1 Samuel 12

1 Y dijo Samuel a todo Israel: He aquí, yo he oído vuestra voz en todas las cosas que me habéis dicho, y os he puesto rey.

Samuel then said vnto all Israel, Behold, I haue hearkened vnto your voyce in all that yee sayde vnto mee, and haue appoynted a King ouer you.

2 Ahora, pues, he aquí vuestro rey va delante de vosotros. Porque yo ya soy viejo y cano; mas mis hijos están con vosotros, y yo he andado delante de vosotros desde mi mocedad hasta este día.

Now therefore behold, your King walketh before you, and I am old and graie headed, and beholde, my sonnes are with you: and I haue walked before you from my childehood vnto this day.

3 Aquí estoy, contestád contra mí delante de Jehová, y delante de su ungido, si he tomado el buey de alguno, o si he tomado el asno de alguno, o si he calumniado a alguno, o si he injuriado a alguno, o si he tomado cohecho de alguno por el cual haya cubierto mis ojos: y satisfaceros he.

Beholde, here I am: beare recorde of me before the Lord and before his Anointed. Whose oxe haue I taken? or whose asse haue I taken? or whome haue I done wrong to? or whome haue I hurt? or of whose hande haue I receiued any bribe, to blinde mine eyes therewith, and I will restore it you?

4 Entonces ellos dijeron: Nunca nos has calumniado, ni injuriado, ni has tomado algo de mano de ningún hombre.

Then they sayde, Thou hast done vs no wrong, nor hast hurt vs, neither hast thou taken ought of any mans hand.

5 Y él les dijo: Jehová es testigo contra vosotros, y su ungido también es testigo en este día, que no habéis hallado tras mí cosa ninguna. Y ellos respondieron: Así es.

And he saide vnto them, The Lord is witnesse against you, and his Anointed is witnesse this day, that yee haue founde nought in mine handes. And they answered, He is witnesse.

6 Entonces Samuel dijo al pueblo: Jehová, que hizo a Moisés y a Aarón, y que sacó a vuestros padres de la tierra de Egipto.

Then Samuel sayde vnto the people, It is the Lord that made Moses and Aaron, and that brought your fathers out of the land of Egypt.

7 Ahora pues estád, y yo os pondré demanda delante de Jehová, de todas las justicias de Jehová que ha hecho con vosotros, y con vuestros padres.

Nowe therefore stand still, that I may reason with you before the Lord according to all the righteousnesse of the Lord, which he shewed to you and to your fathers.

8 Como Jacob hubo entrado en Egipto, y que vuestros padres clamaron a Jehová, Jehová envió a Moisés, y a Aarón, los cuales sacaron a vuestros padres de Egipto, y los hicieron habitar en este lugar.

After that Iaakob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried vnto the Lord, then the Lord sent Moses and Aaron which brought your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place.

9 Y olvidaron a Jehová su Dios, y él los vendió en la mano de Sísera capitán del ejército de Asor, y en la mano de los Filisteos, y en la mano del rey de Moab, los cuales les hicieron guerra.

And when they forgate the Lord their God, he solde them into the hand of Sisera captaine of the hoste of Hazor, and into the hand of the Philistims, and into the hande of the king of Moab, and they fought against them.

10 Y ellos clamaron a Jehová, y dijeron: Pecamos, porque hemos dejado a Jehová, y habemos servido a los Baales, y a Astarot: líbranos pues ahora de la mano de nuestros enemigos, y nosotros te serviremos.

And they cried vnto the Lord, and saide, We haue sinned, because we haue forsaken the Lord, and haue serued Baalim and Ashtaroth. Nowe therefore deliuer vs out of the handes of our enemies, and we will serue thee.

11 Entonces Jehová envió a Jeru-baal, y a Badán, y a Jefté, y a Samuel, y os libró de mano de vuestros enemigos al derredor; y habitasteis seguros.

Therefore the Lord sent Ierubbaal and Bedan and Iphtaph, and Samuel, and deliuered you out of the handes of your enemies on euery side, and yee dwelled safe.

