1 Crónicas 4

1 Los hijos de Judá fueron Fares, Jesrón, Carmi, Jur, y Sobal.

the sons of Judah, Perez, Hezron, and Carmi, and Hur, and Shobal.

2 Y Raias, hijo de Sobal, engendró a Jahat; y Jahat engendró a Ahumai, y a Laad. Estas son las familias de los Saratitas.

And, Reaiah son of Shobal, begat Jahath, and, Jahath, begat Ahumai, and Lahad. These, are the families of the Zorathites.

3 Y estas son las del padre de Etam; Jezrael, Jesema, y Jedebos. Y el nombre de su hermana fue Asalefuni.

And, these, were the sons of Etam, Jezreel and Ishma, and Idbash, —and, the name of their sister, was Hazzelelponi;

4 Y Fanuel fue padre de Gedor; y Ezer padre de Hosa. Estos fueron los hijos de Jur primogénito de Efrata padre de Belén.

and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer, the father of Hushah. These, are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

5 Y Assur padre de Tecua tuvo dos mujeres, es a saber, Halaa, y Naraa.

And, Ashhur the father of Tekoa, had two wives, —Helah, and Naarah.

6 Y Naraa le parió a Oozán, Hefer, Temani, y Ahastari. Estos fueron los hijos de Naara.

And Naarah bare him Ahuzzam and Hepher, and Temeni, and Haahashtari. These, were the sons of Naarah.

7 Y los hijos de Halaa fueron Seret, Sahar, y Etnán.

And, the sons of Helah, were Zereth, Izhar, and Ethnan.

8 Ítem, Cos engendró a Anob y a Soboba, y la familia de Aharehel, hijo de Arum.

And, Koz, begat Anub, and Zobebah, —and the families of Aharhel, the son of Harum.

9 Y Jabes fue más ilustre que sus hermanos, al cual su madre llamó Jabes, diciendo: Por cuanto yo le parí en dolor.

Now it came to pass that Jabez was more honourable than his brethren, —but, his mother, had called his name Jabez, ["he causes pain"] saying, Because I bare him with pain.

10 E invocó Jabes al Dios de Israel, diciendo: Si me dieres bendición, y ensanchares mi término, y si tu mano fuere conmigo, y me librares de mal, que no me duela. E hizo Dios que le viniese lo que pidió.

So then Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldst, indeed bless, me, and enlarge my boundary, and that thy hand might be with me, —and that thou wouldst work [to deliver me] from evil, that it be not my pain. And God brought about that which he asked.

11 Y Caleb hermano de Sua, engendró a Maquir, el cual fue padre de Estón.

And, Chelub the brother of Shuhah, begat Mehir, the same, was the father of Eshton.

12 Y Estón engendró a Bet-rafa, a Fese, y a Tehinna, padre de la ciudad de Naas: estos son los varones de Reca.

And, Eshton, begat Beth-rapha, and Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Ir-nahash. These, are the men of Recah.

13 Los hijos de Cenes fueron Otoniel, y Saraías. Los hijos de Otoniel, Hatat,

And, the sons of Kenaz, were Othniel, and Seraiah, —and, the sons of Othniel, Hathath.

14 Y Maonati, el cual engendró a Ofra: y Saraías engendró a Joab, padre de Genarassim, porque fueron artífices.

And, Meonothai, begat Ophrah, —and, Seraiah, begat Joab, the father of Ge-harashim, for they were, craftsmen.

15 Los hijos de Caleb, hijo de Jefone, fueron Hir, Ela, y Naham: e hijo de Ela fue Cenez.

And, the sons of Caleb son of Jephunneh, were Iru, Elah, and Naam, —and the sons of Elah and Kenaz.

16 Los hijos de Jalaleel fueron Zif, Zifas, Tirias y Asrael.

And, the sons of Jehallelel, Ziph and Ziphah, Tiria, and Asarel.

17 Y los hijos de Ezra fueron Jeter, Mered, Efer, y Jalon; también engendró a María, y a Sammaí, y a Jesba padre de Estamo.

And, the sons of Ezrah, Jether and Mered, and Epher and Jalon. And, these, are the sons of Bithia, daughter of Pharaoh, whom Mered took, —and she conceived and bare Miriam and Shammai, and Ishbah, the father of Eshtemoa.

18 Y su mujer Judaia le parió a Jared padre de Gedor, y a Jeber padre de Soco, y a Jecutiel padre de Zaneo. Estos fueron los hijos de Betia, hija de Faraón, con la cual casó Mered.

And, his wife, the Jewess, bare Jered the father of Gedor, and Heber the father of Soco, and Jekuthiel, the father of Zanoah.

19 Y los hijos de la mujer de Odías, hermana de Natán, padre de Ceila, fueron Garmi, Estamo el de Macati.

And, the sons of the wife of Hodiah, the sister of Naham, were the father of Keilah, the Garmite, —and Eshtemoa, the Maacathite.

20 Ítem, los hijos de Simón fueron Amnón y Rinna, hijo de Hanán, y Tilón. Y los hijos de Jesi fueron Zohet y Ben-zohet.

And, the sons of Shimon, Amnon, and Rinnah, Ben-hanan and Tilon. And, the sons of Ishi, Zoheth, and Ben-zoheth.

