2 Crónicas 28
1 De veinte años era Acaz cuando comenzó a reinar, y diez y seis años reinó en Jerusalem: mas no hizo lo recto en ojos de Jehová, como David su padre.
Twenty years old, was Ahaz when he began to reign, and, sixteen years, reigned he in Jerusalem, —but he did not that which was right in the eyes of Yahweh, like David his father;
2 Antes anduvo en los caminos de los reyes de Israel: y además de eso hizo imágenes de fundición a los Baales.
but walked in the ways of the kings of Israel, —yea, even molten images, made he to the Baalim;
3 Este también quemó perfume en el valle de los hijos de Hennón, y quemó sus hijos por fuego, conforme a las abominaciones de las gentes, que Jehová había echado delante de los hijos de Israel.
and, he, burned incense, in the valley of the son of Hinnom, -and burnt his sons, in the fire, according to the abominable ways of the nations, whom Yahweh dispossessed from before the sons of Israel.
4 Ítem, sacrificó, y quemó perfumes en los altos, y en los collados, y debajo de todo árbol sombrío.
And he sacrificed and burnt incense in the high places, and upon the hills, —and under every green tree.
5 Por lo cual Jehová su Dios le entregó en manos del rey de los Asirios, los cuales le hirieron, y cautivaron de él una grande presa, que llevaron a Damasco. Fue también entregado en manos del rey de Israel, el cual le hirió de gran mortandad.
Wherefore Yahweh his God delivered him into the hand of the king of Syria, who smote him, and carried away captive from him a large body of captives, and brought them into Damascus, —yea, even into the hand of the king of Israel, was he delivered, who smote him with a great smiting.
6 Porque Facee, hijo de Romelías, mató en Judá en un día ciento y veinte mil hombres, todos valientes; por cuanto habían dejado a Jehová el Dios de sus padres.
And Pekah son of Remaliah slew, in Judah, a hundred and twenty thousand in one day, all, sons of valour, -because they had forsaken Yahweh, God of their fathers.
7 Asimismo Zecrí, hombre poderoso de Efraím, mató a Maasías, hijo del rey, y a Ezricam su mayordomo, y a Elcana segundo después del rey.
And Zichri a hero of Ephraim, slew Maaseiah son of the king, and Azrikam, chief ruler of the house, —and Elkanah, that was next unto the king.
8 Tomaron también cautivos los hijos de Israel de sus hermanos doscientas mil, mujeres, y muchachos, y muchachas, además de haber saqueado de ellos un gran despojo, el cual trajeron a Samaria.
And the sons of Israel, carried away captive, from among their brethren two hundred thousand, wives, sons and daughters, moreover also, of much spoil, did they plunder them, —and brought the spoil to Samaria.
9 Entonces había allí un profeta de Jehová, que se llamaba Obed, el cual salió delante del ejército cuando entraba en Samaria, y díjoles: He aquí, Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres por el enojo contra Judá los ha entregado en vuestras manos, y vosotros los habéis muerto con ira: hasta el cielo ha llegado esto.
But, in that place, was a prophet unto Yahweh, Oded his name, so he went out to meet the host that was coming unto Samaria, and said unto them, Lo! in the wrath of Yahweh, God of your fathers, against Judah, hath he delivered them into your hand, —and ye have slain them in a rage, until, to the heavens, it hath reached.
10 Y ahora habéis determinado de sujetar a vosotros a Judá y a Jerusalem por siervos y siervas: ¿no habéis vosotros pecado contra Jehová vuestro Dios?
Now, therefore, ye, are thinking to tread down, the children of Judah and Jerusalem, as servants and as handmaids for yourselves. But is it not so—that, ye yourselves, are altogether guilty against Yahweh your God?
11 Oídme pues ahora, y volvéd a enviar los cautivos que habéis tomado de vuestros hermanos: porque Jehová está airado contra vosotros.
Now, therefore, hearken unto me, and restore the captives whom ye have taken captive from among your brethren, —for, the glow of the anger of Yahweh, is over you.
12 Levantáronse entonces algunos varones de los principales de los hijos de Efraím, Azarías, hijo de Johanán, y Baraquías, hijo de Mosollamot, y Ezequías, hijo de Sellum, y Amasa, hijo de Hadali, contra los que venían de la guerra,
Then rose up certain of the chiefs of the sons of Ephraim—Azariah son of Jehohanan, Berechiah son of Meshillemoth, and Jehizkiah son of Shallum, and Amasa son of Hadlai, —against them who were coming in from the army;
13 Y dijéronles: No metáis acá la cautividad: porque el pecado contra Jehová será sobre nosotros. Vosotros pensáis de añadir sobre nuestros pecados y sobre nuestras culpas, siendo asaz grande nuestro delito, y la ira del furor sobre Israel.
and said unto them, Ye shall not bring in the captives hither, for, with guilt against Yahweh already upon us, ye, are thinking to add unto our sins, and unto our guilt, —for great is the guilt we have, and fierce is the anger over Israel.
