1 Juan 2
1 Hijitos míos, estas cosas os escribo, para que no pequéis; y si alguno hubiere pecado, un abogado tenemos para con el Padre, a Jesu Cristo el Justo:
My children, these things I write to you in order that ye may not sin; and if any one sin, we have a patron with the Father, Jesus Christ [the] righteous;
2 Y él es la propiciación por nuestros pecados; y no solamente por los nuestros, mas también por los de todo el mundo.
and he is the propitiation for our sins; but not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.
3 Y por esto sabemos que nosotros le hemos conocido, si guardamos sus mandamientos.
And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 El que dice: Yo le he conocido, y no guarda sus mandamientos, el tal es mentiroso, y no hay verdad en él.
He that says, I know him, and does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him;
5 Mas el que guarda su palabra, el amor de Dios es verdaderamente perfecto en él: por esto sabemos que estamos en él.
but whoever keeps his word, in him verily the love of God is perfected. Hereby we know that we are in him.
6 El que dice que está en él, debe andar como él anduvo.
He that says he abides in him ought, even as he walked, himself also [so] to walk.
7 Hermanos, no os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, sino el mandamiento antiguo, que habéis tenido desde el principio: el mandamiento antiguo es la palabra que habéis oído desde el principio.
Beloved, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment, which ye have had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye heard.
8 Otra vez os escribo un mandamiento nuevo, que es la verdad en él, y en vosotros; porque las tinieblas están pasando, y la verdadera luz ya alumbra.
Again, I write a new commandment to you, which thing is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light already shines.
9 El que dice que está en la luz, y aborrece a su hermano, el tal aun está en tinieblas todavía.
He who says he is in the light, and hates his brother, is in the darkness until now.
10 El que ama a su hermano, está en la luz, y no hay escándalo en él.
He that loves his brother abides in light, and there is no occasion of stumbling in him.
11 Empero el que aborrece a su hermano, está en tinieblas, y anda en tinieblas, y no sabe donde se va; porque las tinieblas le han cegado los ojos.
But he that hates his brother is in the darkness, and walks in the darkness, and knows not where he goes, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
12 Hijitos, os escribo que vuestros pecados os son perdonados por causa de su nombre.
I write to you, children, because [your] sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.
13 Padres, os escribo que habéis conocido a aquel que es desde el principio. Mancebos, os escribo que habéis vencido al maligno. Hijitos, os escribo que habéis conocido al Padre.
I write to you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked [one]. I write to you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
14 Padres, os he escrito que habéis conocido al que es desde el principio. Mancebos, yo os escribí que sois fuertes, y que la palabra de Dios mora en vosotros, y que habéis vencido al maligno.
I have written to you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is] from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and ye have overcome the wicked [one].
15 No améis al mundo, ni las cosas que están en el mundo. Si alguno ama al mundo, el amor del Padre no está en él.
Love not the world, nor the things in the world. If any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him;
16 Porque todo lo que hay en el mundo, que es concupiscencia de la carne, y concupiscencia de los ojos, y soberbia de la vida, no es del Padre, mas es del mundo.
because all that [is] in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17 Y el mundo se pasa, y su concupiscencia; mas el que hace la voluntad de Dios, permanece para siempre. (aiōn g165)
And the world is passing, and its lust, but he that does the will of God abides for eternity. (aiōn g165)
18 Hijitos, ya es la postrera hora; y como vosotros habéis oído que el anticristo ha de venir, así también al presente han comenzado a ser muchos anticristos, por lo cual sabemos que ya es la postrimera hora.
Little children, it is [the] last hour, and, according as ye have heard that antichrist comes, even now there have come many antichrists, whence we know that it is [the] last hour.
19 Ellos salieron de entre nosotros, mas no eran de nosotros; porque si fueran de nosotros, hubieran cierto permanecido con nosotros; empero esto es para que se manifestase que todos no son de nosotros.
They went out from among us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have surely remained with us, but that they might be made manifest that none are of us.
20 Mas vosotros tenéis la unción del Santo, y conocéis todas las cosas.
And ye have [the] unction from the holy [one], and ye know all things.
21 No os he escrito, como si ignoraseis la verdad, mas como a los que la conocéis, y que ninguna mentira es de la verdad.
I have not written to you because ye do not know the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
22 ¿Quién es mentiroso, sino el que niega que Jesús es el Cristo? éste es el anticristo, que niega al Padre, y al Hijo.
Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.
23 Cualquiera que niega al Hijo, este tal tampoco tiene al Padre. ( Empero ) cualquiera que confiesa al Hijo, tiene también al Padre.
Whoever denies the Son has not the Father either; he who confesses the Son has the Father also.
24 Pues lo que habéis oído desde el principio, sea permaneciente en vosotros; porque si lo que habéis oído desde el principio fuere permaneciente en vosotros, también vosotros permaneceréis en el Hijo, y en el Padre.
As for you let that which ye have heard from the beginning abide in you: if what ye have heard from the beginning abides in you, ye also shall abide in the Son and in the Father.
And this is the promise which he has promised us, life eternal. (aiōnios g166)
26 Estas cosas os he escrito tocante a los que os engañan.
These things have I written to you concerning those who lead you astray:
27 Empero la unción que vosotros habéis recibido de él, mora en vosotros; y no tenéis necesidad que ninguno os enseñe; mas como la unción misma os enseña de todas cosas, y es verdadera, y no es mentira, así como os ha enseñado, perseverád en él.
and yourselves, the unction which ye have received from him abides in you, and ye have not need that any one should teach you; but as the same unction teaches you as to all things, and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, ye shall abide in him.
28 Y ahora, hijitos, perseverád en él; para que cuando apareciere, tengamos confianza, y no seamos confundidos por él en su venida.
And now, children, abide in him, that if he be manifested we may have boldness, and not be put to shame from before him at his coming.
29 Si sabéis que él es justo, sabéd también que cualquiera que hace justicia, es nacido de él.
If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.
