Apocalipsis 6
1 Vi cuando el Cordero abrió uno de los siete sellos y escuché a uno de los cuatro seres vivientes que decía con voz de trueno: ¡Ven!
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying as with a voice of thunder, Come.
2 Miré, y ahí estaba un caballo blanco. Su jinete tenía un arco. Se le dio una corona. Salió venciendo y para vencer.
And I saw, and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon had a bow; and there was given unto him a crown: and he came forth conquering, and to conquer.
3 Cuando [el Cordero ]abrió el segundo sello, escuché al segundo ser viviente que decía: ¡Ven!
And when he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, Come.
4 Salió otro caballo rojizo. A su jinete se le concedió quitar la paz de la tierra, y [los hombres] se matarán unos a otros. Y se le dio una gran espada.
And another [horse] came forth, a red horse: and to him that sat thereon it was given to take peace from the earth, and that they should slay one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.
5 Cuando [el Cordero ]abrió el tercer sello, escuché al tercer ser viviente que decía: ¡Ven! Y miré, y ahí estaba un caballo negro. Su jinete tenía una balanza en la mano.
And when he opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, Come. And I saw, and behold, a black horse; and he that sat thereon had a balance in his hand.
6 Escuché una voz en medio de los cuatro seres vivientes que decía: Un litro de trigo por un denario, tres litros de cebada por un denario. Y no dañes el aceite ni el vino.
And I heard as it were a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny; and the oil and the wine hurt thou not.
7 Cuando [el Cordero ] abrió el cuarto sello, escuché la voz del cuarto ser viviente que decía: ¡Ven!
And when he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature saying, Come.
8 Miré, y ahí estaba un caballo pálido. Su jinete se llamaba Muerte, y el Hades seguía con él. Y le fue concedida autoridad sobre la cuarta parte de la tierra para matar con espada, hambre, pestilencia y las fieras de la tierra. (Hadēs g86)
And I saw, and behold, a pale horse: and he that sat upon him, his name was Death; and Hades followed with him. And there was given unto them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth. (Hadēs g86)
9 Cuando [el Cordero ]abrió el quinto sello, miré debajo del altar las almas de los que habían sido asesinados por causa de la Palabra de Dios y del testimonio que tenían.
And when he opened the fifth seal, I saw underneath the altar the souls of them that had been slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:
10 Clamaban a gran voz y preguntaban: ¿Oh Soberano, Santo y Verdadero, hasta cuándo no juzgas a los que viven en la tierra y vengas nuestra sangre?
and they cried with a great voice, saying, How long, O Master, the holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?
11 Se le dio a cada uno una túnica blanca, y se les dijo que descansaran aún un corto tiempo, hasta que fuera completado [el número] tanto de sus consiervos como de sus hermanos que estaban a punto de ser asesinados como ellos.
And there was given them to each one a white robe; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little time, until their fellow-servants also and their brethren, which should be killed even as they were, should be fulfilled.
12 Miré cuando [el Cordero ]abrió el sexto sello. Hubo un gran terremoto, el sol oscureció como tela de crin y la luna entera se volvió como sangre.
And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood;
13 Las estrellas del cielo cayeron a la tierra como una higuera suelta sus brevas cuando es sacudida por un viento fuerte.
and the stars of the heaven fell unto the earth, as a fig tree casteth her unripe figs, when she is shaken of a great wind.
14 El cielo fue replegado como un rollo que es enrollado. Toda montaña y toda isla fueron removidas de sus lugares.
And the heaven was removed as a scroll when it is rolled up; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.
15 Los reyes de la tierra, los grandes, los magistrados, los ricos, los poderosos, y todo esclavo y libre se escondieron en las cuevas y entre las rocas de las montañas.
And the kings of the earth, and the princes, and the chief captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every bondman and freeman, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains;
16 Y decían a las montañas y a las rocas: ¡Caigan sobre nosotros! ¡Escóndannos de la presencia del que está sentado en el trono y de la ira del Cordero!
and they say to the mountains and to the rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:
17 Porque llegó el gran día de la ira de ellos, y ¿quién puede sostenerse en pie?
for the great day of their wrath is come; and who is able to stand?
