Only if they take heed to do according to all that I have commanded them, even to the extent of all the law which, my servant Moses, commanded them.
9 Mas ellos no oyeron, y Manasés los hizo errar a que hiciesen más mal que las gentes, que Jehová rayó de delante de los hijos de Israel.
But they hearkened not, —and Manasseh led them astray to do the thing that was wicked, more than the nations which Yahweh destroyed from before the sons of Israel.
10 Y Jehová habló por mano de sus siervos los profetas, diciendo:
Yahweh therefore spake through his servants the prophets saying—
11 Por cuanto Manasés rey de Judá ha hecho estas abominaciones, y ha hecho más mal, que todo lo que hicieron los Amorreos, que fueron antes de él, y también ha hecho pecar a Judá en sus ídolos:
Because Manasseh king of Judah hath made these abominations—hath done that which is wicked, more than all which the Amorites did who were before him, and hath caused, even Judah, to sin with his manufactured gods,
12 Por tanto así dijo Jehová el Dios de Israel: He aquí, yo traigo mal sobre Jerusalem, y sobre Judá, que el que lo oyere le retiñan ambas orejas.
therefore—Thus, saith Yahweh, God of Israel, Behold me! bringing in calamity upon Jerusalem and Judah, —that, whosoever heareth thereof, both his ears, will tingle;
13 Y extenderé sobre Jerusalem el cordel de Samaria, y el plomo de la casa de Acab: y yo limpiaré a Jerusalem, como quien limpia una escudilla, que después que la han limpiado, la vuelven sobre su haz.
And I will stretch over Jerusalem, the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab, —and will wipe out Jerusalem, as one wipeth out a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down;
14 Y desampararé los restos de mi heredad, y entregarlas he en manos de sus enemigos, y serán para saco, y para robo a todos sus adversarios:
And will abandon the remnant of mine inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies, —and they shall become a prey and a plunder, to all their enemies:
15 Por cuanto han hecho lo malo en mis ojos, y me han provocado a ira, desde el día que sus padres salieron de Egipto hasta hoy.
Because they have done the thing that is wicked in mine eyes, and have become such as to provoke me to anger, —from the day when their fathers came forth out of Egypt, even until this day.
16 Allende de esto derramó Manasés mucha sangre inocente en gran manera, hasta henchir a Jerusalem de cabo a cabo: además de su pecado con que hizo pecar a Judá para que hiciese lo malo en ojos de Jehová.
Moreover also, innocent blood, did Manasseh shed in great abundance, till he had filled Jerusalem, from one end to the other, besides his committing the sins which he caused, Judah, to commit, in doing the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh.
17 Lo demás de los hechos de Manasés, y todas las cosas que hizo, y su pecado que pecó, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
Now, the rest of the story of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he committed, are, they, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
18 Y durmió Manasés con sus padres, y fue sepultado en el huerto de su casa, en el huerto de Oza, y reinó en su lugar Amón su hijo.
And Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza, —and, Amon his son, reigned, in his stead.
19 De veinte y dos años era Amón cuando comenzó a reinar, y reinó dos años en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Messalemet, hija de Harus de Joreba.
Twenty-two years old, was Amon when he began to reign, and, two years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, his mother’s name, was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz, of Jotbah.
20 E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como había hecho Manasés su padre.
And he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, —as did Manasseh his father;
21 Y anduvo en todos los caminos en que su padre anduvo: y sirvió a las inmundicias a las cuales había servido su padre, y a ellas adoró.
yea he walked in all the way wherein, his father, had walked, —and served the manufactured gods that, his father, had served, and bowed down to them;
22 Y dejó a Jehová el Dios de sus padres, y no anduvo en el camino de Jehová.
and forsook Yahweh the God of his fathers, —and walked not in the way of Yahweh.
23 Y conspiraron contra él los siervos de Amón, y mataron al rey en su casa.
And the servants of Amon, conspired against him, —and slew the king in his own house.
24 Y el pueblo de la tierra hirió a todos los que habían conspirado contra el rey Amón, y puso el pueblo de la tierra por rey en su lugar a Josías su hijo.
Then the people of the land smote all who had conspired against King Amon, —and the people of the land made, Josiah his son, king, in his stead.
25 Lo demás de los hechos de Amón, que hizo, ¿no está todo escrito en el libro de las crónicas de los reyes de Judá?
Now, the rest of the story of Amon, what he did, is, it, not written in the book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
26 Y fue sepultado en su sepulcro en el huerto de Oza: y reinó en su lugar Josías su hijo.
And he was buried in his grave, in the garden of Uzza, —and, Josiah his son, reigned, in his stead.
