1 Crónicas 29

1 Dijo más el rey David a toda la congregación: A Salomón mi hijo solo ha elegido Dios: él es muchacho y tierno, y la obra es grande: porque aquella casa no es para hombre, mas para Jehová Dios.

Then said David the king unto all the convocation, Solomon my son, the one, of whom God hath made choice, is young and tender, —and, the work, is great, seeing that, not for man, is the palace, but for Yahweh Elohim.

2 Yo empero con todas mis fuerzas he aparejado para la casa de mi Dios, oro para las cosas de oro, y plata para las cosas de plata, y metal para las de metal, e hierro para las de hierro, y madera para las de madera, y piedras oniquinas, y piedras preciosas, y piedras negras, y piedras de diversos colores, y todas piedras preciosas, y piedras de mármol en abundancia.

And, with all my might, have I made preparation for the house of my God, the gold for the gold, and the silver for the silver, and the bronze for the bronze, the iron for the iron, and the wood for the wood, —and beryl stones and settings, stones coloured and particoloured, and all manner of precious stones and stones of white marble, in abundance.

3 Y además de esto, por cuanto tengo mi contentamiento en la casa de mi Dios, yo tengo en mi tesoro particular oro y plata, el cual he dado para la casa de mi Dios, además de todas las cosas, que he aparejado para la casa del santuario.

And yet further, because of my delighting in the house of my God, having a treasure of mine own in gold and silver, I have given for the house of my God, above and beyond all that I have prepared for the holy house:

4 Tres mil talentos de oro, de oro de Ofir, y siete mil talentos de plata afinada, para cubrir las paredes de las casas.

three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, —and seven thousand talents of refined silver, for overlaying the walls of the recesses.

5 Y oro para las cosas de oro, y plata para las de plata, y para toda la obra de manos de los oficiales. ¿Y quién quiere hoy consagrar a Jehová?

Of gold for the gold, and of silver for the silver, and for all manner of work in the hand of artificers, —Who then is ready to offer willingly, by filling his hand to-day, unto Yahweh?

6 Entonces los príncipes de las familias, y los príncipes de las tribus de Israel, tribunos y centuriones, con los príncipes que tenían a cargo la obra del rey, ofrecieron de su voluntad,

Then offered they willingly—the ancestral rulers and the rulers of the tribes of Israel, and the rulers of thousands and hundreds, even to the rulers of the work of the king;

7 Y dieron para el servicio de la casa de Dios cinco mil talentos de oro, y diez mil sueldos: y diez mil talentos de plata, y diez y ocho mil talentos de metal, y cien mil talentos de hierro.

and gave for the service of the house of God, of gold, five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and, of silver, ten thousand talents, and, of bronze, eighteen thousand talents, —and, of iron, one hundred thousand talents.

8 Y dio cada uno las piedras preciosas con que se halló para el tesoro de la casa de Jehová, en mano de Jahiel Gersonita.

And, every one with whom were found precious stones, gave to the treasure of the house of Yahweh, —unto the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

9 Y el pueblo se holgó de que hubiesen contribuido de su voluntad; porque con entero corazón ofrecieron voluntariamente a Jehová.

So the people rejoiced because they willingly offered, for, with a perfect heart, offered they willingly unto Yahweh, —moreover also, David the king, rejoiced with great joy.

10 Asimismo el rey David se holgó mucho, y bendijo a Jehová delante de toda la congregación; y dijo David: Bendito seas tú, oh Jehová Dios de Israel nuestro padre, de siglo a siglo.

Therefore did David bless Yahweh in the eyes of all the convocation, —and David said, Blessed art thou, O Yahweh, the God of Israel our father, from age even unto age.

11 Tuya, oh Jehová, es la magnificencia, y la fuerza, y la gloria, la victoria, y el honor: porque todas las cosas que están en los cielos y en la tierra son tuyas. Tuyo, oh Jehová, es el reino, y la altura sobre todos los que son por cabezas.

Thine, O Yahweh, are Greatness, and Might, and Beauty, and Victory, and Majesty, nay! all in the heavens and in the earth, —thine, O Yahweh, is the kingdom, who art exalted above all, —as chief;

12 Las riquezas y la gloria están delante de ti, y tú señoreas a todos: y en tu mano está la potencia y la fortaleza: y en tu mano es la grandeza y la fuerza de todas las cosas.

and, riches and honour, are from before thee, and, thou, art ruling over all, and, in thy hand, are power and might, —and, in thy hand, it is, to give greatness and strength unto any.

13 Ahora pues Dios nuestro, nosotros te glorificamos, y loamos el nombre de tu grandeza.

Now, therefore, O our God, we are giving thanks unto thee, —and offering praise, unto thy beautiful Name.

14 Porque ¿quién soy yo, y quién es mi pueblo, para que pudiésemos ofrecer de nuestra voluntad cosas semejantes? Porque todo es tuyo, y de tu mano te lo damos.

