1 Corintios 13
1 Si yo hablase en lenguas de hombres y de ángeles, y no tuviese caridad, soy hecho como metal que resuena, o platillo que retiñe.
If in the tongues of men I shall speak and of angels, love however not may have, I have become a brass sounding or a cymbal clanging.
2 Y si tuviese el don de profecía, y entendiese todos los misterios, y toda ciencia; y si tuviese toda la fe, de manera que pudiese traspasar las montañas, y no tuviera caridad, nada soy.
And if I shall have prophecy and understand the mysteries all and all the knowledge, And if I shall have all the faith so as mountains to remove, love however not may have, no [thing] I am.
3 Y si repartiese toda mi hacienda para dar de comer a pobres; y si entregase mi cuerpo para ser quemado, y no tuviere caridad, de nada me sirve.
Even if Even if I shall give away all the possessions of mine, And if I shall deliver up the body of mine that (I may boast, *N(K)(o)*) love however not may have, no [thing] I am profited.
4 La caridad es sufrida, es benigna: la caridad no tiene envidia: la caridad no es jactanciosa, no es hinchada,
Love is patient, is kind, love not is envious, love not is boastful, not is puffed up,
5 No se comporta indecorosamente, no busca lo que es suyo, no se irrita, no piensa mal,
not acts unbecomingly, not seeks the [things] of its own, not is easily provoked, not it keeps account of wrongs,
6 No se huelga en la injusticia, mas huélgase en la verdad:
not delights at unrighteousness, rejoices however in the truth,
7 Todo lo sufre, todo lo cree, todo lo espera, todo lo soporta.
All things it bears, all things believes, all things hopes, all things endures.
8 La caridad nunca se acaba: aunque las profecías se han de acabar, y cesar las lenguas, y desaparecer la ciencia.
Love never (falls. *N(k)O*) if however [there are] prophesies, they will be abated; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge it will be abated.
9 Porque en parte conocemos, y en parte profetizamos.
In part (for *NK(o)*) we know and in part we prophesy;
10 Mas después que venga lo que es lo perfecto, entonces lo que es en parte será abolido.
when however may come the perfect, (then *K*) the in part will be done away.
11 Cuando yo era niño, hablaba como niño, pensaba como niño, sabía como niño; mas cuando ya fui hombre hecho, puse a un lado las cosas de niño.
When I was a child, I was speaking like a child, I was thinking like a child, I was reasoning like a child; when (now *k*) I became a man, I have done away with the [things] of the child.
12 Porque ahora vemos por espejo oscuramente; mas entonces, cara a cara. Ahora conozco en parte; mas entonces conoceré como soy conocido.
We see for presently through a glass in obscurity, then however face to face; presently I know in part, then however I will know fully even as also I have been fully known.
13 Y ahora permanece la fe, la esperanza, y la caridad, estas tres; empero la mayor de ellas es la caridad.
Now however abide faith, hope, love, three these; [the] greatest however of these [is] love.