12 Y como visteis que Naas rey de los hijos de Ammón venía contra vosotros, me dijisteis: No, sino rey reinará sobre nosotros; siendo vuestro rey Jehová vuestro Dios.

Notwithstanding when you sawe, that Nahash the King of the children of Ammon came against you, ye sayde vnto me, No, but a King shall reigne ouer vs: when yet the Lord your God was your King.

13 Ahora, pues, veis aquí vuestro rey, que elegisteis, que pedisteis; veis aquí que Jehová ha puesto sobre vosotros rey.

Nowe therefore beholde the King whome yee haue chosen, and whome yee haue desired: loe therefore, the Lord hath set a King ouer you.

14 Pues si temiereis a Jehová, y le serviereis, y oyereis su voz, y no fuereis rebeldes a la palabra de Jehová, así vosotros como el rey que reina sobre vosotros, seréis tras Jehová vuestro Dios.

If ye wil feare the Lord and serue him, and heare his voyce, and not disobey the worde of the Lord, both yee, and the King that reigneth ouer you, shall follow the Lord your God.

15 Mas si no oyereis la voz de Jehová, y si fuereis rebeldes a la palabra de Jehová, la mano de Jehová será contra vosotros como contra vuestros padres.

But if yee will not obey the voyce of the Lord, but disobey the Lordes mouth, then shall the hand of the Lord be vpon you, and on your fathers.

16 Y también ahora estád, y mirád esta gran cosa, que Jehová hará delante de vuestros ojos.

Nowe also stande and see this great thing which the Lord will doe before your eyes.

17 ¿No es ahora la siega de los trigos? Yo clamaré a Jehová, y él dará truenos y aguas, para que conozcáis y veais, que es grande vuestra maldad, que habéis hecho en los ojos de Jehová, pidiéndoos rey.

Is it not nowe wheat haruest? I wil call vnto the Lord, and he shall send thunder and raine, that yee may perceiue and see, howe that your wickednesse is great, which ye haue done in the sight of the Lord in asking you a King.

18 Y Samuel clamó a Jehová, y Jehová dio truenos y aguas en aquel día: y todo el pueblo temió en gran manera a Jehová y a Samuel.

Then Samuel called vnto the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and raine the same day: and all the people feared the Lord and Samuel exceedingly.

19 Y dijo todo el pueblo a Samuel: Ruega por tus siervos a Jehová tu Dios, que no muramos: porque a todos nuestros pecados hemos añadido este mal, de pedir rey para nosotros.

And all the people said vnto Samuel, Pray for thy seruaunts vnto the Lord thy God, that we die not: for we haue sinned in asking vs a King, beside all our other sinnes.

20 Y Samuel respondió al pueblo: No temáis. Vosotros habéis cometido todo este mal; mas con todo eso no os apartéis de en pos de Jehová, sino servíd a Jehová con todo vuestro corazón.

And Samuel said vnto the people, Feare not. (ye haue indeede done all this wickednesse, yet depart not from following the Lord, but serue the Lord with all your heart,

21 No os apartéis en pos de las vanidades, que no aprovechan, ni libran; porque son vanidades.

Neither turne yee backe: for that shoulde be after vaine things which cannot profite you, nor deliuer you, for they are but vanitie)

22 Que Jehová no desamparará a su pueblo por su grande nombre; porque Jehová ha querido haceros pueblo suyo.

For the Lord will not forsake his people for his great Names sake: because it hath pleased the Lord to make you his people.

23 Y lejos vaya también de mí, que peque contra Jehová, cesando de rogar por vosotros; antes os enseñaré por buen camino y derecho:

Moreouer God forbid, that I should sinne against the Lord, and cease praying for you, but I will shewe you the good and right way.

24 Solamente teméd a Jehová, y servídle de verdad con todo vuestro corazón: porque considerád cuán grandes cosas ha hecho con vosotros.

Therefore feare you the Lord, and serue him in the trueth with all your hearts, and consider howe great things he hath done for you.

25 Mas si perseverareis en hacer mal, vosotros y vuestro rey pereceréis.

But if ye doe wickedly, ye shall perish, both yee, and your King.
