1 Y oyendo la reina de Sabá la fama de Salomón en el nombre de Jehová, vino a tentarle con preguntas.
And the queen of Saba heard of the name of Solomon, and the name of the Lord, and she came to try him with riddles.
2 Y vino a Jerusalem con muy grande ejército, con camellos cargados de especierías, y oro en grande abundancia, y piedras preciosas: y como vino a Salomón propúsole todo lo que tenía su corazón.
And she came to Jerusalem with a very great train; and [there came] camels bearing spices, and very much gold, and precious stones: and she came in to Solomon, and told him all that was in her heart.
3 Y Salomón le declaró todas sus palabras: ninguna cosa se le escondió al rey que no le declarase.
And Solomon answered all her questions: and there was not a question overlooked by the king which he did not answer her.
4 Y como la reina de Sabá vio toda la sabiduría de Salomón, y la casa que había edificado,
And the queen of Saba saw all the wisdom of Solomon, and the house which he built,
5 Asimismo la comida de su mesa, el asiento de sus siervos, el estado y vestidos de los que le servían, sus maestresalas, y sus holocaustos que sacrificaba en la casa de Jehová, ella quedó fuera de sí.
and the provision of Solomon and the sitting of his attendants, and the standing of his servants, and his raiment, and his cup-bearers, and his whole-burnt-offering which he offered in the house of the Lord, and she was utterly amazed.
6 Y dijo al rey: Verdad es lo que oí en mi tierra de tus cosas, y de tu sabiduría,
And she said to king Solomon, [It was] a true report which I heard in my land of thy words and thy wisdom.
7 Mas yo no lo creía, hasta que he venido; y mis ojos han visto que ni aun la mitad era lo que me había sido dicho. Tu sabiduría y bien es mayor que la fama que yo había oído.
But I believed not them that told me, until I came and my eyes saw: and, behold, the words as they reported to me are not the half: thou hast exceeded in goodness all the report which I heard in my land.
8 Bienaventurados tus varones, bienaventurados estos tus siervos, que están continuamente delante de ti, y oyen tu sabiduría.
Blessed [are] thy wives, blessed [are] these thy servants who stand before thee continually, who hear all thy wisdom.
9 Jehová tu Dios sea bendito, que se ha agradado de ti, para ponerte en el trono de Israel; porque Jehová ha amado siempre a Israel: y te ha puesto por rey para que hagas derecho y justicia.
Blessed be the Lord thy God, who has taken pleasure in thee, to set thee upon the throne of Israel, because the Lord loved Israel to establish [him] for ever; and he has made thee king over them, to execute judgment with justice, and in their causes.
10 Y dio la reina al rey ciento y veinte talentos de oro, y muy mucha especiería, y piedras preciosas: nunca vino después tan grande multitud de especiería, como la reina de Sabá dio al rey Salomón.
And she gave to Solomon a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and very many spices, and precious stones: there had not come any other spices so abundant as those which the queen of Saba gave to king Solomon.
11 La flota de Hiram que había traído el oro de Ofir, traía también de Ofir muy mucha madera de almugim, y piedras preciosas.
And the ship of Chiram which brought the gold from Suphir, brought very much hewn timber and precious stones.
12 E hizo el rey de la madera de almugim sustentáculos para la casa de Jehová, y para las casas reales, y arpas y salterios para los cantores: nunca vino tanta madera de almugim, ni se ha visto hasta hoy.
And the king made the hewn timber [into] buttresses of the house of the Lord and the king's house, and lyres and harps for singers: such hewn timber had not come upon the earth, nor have been seen anywhere until this day.
13 Y el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Sabá todo lo que quiso, y todo lo que pidió; además de lo que Salomón le dio como de mano del rey Salomón. Y ella se volvió, y se vino a su tierra con sus criados.
And king Solomon gave to the queen of Saba all that she desired, whatsoever she asked, besides all that he had given her by the hand of king Solomon: and she returned, and came into her own land, she and her servants.
14 El peso del oro que Salomón tenía de renta cada un año, era seiscientos y sesenta y seis talentos de oro:
And the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold.
