1 Corintios 4

1 Así nos tenga el hombre, como a ministros de Cristo, y dispensadores de los misterios de Dios.

Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.

2 Empero se requiere en los dispensadores, que el hombre sea hallado fiel.

Moreover, it is required in stewards that a man be found faithful.

3 Yo en muy poco tengo el ser juzgado de vosotros, o de humano día; antes ni aun yo a mí mismo me juzgo.

But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment: yes, I judge not my own self.

4 Porque de nada tengo mala conciencia, empero no por eso soy justificado; mas el que me juzga es el Señor.

For I know nothing against myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.

5 Así que no juzguéis nada antes de tiempo, hasta que venga el Señor, el cual también sacará a luz las cosas ocultas de las tinieblas, y manifestará los intentos de los corazones; y entonces cada cual tendrá de Dios su premio.

Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord shall come, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise from God.

6 Esto empero, hermanos, he pasado por ejemplo a mí y a Apólos por amor de vosotros; para que en nosotros aprendáis a no pensar fuera de lo que está escrito, hinchándoos por causa de otro el uno contra el otro.

And these things, brethren, I have in a figure transferred to myself, and [to] Apollos, for your sakes; that ye may learn in us not to think [of men] above that which is written, that no one of you on account of one, may be puffed up against another.

7 Porque ¿quién hace que te diferencies de otro? ¿o qué tienes que no hayas recibido? y si también tú lo recibiste, ¿por qué te jactas como si no lo hubieras recibido?

For who maketh thee to differ [from another]? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive [it], why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received [it]?

8 Ya estáis hartos, ya estáis ricos; sin nosotros habéis reinado como reyes; y ojalá reinaseis, para que nosotros reinásemos también juntamente con vosotros.

Now ye are full, now ye are rich, ye have reigned as kings without us: and I wish ye did reign, that we also might reign with you.

9 Porque a lo que pienso, Dios nos ha puesto a nosotros, los apóstoles, por los postreros, como a sentenciados a muerte; porque somos hechos espectáculo al mundo, y a los ángeles, y a los hombres.

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle to the world, and to angels, and to men.

10 Nosotros somos insensatos por amor de Cristo, mas vosotros sois sabios en Cristo: nosotros flacos, y vosotros fuertes: vosotros nobles, y nosotros viles.

We [are] fools for Christ's sake, but ye [are] wise in Christ; we [are] weak, but ye [are] strong; ye [are] honorable, but we [are] despised.

11 Hasta esta hora hambreamos, y tenemos sed, y estamos desnudos, y somos heridos de pescozones, y andamos vagabundos,

Even to this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwelling-place;

12 Y trabajamos, obrando con nuestras propias manos: siendo maldecidos, bendecimos: padeciendo persecución, la sufrimos:

And labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it;

13 Siendo difamados, rogamos: somos hechos como la basura del mundo, como las inmundicias de todas las cosas, hasta ahora.

Being defamed, we entreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the offscouring of all things to this day.

14 No escribo esto para avergonzaros; mas os amonesto como a mis hijos amados.

I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn [you].

15 Porque aunque tengáis diez mil ayos en Cristo, sin embargo no tendréis muchos padres; porque en Cristo Jesús yo os engendré por el evangelio.

For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet [have ye] not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.

16 Por tanto os ruego que seáis imitadores de mí.

Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

17 Por lo cual os envié a Timoteo, que es mi hijo amado, y fiel en el Señor, el cual os recordará de mis caminos, cuales sean en Cristo, como yo enseño en todas partes, en todas las iglesias.

For this cause have I sent to you Timothy, who is my beloved son, and faithful in the Lord, who will bring you into remembrance of my ways which are in Christ, as I teach every where in every church.

18 Mas como si nunca hubiese yo de venir a vosotros, así están hinchados algunos.

Now some are puffed up, as though I would not come to you.

19 Empero vendré presto a vosotros, si el Señor quisiere; y entenderé no las palabras de estos que así están hinchados, sino el poder.

But I will come to you shortly, if the Lord will, and will know, not the speech of them who are puffed up, but the power.

20 Porque el reino de Dios no consiste en palabras, sino en poder.

For the kingdom of God [is] not in word, but in power.

21 ¿Qué queréis? ¿He de venir a vosotros con vara, o en amor, y en espíritu de mansedumbre?

What will ye? shall I come to you with a rod, or in love, and [in] the spirit of meekness?
