2 Crónicas 22
1 Y los moradores de Jerusalem hicieron rey a Ocozías su hijo menor en su lugar: porque el ejército que había venido con los Árabes en el campo había muerto todos los mayores: por lo cual reinó Ocozías, hijo de Joram rey de Judá.
And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king, in his stead, for, all the elder sons, had the band of men slain who came in with the Arabians into the camp, —so Ahaziah son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.
2 Cuando Ocozías comenzó a reinar era de cuarenta y dos años, y reinó un año en Jerusalem. El nombre de su madre fue Atalía, hija de Amrí.
Forty-two years old, was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and, one year, reigned he in Jerusalem, —and, the name of his mother, was Athaliah, daughter of Omri.
3 Este también anduvo en los caminos de la casa de Acab; porque su madre le aconsejaba a hacer impíamente.
He too, walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, —for, his mother, became his counselor, to work lawlessness.
4 E hizo lo malo en ojos de Jehová, como la casa de Acab; porque después de la muerte de su padre ellos le aconsejaron para su perdición.
Wherefore he did the thing that was wicked in the eyes of Yahweh, like the house of Ahab, —for, they, became his counselors, after the death of his father, to his destruction.
5 Y él anduvo en los consejos de ellos, y fue a la guerra con Joram, hijo de Acab, rey de Israel, contra Hazael rey de Siria, a Ramot de Galaad, donde los Siros hirieron a Joram.
Even in their counsel, he walked, and went with Jehoram son of Ahab king of Israel, to war against Hazael king of Syria, in Ramoth-gilead, —and the Syrians smote Joram.
6 Y volvió para curarse a Jezrael de las heridas que tenía, que le habían dado en Rama peleando con Hazael rey de Siria. Y descendió Azarías, hijo de Joram, rey de Judá, a visitar a Joram, hijo de Acab, en Jezrael, porque allí estaba enfermo.
And he returned to be healed in Jezreel, because of the wounds wherewith they smote him in Ramah, when he fought with Hazael, king of Syria, —and, Azariah son of Jehoram king of Judah, went down to see Jehoram son of Ahab in Jezreel, because, sick, was he!
7 Y esto empero venía de Dios, para que Ocozías fuese hollado viniendo a Joram: porque siendo venido, salió con Joram a encontrarse con Jehú, hijo de Namsí, al cual Jehová había ungido para que talase la casa de Acab.
But, from God, came the downfall of Azariah, through his coming to Joram, —and because, through his coming, he went out with Jehoram against Jehu son of Nimshi, whom Yahweh had anointed to cut off the house of Ahab.
8 Y fue, qué, haciendo juicio Jehú con la casa de Acab, halló a los príncipes de Judá, y a los hijos de los hermanos de Ocozías, que servían a Ocozías, y los mató.
And so it came to pass, when Jehu was executing judgment upon the house of Ahab, —and found the rulers of Judah and the sons of the brethren of Ahaziah ministering to Ahaziah, that he slew them.
9 Y buscando a Ocozías, el cual se había escondido en Samaria, le tomaron, y le trajeron a Jehú; y le mataron, y le sepultaron; porque dijeron: Es hijo de Josafat, el cual buscó a Jehová de todo su corazón. Y la casa de Ocozías no tenía fuerzas para poder retener el reino.
And he sought Ahaziah, and they captured him, he, having hid himself in Samaria, and they brought him unto Jehu, and he put him to death, and they buried him, because, said they, he is, the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought Yahweh with all his heart, —and, no one of the house of Ahaziah, had ability for the kingdom.
10 Entonces Atalía, madre de Ocozías, viendo que su hijo era muerto, levantóse, y destruyó toda la simiente real de la casa de Judá:
But, when, Athaliah mother of Ahaziah, saw that her son was dead, she rose up and destroyed all the seed royal of the house of Judah.
11 Y Josabet, hija del rey, tomó a Joas, hijo de Ocozías, y hurtóle de entre los hijos del rey que mataban, y guardóle a él y a su ama en la cámara de los lechos: y así le escondió Josabet, hija del rey Joram, (mujer de Joiada el sacerdote, porque ella era hermana de Ocozías, ) de delante de Atalía, y no le mataron.
But Jehoshabeath, daughter of the king, took Joash son of Ahaziah, and stole him from among the sons of the king who were being slain, and put him and his nurse in a bedchamber, —so Jehoshabeath daughter of King Jehoram—wife of Jehoiada the priest, for, she, was the sister of Ahaziah—hid him from the face of Athaliah so that she slew him not.
12 Y estuvo con ellos escondido en la casa de Dios seis años. Y Atalía reinaba en la tierra.
And it came to pass that he was with them, in the house of God, hidden six years, -while, Athaliah, was reigning over the land.