21 Los hijos de Sela, hijo de Judá, fueron Er, padre de Leca, y Laada padre de Maresa, y de la familia de la casa del oficio del lino en la casa de Asbea.

the sons of Shelah, the son of Judah, Er, the father of Lecah, and Laadah, the father of Mareshah, —and the families of the house of them that wrought fine linen, of the house of Ashbea;

22 Y Joacim, y los varones de Cozeba, y Joas, y Sarof, los cuales dominaron en Moab, y Jasubi-la-hem, que son palabras antiguas,

and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph who ruled for Moab, and Jashubi-lehem, —but, the records, are ancient.

23 Estos fueron olleros, y moradores de sembrados, y de cercados, los cuales moraron allá con el rey en su obra.

They, were the potters and the inhabitants of Netaim, and Gederah, —with the king in his work, dwelt they there.

24 Los hijos de Simeón fueron Namuel, Jamín, Jarib, Zara, Saul.

The sons of Simeon, Nemuel, and Jamin, Jarib, Zerah, Shaul:

25 También Sellum fue su hijo, Mabsán su hijo, y Masma su hijo.

Shallum his son, Mibsam his son, Mishma his son.

26 Los hijos de Masma fueron Hamuel su hijo, Zacur su hijo, y Semeí su hijo.

And, the sons of Mishma, Hammuel his son, Zaccur his son, Shimei his son.

27 Los hijos de Semeí fueron diez y seis, y seis hijas; mas sus hermanos no tuvieron muchos hijos, ni multiplicaron toda su familia, como los hijos de Judá.

And, Shimei, had sixteen sons, and six daughters, but, his brethren, had not many children, —nor did, any of their family, multiply so much as the sons of Judah.

28 Y habitaron en Beer-seba, y en Molada, y en Hasar-subal,

And they dwelt in Beer-sheba, and Moladah, and Hazar-shual;

29 Y en Bala, y en Hasón, y en Tolad,

and in Bilhah, and in Ezem, and in Tolad;

30 Y en Batuel, y en Jorma, y en Siceleg,

and in Bethuel, and in Hormah, and in Ziklag;

31 Y en Bet-marcabot, y en Hasarusim, y en Bet-berai, y en Saraim. Estas fueron sus ciudades hasta el reino de David.

and in Beth-marcaboth, and in Hazar-susim, and in Beth-biri, and in Shaaraim. These, were their cities unto the reign of David.

32 Y sus aldeas fueron Etam, Aén, Remmón, y Taocem, y Asán, cinco pueblos:

And, their villages, were Etam, and Ain, Rimmon, and Tochen, and Ashan, —five cities;

33 Y todos sus villajes que estaban al rededor de estas ciudades hasta Baal. Esta fue su habitación, y esta fue su descendencia.

and all their villages that were round about these cities, as far as Baal. These, were their habitations, and they had their own genealogical register.

34 Mosobab, y Jemlec, y Josías, hijo de Amasías,

And Meshobab, and Jamlech, and Joshah, the son of Amaziah;

35 Joel, y Jehú, hijo de Josabías, hijo de Saraías, hijo de Aziel,

and Joel, —and Jehu, the son of Joshibiah, the son of Seraiah, the son of Asiel:

36 Y Elioenai, Jacoba, Isuhaia, Asaías, Adiel, Ismiel, Banaías,

and Elioenai, and Jaakobah, and Jeshohaiah, and Asaiah, and Adiel, and Jesimiel, and Benaiah:

37 Y Ziza, hijo de Sefei, hijo de Allón, hijo de Idaías, hijo de Semrí, hijo de Samaías.

and Ziza, son of Shiphi, son of Allon, son of Jedaiah, son of Shimri, son of Shemaiah.

38 Estos por sus nombres son los principales que vinieron en sus familias, y que fueron multiplicados en multitud en las casas de sus padres.

These, introduced by their names, were leading men in their families. And, their ancestral house, brake forth exceedingly;

39 Y llegaron hasta la entrada de Gador hasta el oriente del valle, buscando pastos para sus ganados.

so they went to the entering in of Gerar, unto the east of the valley, —to seek pasture for their flocks;

40 Y hallaron gruesos y buenos pastos, y tierra ancha y espaciosa, y quieta y reposada, porque los hijos de Cam la habitaban de antes.

and they found pasture, fat and good, and, the land, was broad on both hands, and quiet, and secure, —for, of Ham, were the dwellers there aforetime.

41 Y estos, que han sido escritos por nombres, vinieron en días de Ezequías rey de Judá, e hirieron sus tiendas y estancias que hallaron allí, y destruyéronlos hasta hoy; y habitaron allí en lugar de ellos, por cuanto había allí pastos para sus ganados.

But these written by name came in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and smote their tents, and the Meunim who were found there, and devoted them, until this day, and dwelt in their stead, —for there was pasture for their flocks, there.

42 Y asimismo quinientos hombres de ellos de los hijos de Simeón se fueron al monte de Seir, llevando por capitanes a Paltías, y a Naarías, y a Rafaias, y a Oziel, hijos de Jesi;

And, some of them, of the sons of Simeon, went to Mount Seir, five hundred men, —with Pelatiah, and Neariah, and Rephaiah, and Uzziel, sons of Ishi, at their head;

43 E hirieron a los restos que habían quedado de Amalec, y habitaron allí hasta hoy.

and they smote the remainder that had escaped, of the Amalekites, —and dwelt there—[as they have] unto this day.