14 Entonces el ejército dejó los cautivos y la presa delante de los príncipes y de toda la multitud.
So the armed men left the captives, and tile plunder, before the rulers, and all the convocation.
15 Y levantáronse los varones nombrados, y tomaron los cautivos, y vistieron del despojo a los que de ellos estaban desnudos: vistiéronlos, y calzáronlos, y diéronles de comer y de beber, y ungiéronlos, y llevaron en asnos a todos los flacos, y trajéronlos hasta Jericó, la ciudad de las palmas, cerca de sus hermanos: y ellos se volvieron a Samaria.
Then rose up the men who have been expressed by name—and took the captives, and, all who were naked among them, clothed they out of the spoil, and arrayed them and sandalled them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and conducted them with asses for every one that was exhausted, and brought them to Jericho the city of palm-trees, near unto their brethren, —and then returned to Samaria.
16 En aquel tiempo envió el rey Acaz a los reyes de Asiria que le ayudasen.
At that time, sent King Ahaz unto the kings of Assyria to help him.
17 Porque además de esto los Idumeos habían venido, y habían herido a los de Judá, y habían llevado cautivos.
For again had, the Edomites, come and smitten Judah, and carried away captives;
18 Asimismo los Filisteos se habían derramado por las ciudades de la campaña, y al mediodía de Judá, y habían tomado a Bet-sames, Ajalón, Gaderot, Soco con sus aldeas, Tamna con sus aldeas, y Ganzo con sus aldeas, y habitaban en ellas.
and, the Philistines, had spread themselves out against the cities of the lowland and of the south, pertaining to Judah, and had captured Beth-shemesh and Aijalon and Gederoth, and Soco with its villages, and Timnah with its villages, and Gimzo, with its villages, —and dwelt there.
19 Porque Jehová había humillado a Judá por causa de Acaz rey de Israel; por cuanto él había desnudado a Judá, y se había rebelado gravemente contra Jehová.
For Yahweh had brought Judah low, because of Ahaz king of Israel, —for he had given the rein in Judah, and, been grievously unfaithful, with Yahweh.
20 Y vino contra él Teglat-palasar rey de los Asirios, y cercóle, y no le fortificó.
And Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, came against him, —and distressed him, but strengthened him not.
21 Aunque despojó Acaz la casa de Jehová, y la casa real, y las de los príncipes para dar al rey de los Asirios: con todo eso él no le ayudó.
For Ahaz took away a portion out of the house of Yahweh, and out of the house of the king, and the rulers, —and gave unto the king of Assyria, but he helped him not.
22 Además de eso el rey Acaz en el tiempo que le afligía, añadió prevaricación contra Jehová.
And, in the time of his distress, he yet further acted unfaithfully with Yahweh, —he, King Ahaz!
23 Y sacrificó a los dioses de Damasco que le habían herido, y dijo: Pues que los dioses de los reyes de Siria les ayudan, yo también sacrificaré a ellos para que me ayuden, habiendo estos sido su ruina, y la de todo Israel.
For he sacrificed unto the gods of Damascus who had smitten him, and said, Because the gods of the kings of Syria are helping them, unto them, will I sacrifice, that they may help me. But, they, served to seduce him and all Israel.
24 Asimismo Acaz recogió los vasos de la casa de Dios, y quebrólos, y cerró las puertas de la casa de Jehová, e hízose altares en Jerusalem en todos los rincones.
And Ahaz gathered together the utensils of the house of God, and brake away the fittings of the house of God, and shut up the doors of the house of Yahweh, —and made for himself altars at every corner in Jerusalem;
25 E hizo también altos en todas las ciudades de Judá para quemar perfumes a los dioses ajenos, provocando a ira a Jehová el Dios de sus padres.
and, in every several city of Judah, made he high places, for burning incense unto other gods, —and provoked Yahweh, God of his fathers.
26 Lo demás de sus hechos, y todos sus caminos, primeros y postreros, he aquí, ello está escrito en el libro de los reyes de Judá y de Israel.
But, the rest of his story, and all his ways, first and last, there they are, written the book of the Kings of Judah and Israel.
27 Y durmió Acaz con sus padres, y sepultáronle en la ciudad de Jerusalem: mas no le metieron en los sepulcros de los reyes de Israel: y reinó en su lugar Ezequías su hijo.
And Ahaz slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city, in Jerusalem, but they brought him not into the sepulchres of the kings of Israel, —and Hezekiah his son reigned in his stead.
