1 Corintios 10

1 Mas no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis, que nuestros Padres todos estuvieron debajo de la nube, y todos pasaron por la mar;

For I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;

2 Y todos en Moisés fueron bautizados en la nube y en la mar;

and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;

3 Y todos comieron la misma vianda espiritual;

and they all did eat the same spiritual food;

4 Y todos bebieron la misma bebida espiritual; porque bebían de la Roca espiritual que los seguía, la cual Roca era Cristo:

and all did drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.

5 Mas de muchos de ellos no se agradó Dios; porque fueron derribados en el desierto.

But with many of them God is not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

6 Empero estas cosas fueron tipos para nosotros; a fin de que no codiciemos cosas malas, como ellos codiciaron:

And these became our examples, in order that we may not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

7 Ni seáis adoradores de ídolos como eran algunos de ellos, como está escrito: Sentose el pueblo a comer y a beber, y se levantaron a jugar:

Neither be ye idolaters, as some of them were; as has been written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and arose up to play.

8 Ni forniquemos, como algunos de ellos fornicaron, y cayeron en un día veinte y tres mil:

Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed fornication, and fell in one day twenty-three thousand.

9 Ni tentemos a Cristo, como algunos de ellos le tentaron, y perecieron por las serpientes:

Neither let us tempt the Lord, as some of them tempted Him, and were destroyed by serpents.

10 Ni murmuréis, como algunos de ellos murmuraron, y perecieron por el destruidor.

Neither murmur, as some of them murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.

11 Mas todas estas cosas les acontecieron por tipos, y son escritas para nuestra amonestación, sobre quien los fines de los siglos han llegado. (aiōn g165)

But these things happened unto them as examples; and were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have descended. (aiōn g165)

12 Así que el que se piensa estar firme, mire no caiga.

So let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he may fall.

13 No os ha tomado alguna tentación, fuera de las que son comunes a los hombres; mas fiel es Dios, que no os dejará ser tentados más de lo que podéis; antes dará también salida con la tentación, para que la podáis llevar.

No temptation has overtaken you, except that which is human: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but with the temptation, He will also make a way of escape, in order that you may be able to bear it.

14 Por lo cual, amados míos, huid de la idolatría.

Therefore, my beloved, fly from idolatry.

15 Como a sabios hablo, juzgád vosotros lo que digo.

As I speak to the wise; judge ye what I say.

16 La copa de bendición la cual bendecimos, ¿no es la comunión de la sangre de Cristo? el pan que rompemos, ¿no es la comunión del cuerpo de Cristo?

The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

17 Porque siendo muchos, somos un solo pan, y un solo cuerpo; porque todos participamos de aquel mismo pan.

Because we, being many, are one bread, one body: for we all partake of one bread.

18 Mirád a Israel según la carne. Los que comen los sacrificios, ¿no son participantes del altar?

See Israel after the flesh: are not all eating the sacrifices communicants of the altar?

19 ¿Pues qué digo? ¿Qué el ídolo es algo? ¿o que lo que es sacrificado a los ídolos es algo?

Then what do I say? that idolatry is anything? or that an idol is anything?

20 Antes, digo que lo que los Gentiles sacrifican, a los demonios lo sacrifican, y no a Dios; y no querría que vosotros fueseis partícipes con los demonios.

But those things which they sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. But I do not wish you to be the communicants of demons.

21 No podéis beber la copa del Señor, y la copa de los demonios: no podéis ser partícipes de la mesa del Señor, y de la mesa de los demonios.

You are not able to drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: you are not able to partake of the table of the Lord, and the table of demons.

22 ¿Provocamos a zelos al Señor? ¿Somos acaso más fuertes que él?

Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? whether are we stronger than he?

23 Todo me es lícito, mas no todo me conviene: todo me es lícito, mas no todo edifica.

All things are lawful; but all things are not profitable. All things are lawful; but all things do not edify.

24 Ninguno busque lo que es suyo propio; mas cada uno lo que es del otro.

Let no one seek his own, but that of another.

25 De todo lo que se vende en la carnicería, coméd sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia.

Eat everything which is sold in market, asking no questions on account of conscience;

26 Porque del Señor es la tierra, y la plenitud de ella.

for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness of the same.

27 Si alguno de los que no creen os convida, y queréis ir, de todo lo que se os pone delante, coméd, sin preguntar nada por causa de la conciencia.

If any one of the unbelievers invite you, and you wish to go; eat everything which is placed before you, asking no questions on account of conscience.

28 Mas si alguien os dijere: Esto fue sacrificado a los ídolos: no lo comáis por causa de aquel que os lo declaró, y por causa de la conciencia; porque del Señor es la tierra, y la plenitud de ella.

But if any one may say to you; This is offered to an idol, eat not, on account of him who gave the information, and his conscience.

29 Conciencia digo, no la tuya, sino la del otro. ¿Pues por qué ha de ser juzgada mi libertad por conciencia de otro?

But I say the conscience not of himself, but of the other one. For why is my liberty judged by the conscience of another?

30 Y si yo por gracia participo, ¿por qué se ha de hablar mal de mí por lo que doy gracias?

If I partake with grace, why am I traduced for that over which I give thanks?

31 Si pues coméis, o si bebéis, o hacéis otra cosa, hacédlo todo a gloria de Dios.

Then whether you eat, or whether you drink, or what you do, do all things to the glory of God.

32 Sed sin ofensa a Judíos, y a Griegos, y a la iglesia de Dios:

Be ye without offence, both to Jews, and to Greeks, and to the church of God:

33 Como también yo en todas las cosas agrado a todos: no buscando mi mismo provecho, sino el de muchos, para que ellos sean salvos.

as I also please all in all things, seeking not my own profit, but that of the many, that they may be saved.