And yet, who am, I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer willingly like this? for, from thee, is the whole, and, out of thine own hand, have we given unto thee;

15 Porque nosotros extranjeros y advenedizos somos delante de ti, como todos nuestros padres; y nuestros días son como sombra sobre la tierra, y no hay otra esperanza.

for, sojourners, are we before thee, and strangers, like all our fathers, —like a shadow, are our days upon the earth, and there is no hope.

16 Jehová Dios nuestro, toda esta abundancia que habemos aparejado para edificarte casa a tu santo nombre, de tu mano es, y todo es tuyo.

O Yahweh our God, all this abundance which we have prepared, to build thee a house for thy holy Name, out of thine own hand, it is, and, thine, is the whole.

17 Yo sé, oh Dios mío, que tú escudriñas los corazones, y que la rectitud te agrada: y yo con la rectitud de mi corazón, voluntariamente te he ofrecido todo esto: y ahora he visto con alegría que tu pueblo, que ahora se ha hallado aquí, te ha dado liberalmente.

But I know, O my God, that, thou, art proving the heart, and, with uprightness, wilt thou be pleased, —I, in the uprightness of my heart, have willingly offered all these things, now, therefore, thy people who are found here, have I seen with joy, offering willingly unto thee.

18 Jehová Dios de Abraham, de Isaac y de Israel, nuestros padres, conserva perpetuamente esta voluntad del corazón de tu pueblo, y encamina su corazón a ti.

O Yahweh, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, oh guard this age-abidingly, as the devised purpose of the heart of thy people, —and establish thou their heart, unto thyself.

19 Asimismo da a mi hijo Salomón corazón perfecto, para que guarde tus mandamientos, tus testimonios, y tus estatutos; y para que haga todas las cosas, y te edifique la casa para la cual yo he hecho el aparejo.

Also, unto Solomon my son, give thou an undivided heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, —to do the whole, and to build the palace for which I have prepared.

20 Después de esto David dijo a toda la congregación: Bendecíd ahora a Jehová vuestro Dios. Entonces toda la congregación bendijo a Jehová Dios de sus padres; e inclinándose adoraron delante de Jehová, y del rey.

Then said David, unto all the convocation, Bless, I beseech you, Yahweh your God. So all the convocation blessed Yahweh, the God of their fathers, and did bend their heads and bow themselves down unto Yahweh, and unto the king;

21 Y sacrificaron víctimas a Jehová, y ofrecieron a Jehová holocaustos el día siguiente, mil becerros, mil carneros, mil ovejas, con sus derramaduras, y muchos sacrificios por todo Israel.

and sacrificed unto Yahweh sacrifices, and caused to go up ascending-offerings unto Yahweh, on the morrow of that day, a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, a thousand young sheep, and the drink-offerings thereof, —and sacrifices in abundance, for all Israel.

22 Y comieron y bebieron delante de Jehová aquel día con gran gozo. Y dieron la segunda vez la investidura del reino a Salomón, hijo de David, y ungiéronle a Jehová por príncipe; y a Sadoc por sacerdote.

And so they did eat and drink before Yahweh on that day, with great joy, —and they, the second time, made Solomon son of David king, and anointed him unto Yahweh to be chief ruler, and Zadok to be priest.

23 Y Salomón se asentó en el trono de Jehová por rey en lugar de David su padre; y fue prosperado, y todo Israel le obedeció.

So Solomon took his seat upon the throne of Yahweh, as king, instead of David his father, and prospered, —and all Israel, hearkened unto him.

24 Y todos los príncipes y poderosos, y todos los hijos del rey David, dieron sus manos debajo del rey Salomón.

And, all the rulers, and the heroes, yea moreover all the sons of King David, gave a hand, under Solomon the king.

25 Y Jehová magnificó grandemente a Salomón en los ojos de todo Israel: y le dio gloria del reino, cual ningún rey la tuvo antes de él en Israel.

And Yahweh magnified Solomon, exceedingly, before the eyes of all Israel, —and gave unto him a royal majesty, that had not been on any king before him, over Israel.

26 Así reinó David, hijo de Isaí, sobre todo Israel.

Thus, David son of Jesse, reigned over all Israel;

27 Y el tiempo que reinó sobre Israel fue cuarenta años: en Hebrón reinó siete años, y treinta y tres años reinó en Jerusalem.

and, the days that he reigned over Israel, were forty years, —in Hebron reigned he seven years, and in Jerusalem, reigned he, thirty-three.

28 Y murió en buena vejez, harto de días, de riquezas, y de gloria: y reinó en su lugar Salomón su hijo.

And he died in a good old age, satisfied with days, riches and honour, —and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

29 Y los hechos del rey David, primeros y postreros, están escritos en el libro de las crónicas de Samuel vidente, y en las crónicas del profeta Natán, y en las crónicas de Gad vidente;

Now, the acts of David the king, first and last, behold them! written in the records of Samuel the seer, and in the records of Nathan the prophet, and in the records of Gad the seer:

30 Juntamente con todo su reino y su potencia, y con los tiempos que pasaron sobre él y sobre Israel, y sobre todos los reinos de las tierras.

with all his reign, and his might, —and the times which passed over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the lands.
