Apocalipsis 12
1 Una gran señal apareció en el cielo: una mujer vestida con el sol y la luna debajo de sus pies, y en su cabeza una corona de 12 estrellas.
And a great sign was seen in the sky: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars,
2 Como estaba embarazada, gritaba con dolores de parto. Estaba atormentada por dar a luz.
and having [a child] in [her] womb she cries out, travailing and being in pain to bring forth.
3 También se vio otra señal en el cielo: Ahí estaba un gran dragón rojo como fuego que tenía siete cabezas, diez cuernos, y siete diademas en sus cabezas.
And there was seen another sign in the sky, and behold, a great fire-colored dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns on his heads,
4 Su cola arrastraba la tercera parte de las estrellas del cielo y las echó a la tierra. El dragón se paró delante de la mujer que estaba a punto de dar a luz, para devorar a su Hijo cuando diera a luz.
and his tail draws the third of the stars of the sky, and he cast them to the earth; and the dragon stood before the woman who is about to bring forth, that when she may bring forth, he may devour her child;
5 Dio a luz un Hijo varón, destinado a pastorear con vara de hierro a todas las naciones. Su Hijo fue arrebatado para Dios y para su trono.
and she brought forth a male son, who is about to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, and her child was snatched up to God and to His throne,
6 La mujer huyó al desierto, donde tenía un lugar preparado por Dios, para que allí la sustenten durante 1.260 días.
and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place made ready from God, that there they may nourish her—one thousand, two hundred, sixty days.
7 Hubo una batalla en el cielo: Miguel y sus ángeles luchaban contra el dragón. Luchó el dragón y sus ángeles,
And there came war in Heaven: Michael and his messengers warred against the dragon, and the dragon and his messengers warred,
8 pero no prevaleció, ni se halló lugar para ellos en el cielo.
and they did not prevail, nor was their place found anymore in Heaven;
9 Fue echado el gran dragón, la serpiente antigua, el llamado diablo y Satanás, el cual engaña al mundo entero. Fue lanzado a la tierra, y sus ángeles fueron echados con él.
and the great dragon was cast forth—the old serpent, who is called “Devil,” and “Satan,” who is leading the whole world astray—he was cast forth to the earth, and his messengers were cast forth with him.
10 Entonces escuché una gran voz en el cielo que decía: ¡Ahora llegó la salvación, el poder y el reino de nuestro Dios, y la soberanía de su Cristo, porque fue echado el acusador de nuestros hermanos, el que los acusaba de día y de noche delante de nuestro Dios!
And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, “Now came the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom, of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers was cast down, who is accusing them before our God day and night;
11 Ellos lo vencieron por medio de la sangre del Cordero y por la palabra de su testimonio. No apreciaron su vida aun frente a [la] muerte.
and they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life—to death;
12 Por tanto ¡alégrense, cielos, y los que moran en ellos! ¡Ay de la tierra y del mar, porque el diablo bajó a ustedes con gran furor al saber que tiene poco tiempo!
because of this be glad, you heavens, and those who dwell in them; woe to those inhabiting the earth and the sea, because the Devil went down to you, having great wrath, having known that he has [a] short time.”
13 Cuando el dragón vio que fue arrojado a la tierra, persiguió a la mujer que dio a luz al Varón.
And when the dragon saw that he was cast forth to the earth, he pursued the woman who brought forth the male,
14 Pero a la mujer se [le] dieron las dos alas de la gran águila para que volara a su lugar en el desierto, donde es sustentada por tiempo, tiempos y medio tiempo, [lejos] de la presencia de la serpiente.
and there were given to the woman two wings of the great eagle, that she may fly into the wilderness, to her place, where she is nourished a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent;
15 La serpiente arrojó agua de su boca como un río tras la mujer para que fuera arrastrada por un río.
and the serpent cast forth out of his mouth water as a river after the woman, that he may cause her to be carried away by the river,
16 Pero la tierra ayudó a la mujer, pues la tierra abrió su boca y tragó el río que el dragón arrojó de su boca.
and the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon cast forth out of his mouth;
17 Entonces el dragón se enfureció contra la mujer, e hizo [la] guerra contra los demás de su descendencia, los cuales guardan los Mandamientos de Dios y tienen el testimonio de Jesús.
and the dragon was angry against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed, those keeping the commands of God, and having the testimony of Jesus.