15 Sin lo de los mercaderes y de la contratación de las especierías; y de todos los reyes de Arabia, y de los príncipes de la tierra.
Besides the tributes of them that were subjects, both merchants and all the kings of the [country] beyond [the river], and of the princess of the land.
16 Hizo también el rey Salomón doscientos paveses de oro extendido: seiscientos ducados de oro gastó en cada pavés.
And Solomon made three hundred spears of beaten gold: three hundred shekels of gold were upon one spear.
17 Asimismo trescientos escudos de oro extendido: en cada un escudo gastó tres libras de oro, y púsolos el rey en la casa del bosque del Líbano.
And three hundred shields of beaten gold: and three pounds of gold were in one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.
18 Hizo también el rey un gran trono de marfil, el cual cubrió de oro purísimo.
And the king made a great ivory throne, and gilded it with pure gold.
19 Seis gradas tenía hasta el trono: lo alto del trono era redondo por las espaldas; de la una parte y de la otra tenía arrimadizos cerca del asiento, junto a los cuales estaban dos leones.
The throne [had] six steps, and calves in bold relief to the throne behind it, and side-pieces on either hand of the place of the seat, and two lions standing by the side-pieces,
20 Estaban también doce leones allí sobre las seis gradas de la una parte y de la otra; en todos los reinos no había hecho otro tal.
and twelve lions standing there on the six steps on either side: it was not so done in any [other] kingdom.
21 Y todos los vasos de beber del rey Salomón eran de oro, y asimismo toda la vajilla de la casa del bosque del Líbano, era de fino oro; no había plata: porque en tiempo de Salomón no era de estima.
And all the vessels made by Solomon [were] of gold, and the lavers [were] golden, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; there was no silver, for it was not accounted of in the days of Solomon.
22 Porque el rey tenía la flota de la mar en Társis con la flota de Hiram, una vez en cada tres años venía la flota de Társis, y traía oro, plata, marfil, simios, y pavos.
For Solomon had a ship of Tharsis in the sea with the ships of Chiram: one ship came to the king every three years out of Tharsis, [laden with] gold and silver, and wrought stones, and hewn stones.
23 Y excedía el rey Salomón a todos los reyes de la tierra, así en riquezas, como en sabiduría.
And Solomon increased beyond all the kings of the earth in wealth and wisdom.
24 Toda la tierra procuraba ver la cara de Salomón para oír su sabiduría, que Dios había puesto en su corazón.
And all the kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon, to hear his wisdom which the Lord [had] put into his heart.
25 Y cada uno le traía sus presentes, es a saber, vasos de oro, vasos de plata, vestidos, armas, especiería, caballos y acémilas: cada cosa de año en año.
And they brought every one their gifts, vessels of gold, and raiment, and stacte, and spices, and horses, and mules, a rate year by year.
26 Y juntó Salomón carros y gente de a caballo, y tenía mil y cuatrocientos carros, y doce mil caballeros, los cuales puso en las ciudades de los carros, y con el rey en Jerusalem.
And Solomon had four thousand mares for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen: and he put them in the cities of his chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem: and he ruled over all the kings from the river to the land of the Philistines, and to the borders of Egypt.
27 Y puso el rey en Jerusalem plata, como piedras: y cedros como los cabrahígos que están por los campos en abundancia.
And the king made gold and silver in Jerusalem as stones, and he made cedars as the sycamores in the plain for multitude.
28 Y sacaban caballos y lienzos a Salomón de Egipto: porque la compañía de los mercaderes del rey compraban caballos y lienzos.
And the goings forth of Solomon's horsemen [was] also out of Egypt, and the king's merchants [were] of Thecue; and they received them out of Thecue at a price.
29 Y venía, y salía de Egipto el carro por seiscientas piezas de plata, y el caballo por ciento y cincuenta: y así los sacaban por sus manos todos los reyes de los Jetteos, y de Siria.
And that which proceeded out of Egypt went up [thus, even] a chariot for a hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for fifty [shekels] of silver: and thus for all the kings of the Chettians, and the kings of Syria, they came out by sea.
