Sofonías 3
1 ¡Ay de la ciudad rebelde, contaminada y opresora!
Wo! thou citee, terrere to wraththe, and bouyt ayen a culuer.
2 No escucha la voz ni recibe la corrección, no confía en Yavé ni se acerca a su ʼElohim.
It herde not the vois of the Lord, and resseyuede not techyng, ether chastisyng; it tristenyde not in the Lord, it neiyide not to her God.
3 Sus magistrados son leones rugientes en medio de ella, sus jueces, lobos nocturnos, que no dejan hueso para la mañana.
Princes therof in myddil therof weren as liouns rorynge; iugis therof weren wolues, in the euentid thei leften not in to morewe.
4 Sus profetas son insolentes, hombres desleales. Sus sacerdotes profanaron el Santuario y violaron la Ley.
Profetis therof weren woode, vnfeithful men; prestis therof defouliden hooli thing, thei diden vniustli ayens the lawe.
5 Yavé es justo en medio de ella, no hará injusticia. Cada mañana saca a luz su justicia, nunca falla. Pero el injusto no conoce la vergüenza.
The Lord iust in the myddil therof, schal not do wickidnesse; erli, erli he schal yyue his dom in liyt, and it schal not be hid; forsothe the wickid puple knew not confusioun.
6 Yo destruí naciones, sus torreones están en ruinas. Dejé desiertas sus calles hasta no quedar quien pase. Sus ciudades están devastadas, sin hombre, sin habitante.
Y loste folkis, and the corneris of hem ben distried; Y made the weies of hem desert, while there is not that schal passe. The citees of hem ben desolat, for a man is not left, nether ony dwellere.
7 Dije: Ciertamente me temerá, aceptará corrección y no será destruida su vivienda, a pesar de todo lo que determiné con respecto a ella. Pero ellos anhelaban pervertir todas sus obras.
Y seide, Netheles thou schalt drede me, thou schalt resseyue techyng; and the dwellyng place therof schal not perische, for alle thingis in whiche Y visitide it; netheles ful eerli thei risynge han corrupt alle her thouytis.
8 Por tanto, dice Yavé, espérenme hasta el día cuando Yo me levante para juzgarlos, pues mi decisión es reunir las naciones y congregar los reinos, para derramar sobre ellos mi furor, todo el ardor de mi ira, porque toda la tierra será devorada con el fuego de mi celo.
Wherfor abide thou me, seith the Lord, in the dai of my rysyng ayen in to comynge. For my doom is, that Y gadere folkis, and Y schal gadere rewmes; and Y schal schede out on hem myn indignacioun, and al wraththe of my strong veniaunce; for in fier of my feruour al erthe schal be deuourid.
9 En aquel tiempo devolveré pureza de labios a los pueblos, para que todos invoquen el Nombre de Yavé, y le sirvan de común acuerdo.
For thanne Y schal yelde to puplis a chosun lippe, that alle clepe inwardli in the name of the Lord, and serue to hym with o schuldre.
10 Desde más allá de los ríos de Etiopía, los que me invocan en medio de la dispersión, me traerán ofrenda.
Ouer the floodis of Ethiopie, fro thens my bisecheris, the sones of my scaterid men, schulen brynge yifte to me.
11 En aquel día no serás avergonzada por ninguna de tus obras con las cuales te rebelaste contra Mí, porque entonces quitaré de en medio de ti a los que se alegran en tu altivez. No volverás a ser altiva en mi Santa Montaña.
In that day thou schalt not be confoundid on alle thi fyndyngis, in whiche thou trespassidist ayens me; for thanne Y schal take awei fro the myddil of thee grete spekeris of thi pride, and thou schalt no more put to, for to be enhaunsid in myn hooli hil.
12 Entonces dejaré en medio de ti un pueblo humilde y pobre, el cual se refugiará en el Nombre de Yavé.
And Y schal leeue in the myddil of thee a pore puple and nedi; and thei schulen hope in the name of the Lord.
13 El remanente de Israel no hará injusticia, ni dirá mentiras, ni se hallará en su boca lengua engañosa, pues ellos se apacentarán y reposarán, sin que alguien los haga temblar.
The relifs of Israel schulen not do wickidnesse, nether schulen speke leesyng, and a gileful tunge schal not be foundun in the mouth of hem; for thei schulen be fed, and schulen reste, and ther schal not be that schal make aferd.
14 ¡Canta, oh hija de Sion! ¡Da voces de júbilo, oh Israel! ¡Alégrate y regocíjate de todo corazón, Oh hija de Jerusalén!
These thingis seith the Lord, Douyter of Sion, herie thou hertli, synge thou, Israel; be thou glad, and make thou ioie withoutforth in al thin herte, thou douyter of Jerusalem.
15 Yavé apartó tus juicios. Echó fuera tus enemigos. Yavé, el Rey de Israel, está en medio de ti. ¡Ya no temerás al desastre!
The Lord hath take a wei thi dom, hath turned a wey thin enemyes; the kyng of Israel the Lord is in myddil of thee, thou schalt no more drede yuel.
16 En aquel día se dirá a Jerusalén: ¡No temas, oh Sion, ni se debiliten tus manos!
In that dai it schal be seid, Jerusalem, nyle thou drede; Sion, thin hondis be not clumsid.
17 ¡Yavé tu ʼElohim está en medio de ti! El Poderoso salvará. Se gozará contigo alegremente y te tranquilizará con su amor. Se regocijará por ti con cánticos.
Thi Lord God is strong in the myddil of thee, he schal saue; he schal make ioie on thee in gladnesse, he schal be stille in thi louyng, he schal make ioie withoutforth on thee in heriyng.
18 Reuniré a los que lloran apartados de ti. Como en los días de fiesta solemne te libraré del oprobio que pesa sobre ti.
Y schal gadere the foolis, ether veyn men, that wenten awei fro the lawe, for thei weren of thee, that thou haue no more schenschipe on hem.
19 Ciertamente en aquel tiempo convertiré a todos tus opresores en oprobio. Pero salvaré a la que cojea y recogeré a la descarriada. Las pondré como objeto de alabanza y renombre en todas las naciones donde fueron avergonzadas.
Lo! Y schal sle alle men that turmentiden thee in that tyme, and Y schal saue him that haltith, and Y schal gadere hir that was cast out; and Y schal putte hem in to heriyng, and in to name in ech lond of confusioun of hem, in that tyme in which Y schal brynge you,
20 En ese tiempo los traeré y en esa ocasión los recogeré. Los haré motivo de alabanza y renombre entre todos los pueblos de la tierra cuando Yo los restaure de su cautiverio ante sus mismos ojos, dice Yavé.
and in the tyme in which Y schal gadre you. For Y schal yyue you in to name, and in to heriyng to alle puplis of erthe, whanne Y schal conuerte youre caitifte bifore youre iyen, seith the Lord.
