1 Crónicas 15

1 Hizo también casas para sí en la ciudad de David, y labró un lugar para el arca de Dios, y tendióle una tienda.

And he makes houses for himself in the City of David, and prepares a place for the Ark of God, and stretches out a tent for it.

2 Entonces dijo David: El arca de Dios no debe ser traída sino por los Levitas, porque a ellos ha elegido Jehová para que lleven el arca de Jehová y le sirvan perpetuamente.

Then David said, “None [are] to carry the Ark of God, except the Levites, for YHWH has fixed on them to carry the Ark of God and to serve Him for all time.”

3 Y juntó David a todo Israel en Jerusalem, para que pasasen el arca de Jehová a su lugar, que él le había aparejado.

And David assembles all Israel to Jerusalem, to bring up the Ark of YHWH to its place that he had prepared for it.

4 Juntó también David a los hijos de Aarón, y a los Levitas:

And David gathers the sons of Aaron and the Levites—

5 De los hijos de Caat; Uriel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y veinte:

of sons of Kohath: Uriel the chief and one hundred and twenty of his brothers;

6 De los hijos de Merari; Asaías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos y veinte:

of sons of Merari: Asaiah the chief and two hundred and twenty of his brothers;

7 De los hijos de Gersón; Joel el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y treinta:

of sons of Gershom: Joel the chief and one hundred and thirty of his brothers;

8 De los hijos de Elisafán; Semeías el principal, y sus hermanos, doscientos:

of sons of Elizaphan: Shemaiah the chief and two hundred of his brothers;

9 De los hijos de Hebrón; Eliel el principal, y sus hermanos, ochenta:

of sons of Hebron: Eliel the chief and eighty of his brothers;

10 De los hijos de Oziel; Aminadab el principal, y sus hermanos, ciento y doce.

of sons of Uzziel: Amminadab the chief and one hundred and twelve of his brothers.

11 Y llamó también David a Sadoc, y a Abiatar sacerdotes, y a los Levitas, Uriel, Asaías, Joel, Semeías, Eliel, y Aminadab,

And David calls to Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, and to the Levites, to Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,

12 Y díjoles: Vosotros que sois los príncipes de padres entre los Levitas, santificáos a vosotros, y a vuestros hermanos, y pasád el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel al lugar que le he aparejado.

and says to them, “You [are] heads of the fathers of the Levites; sanctify yourselves, you and your brothers, and you have brought up the Ark of YHWH, God of Israel, to [the place] I have prepared for it;

13 Porque por no haberlo hecho así vosotros la primera vez, Jehová nuestro Dios hizo en nosotros rotura; por cuanto no le buscamos según la ordenanza.

because you [did] not [do it] at the first, our God YHWH made a breach on us, because we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”

14 Así los sacerdotes y los Levitas se santificaron para traer el arca de Jehová Dios de Israel.

And the priests and the Levites sanctify themselves to bring up the Ark of YHWH, God of Israel;

15 Y los hijos de los Levitas trajeron el arca de Dios, como lo había mandado Moisés, conforme a la palabra de Jehová, puesta sobre sus hombros las barras.

and sons of the Levites carry the Ark of God, as Moses commanded, according to the word of YHWH, above them with poles on their shoulder.

16 Asimismo dijo David a los principales de los Levitas, que constituyesen de sus hermanos cantores, con instrumentos de música, con salterios, y arpas, y címbalos, que resonasen, y alzasen la voz en alegría.

And David says to the heads of the Levites to appoint their brothers the singers, with instruments of song, psalteries, and harps, and cymbals, sounding, to lift up with the voice for joy.

17 Y los Levitas constituyeron a Hemán, hijo de Joel; y de sus hermanos, a Asaf, hijo de Baraquías; y de los hijos de Merari, y de sus hermanos, a Etán, hijo de Casaias:

And the Levites appoint Heman son of Joel, and of his brothers, Asaph son of Berechiah, and of the sons of Merari their brothers, Ethan son of Kushaiah;

18 Y con ellos a sus hermanos de la segunda orden, a Zacarías, Ben, y Jaziel: Semiramot, Jahiel, Ani, Eliab, Banaías, Maasias, y Matatías, Elifalu, Macenías, Obed-edom y Jehiel, los porteros.

and with them their brothers, the seconds [in rank]: Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah; and Obed-Edom and Jeiel the gatekeepers;

19 Ítem, Emán, Asaf, y Etán eran cantores, los cuales alzaban su voz con címbalos de metal.

and the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, [are] to sound with cymbals of bronze;

20 Y Zacarías, Oziel, Semiramot, Jahiel, Ani, Eliab, Maasias, y Banaías, con salterios sobre Alamot.

and Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jeheil, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries over the girls’ [voices],

21 Ítem, Matatías, Elifalu, Macenías, Obed-edom, Jehiel, y Ozazías cantaban con arpas en la octava sobrepujando.

and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed-Edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, to oversee with harps on the eighth.

22 Y Conenías, príncipe de los Levitas, en la profecía, porque él presidía en la profecía, por cuanto era entendido.

And Chenaniah, head of the Levites, [is] over the burden; he instructs about the burden, for he [is] intelligent.

23 Y Baraquías y Elcana eran los porteros del arca.

And Berechiah and Elkanah [are] gatekeepers for the Ark.

24 Ítem, Sebenías, Josafat, Natanael, Amasai, Zacarías, Banaías, y Eliezer, sacerdotes, tocaban las trompetas delante del arca de Dios: y Obed-edom, y Jahias eran porteros del arca.

And Shebaniah, and Joshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer the priests, are blowing with trumpets before the Ark of God; and Obed-Edom and Jehiah [are] gatekeepers for the Ark.

25 Y David, y los ancianos de Israel, y los capitanes de los millares fueron a traer el arca del concierto de Jehová de casa de Obed-edom con alegrías.

And it is David, and [the] elderly of Israel, and the heads of the thousands, who are going to bring up the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH from the house of Obed-Edom with joy;

26 Y ayudando Dios a los Levitas que llevaban el arca del concierto de Jehová, sacrificaban siete novillos y siete carneros.

and it comes to pass, in God’s helping the Levites carrying the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH, that they sacrifice seven bullocks and seven rams.

27 Y David iba vestido de lino fino, y también todos los Levitas que llevaban el arca, y asimismo los cantores: y Conenías era príncipe de la profecía de los cantores. Y David llevaba sobre sí un efod de lino.

And David is wrapped in an upper robe of fine linen, and all the Levites who are carrying the Ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah head of the burden of the singers; and an Ephod of linen [is] on David.

28 De esta manera todo Israel llevaban el arca del concierto de Jehová con júbilo, y sonido de bocinas, y de trompetas, y de címbalos, y salterios, y arpas, haciendo sonido.

And all of Israel is bringing up the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH with shouting, and with the sound of a horn, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, sounding with psalteries and harps,

29 Y como el arca del concierto de Jehová llegó a la ciudad de David, Micol, hija de Saul, mirando por una ventana vio al rey David que saltaba y bailaba, y menosprecióle en su corazón.

and it comes to pass, the Ark of the Covenant of YHWH is entering into the City of David, and Michal daughter of Saul is looking through the window, and sees King David dancing and playing, and despises him in her heart.
