Zacarías 9

1 La carga de Yavé está en la tierra de Hadrac y llega a Damasco para descansar. De Yavé son las ciudades de Aram, así como todas las tribus de Israel,

The burden of the word of the LORD upon the land of Hadrach, and Damascus [shall be] its resting place: for the eye of man and of all the tribes of Israel is toward the LORD:

2 también la vecina Hamat, Tiro y Sidón, las muy sabias.

and Hamath also which bordereth thereon: Tyre and Zidon, because she is very wise.

3 Tiro se edificó una fortaleza, amontonó plata como polvo y oro como el lodo de las calles.

And Tyre did build herself a strong hold, and heaped up silver as the dust, and fine gold as the mire of the streets.

4 Pero ʼAdonay la desposeerá y echará al mar sus riquezas. Ella será devorada por el fuego.

Behold, the Lord will dispossess her, and he will smite her power in the sea; and she shall be devoured with fire.

5 Lo verá Ascalón y temerá. Gaza se retorcerá de dolor, y también Ecrón, pues su esperanza fue avergonzada. El rey de Gaza perecerá. Ascalón ya no será habitada.

Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Gaza also, and shall be sore pained; and Ekron, for her expectation shall be ashamed: and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.

6 Un hijo ilegítimo vivirá en Asdod. Así destruiré la altivez de los filisteos.

And a bastard shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the pride of the Philistines.

7 Apartaré la sangre de su boca y las repugnancias de entre sus dientes. También quedará un remanente de ellos para nuestro ʼElohim y será como una familia en Judá. Ecrón será como un jebuseo.

And I will take away his blood out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; and he also shall be a remnant for our God: and he shall be as a chieftain in Judah, and Ekron as a Jebusite.

8 Acamparé como guarnición alrededor de mi Casa, contra el que va y el que viene. El opresor no volverá a pasar sobre ellos, porque ahora Yo vigilo con mis ojos.

And I will encamp about mine house against the army, that none pass through or return: and no oppressor shall pass through them any more: for now have I seen with mine eyes.

9 ¡Alégrate mucho, hija de Sion! ¡Da voces de júbilo, hija de Jerusalén! Mira a tu Rey que viene a ti, justo y victorioso, humilde, montado en un pollino de asna.

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy king cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, even upon a colt the foal of an ass.

10 Destruiré los carruajes de Efraín y los caballos de Jerusalén. El arco de guerra será quebrado, porque Él hablará paz a las naciones. Su soberanía será de mar a mar, y desde el Río hasta los confines de la tierra.

And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off; and he shall speak peace unto the nations: and his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

11 También en cuanto a ti, a causa de la sangre de tu pacto, liberaré a tus cautivos de la cisterna sin agua.

As for thee also, because of the blood of thy covenant I have sent forth thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no water.

12 ¡Oh cautivos de esperanza, vuelvan a la fortaleza! Hoy mismo les declaro que les restauraré al doble.

Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee.

13 Tensaré a Judá como mi arco y cargaré mi arco con Efraín. Haré de ti, oh Sion, una espada de valiente. Incitaré a tus hijos, oh Sion, contra tus hijos, oh Grecia. Convertiré a Sion como una espada de guerrero.

For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man.

14 Yavé será visto como su Jefe. Sus flechas saldrán como rayos. Yavé ʼAdonay tocará la trompeta y avanzará entre los remolinos del sur.

And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the Lord GOD shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

15 Yavé de las huestes los defenderá. Ellos devorarán y aplastarán con hondas, beberán y alborotarán como por causa del vino. Se llenarán como tazones o como las esquinas del altar.

The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and shall tread down the sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine: and they shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

16 En aquel día Yavé su ʼElohim los salvará, como el rebaño de su pueblo, porque son como piedras preciosas de una corona que brillan en su tierra.

And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for [they shall be as] the stones of a crown, lifted on high over his land.

17 Porque ¡cuán grande es su bondad y su hermosura! El trigo hará florecer a los jóvenes y el mosto a las doncellas.

For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maids.
