1 Crónicas 23
1 Siendo pues David ya viejo, y harto de días, hizo a Salomón su hijo rey sobre Israel.
And David being old and full of days, made Solomon his son king over Israel.
2 Y juntando a todos los principales de Israel, y a los sacerdotes y Levitas,
And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, and the priests and Levites.
3 Fueron contados los Levitas de treinta años y arriba; y fue el número de ellos por sus cabezas, contados uno a uno, treinta y ocho mil.
And the Levites were numbered from the age of thirty years, and upwards: and there were found of them thirty-eight thousand men.
4 De estos los veinte y cuatro mil, para dar priesa a la obra de la casa de Jehová; y gobernadores y jueces seis mil:
Of these twenty-four thousand were chosen, and distributed unto the ministry of the house of the Lord: and six thousand were the overseers and judges.
5 Ítem, porteros cuatro mil: y cuatro mil para alabar a Jehová con los instrumentos que yo he hecho para alabar.
Moreover four thousand were porters: and as many singers singing to the Lord with the instruments, which he had made to sing with.
6 Y repartiólos David en partes, los hijos de Leví, y de Gersón, y de Caat, y de Merari.
And David distributed them into courses by the families of the sons of Levi, to wit, of Gerson, and of Caath, and of Merari.
7 Los hijos de Gersón fueron Leedán, y Semeí.
The sons of Gerson were Leedan and Semei.
8 Los hijos de Leedán fueron Jahiel el primero, Zetán, y Joel, tres.
The sons of Leedan: the chief Jahiel, and Zethan, and Joel, three.
9 Los hijos de Semeí fueron Salomit, Hoziel, y Arán, ellos tres. Estos fueron los príncipes de las familias de Leedán.
The sons of Semei: Salomith, and Hosiel, and Aran, three: these were the heads of the families of Leedan.
10 Y los hijos de Semeí fueron Jehet, Ziva, Jaus, y Barias. Estos cuatro fueron los hijos de Semeí.
And the sons of Semei were Leheth, and Ziza, and Jaus, and Baria: these were the sons of Semei, four.
11 Jehet era el primero, Zina el segundo: mas Jaus y Barias no multiplicaron hijos, por lo cual fueron contados por una familia.
And Leheth was the first, Ziza the second: but Jaus and Baria had not many children, and therefore they were counted in one family, and in one house.
12 Los hijos de Caat fueron Amram, Isaar, Hebrón, y Oziel, ellos cuatro.
The sons of Caath were Amram, and Isaar, Hebron, and Oziel, four.
13 Los hijos de Amram fueron Aarón y Moisés: y Aarón fue apartado para ser santificado, santidad de santidades fue él y sus hijos para siempre, para que quemasen perfumes delante de Jehová, y le ministrasen, y bendijesen en su nombre para siempre.
The sons of Amram, Aaron, and Moses. And Aaron was separated to minister in the holy of holies, he and his sons for ever, and to burn incense before the Lord, according to his ceremonies, and to bless his name for ever.
14 Y los hijos de Moisés, varón de Dios, fueron llamados en la tribu de Leví.
The sons also of Moses, the man of God, were numbered in the tribe of Levi.
15 Los hijos de Moisés fueron Gersón y Eliezer.
The sons of Moses were Gersom and Eliezer:
16 Hijo de Gersón fue Subuel, el primero.
The sons of Gersom: Subuel the first.
17 E hijo de Eliezer fue Rohobia, el primero: y Eliezer no tuvo otros hijos. Mas los hijos de Rohobia fueron muchos.
And the sons of Eliezer were: Rohobia the first: and Eliezer had no more sons. But the sons of Rohobia were multiplied exceedingly.
18 Hijo de Isaar fue Salomit, el primero.
The sons of Isaar: Salomith the first.
19 Los hijos de Hebrón fueron; Jeriau el primero, Amarías el segundo, Jahaziel el tercero, Jecmaán el cuatro.
The sons of Hebron: Jeriau the first, Amarias the second, Jahaziel the third, Jecmaam the fourth.
20 Los hijos de Oziel fueron; Mica el primero, Jesía el segundo.
The sons of Oziel: Micha the first, Jesia the second.
21 Los hijos de Merari fueron; Moholi y Musi. Los hijos de Moholi; Eleazar, y Cis.
The sons of Merari: Moholi, and Musi. The sons of Moholi: Eleazar and Cia.
22 Y murió Eleazar sin hijos, mas tuvo hijas. Y los hijos de Cis sus hermanos las tomaron por mujeres.
And Eleazar died, and had no sons but daughters: and the sons of Cis their brethren took them.
23 Los hijos de Musi fueron; Moholi, Eder, y Jerimot, ellos tres.
The sons of Musi: Moholi, and Eder, and Jerimoth, three.
24 Estos son los hijos de Leví en las familias de sus padres, cabeceras de familias en sus cuentas, contados por sus nombres, por sus cabezas, los cuales hacían obra en el ministerio de la casa de Jehová, de veinte años y arriba.
These are the sons of Levi in their kindreds and families, princes by their courses, and the number of every head that did the works of the ministry of the house of the Lord from twenty years old and upward.
25 Porque David dijo: Jehová Dios de Israel ha dado reposo a su pueblo Israel, y habitó en Jerusalem para siempre:
For David said: The Lord the God of Israel hath given rest to his people, and a habitation in Jerusalem for ever.
26 Y también los Levitas no llevarán el tabernáculo, y todos sus vasos para su ministerio.
And it shall not be the office of the Levites to carry any more the tabernacle, and all the vessels for the service thereof.
27 Así que conforme a las postreras palabras de David, fue la cuenta de los hijos de Leví de veinte años y arriba:
So according to the last precepts of David, the sons of Levi are to be numbered from twenty years old and upward.
28 Y estaban debajo de la mano de los hijos de Aarón para ministrar en la casa de Jehová, en los patios, y en las cámaras, y en la purificación de toda cosa santificada, y en la obra del ministerio de la casa de Dios.
And they are to be under the hand of the sons of Aaron for the service of the house of the Lord, in the porches, and in the chambers, and in the place of purification, and in the sanctuary, and in all the works of the ministry of the temple of the Lord.
29 Asimismo para los panes de la proposición, para la flor de la harina, para el sacrificio, para las hojuelas sin levadura, para la fruta de sartén, y para lo tostado, y para toda medida y cuenta;
And the priests have the charge of the leaves of proposition, and of the sacrifice of fine flour, and of the unleavened cakes, and of the fryingpan, and of the roasting, and of every weight and measure.
30 Y para que asistiesen cada mañana, todos los días, a glorificar y alabar a Jehová, y asimismo a la tarde;
And the Levites are to stand in the morning to give thanks, and to sing praises to the Lord: and in like manner in the evening,
31 Y para ofrecer todos los holocaustos a Jehová los sábados, nuevas lunas, y solemnidades, por la cuenta y forma que tenían, continuamente delante de Jehová;
As well in the oblation of the holocausts of the Lord, as in the sabbaths and in the new moons, and the rest of the solemnities, according to the number and ceremonies prescribed for every thing, continually before the Lord.
32 Y para que tuviesen la guarda del tabernáculo del testimonio, y la guarda del santuario, y la guarda de los hijos de Aarón sus hermanos, en el ministerio de la casa de Jehová.
And let them keep the observances of the tabernacle of the covenant, and the ceremonies of the sanctuary, and the charge of the sons of Aaron their brethren, that they may minister in the house of the Lord.
