Romanos 5
1 Por tanto, como somos declarados justos por [la ]fe, tenemos paz con Dios por medio de nuestro Señor Jesucristo,
Being therefore justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
2 por Quien también obtuvimos entrada a esta gracia en la cual estamos firmes, y celebramos [la] esperanza de la gloria de Dios.
through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
3 No solo [esto], sino también celebramos las aflicciones, pues sabemos que la aflicción produce paciencia,
Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance;
4 y la paciencia, carácter aprobado, y el carácter aprobado, esperanza.
and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope;
5 La esperanza no decepciona, porque el amor de Dios se derramó en nuestros corazones por medio del Espíritu Santo que se nos dio.
and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
6 Porque aún cuando éramos incapaces, a su tiempo Cristo murió por [los] impíos.
For while we were yet weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 Con dificultad alguien muere por un justo. Tal vez alguno tenga el valor de morir por el bueno.
For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die.
8 Pero Dios demuestra su amor hacia nosotros, porque cuando éramos aún pecadores, Cristo murió por nosotros.
But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Por tanto, mucho más ahora, al ser declarados justos a causa de su sangre, seremos salvos de la ira por medio de Él.
Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God’s wrath through him.
10 Porque si cuando éramos enemigos fuimos reconciliados con Dios por medio de la muerte de su Hijo, mucho más después de ser reconciliados seremos salvos por su vida.
For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
11 No solo [esto], sino también celebramos a Dios a causa de nuestro Señor Jesucristo, por medio de Quien recibimos la reconciliación.
Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
12 Por esto, como el pecado entró en el mundo por medio de un hombre, y la muerte por medio del pecado, así también la muerte pasó a todos los hombres, porque todos pecaron.
Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin, so death passed to all men because all sinned.
13 Pues antes de [la] Ley había pecado en [el] mundo, pero como no había Ley, no se tenía en cuenta [el] pecado.
For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.
14 La muerte reinó desde Adán hasta Moisés, aun sobre los que no pecaron [con una ofensa] semejante a la transgresión de Adán, quien es figura del que vendría.
Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins were not like Adam’s disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.
15 Pero el Regalo no es como la transgresión. Porque si por la transgresión de uno, [Adán], muchos murieron, mucho más abundó [la] gracia de Dios para muchos y el Regalo [que vino] por la gracia de un Hombre: Jesucristo.
But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.
16 Con el Regalo no sucede como en el caso de aquel que pecó. Porque ciertamente el juicio [vino] a causa de un solo [pecado] para condenación, pero el Regalo [vino] a causa de muchas transgresiones para justificación.
The gift is not as through one who sinned; for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift followed many trespasses to justification.
17 Porque si por la transgresión de uno reinó la muerte, mucho más reinarán en vida los que reciben la abundancia de la gracia y el Regalo de la justicia por medio de Uno, Jesucristo.
For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.
18 Como por medio de [la] transgresión llegó la culpa a todos los hombres para condenación, así también, por medio de un acto de justicia llegó la gracia a todos los hombres para justificación de vida.
So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.
19 Como por la desobediencia de un hombre muchos fueron declarados pecadores, así por la obediencia de Uno muchos serán declarados justos.
For as through the one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.
20 [La] Ley entró para que abundara la transgresión. Pero cuando el pecado abundó, sobreabundó la gracia,
The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,
21 a fin de que como el pecado reinó para muerte, así también la gracia reine por medio de [la] justicia para vida eterna por medio de Jesucristo nuestro Señor. (aiōnios g166)
that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to consummate (aiōnios g166) life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
