Salmos 1

1 ¡Inmensamente feliz es el varón que no anduvo en consejo de impíos, Ni se detuvo en camino de pecadores, Ni se sentó en silla de burladores!

“BOOK I” Happy the man who walketh not in the counsel of the unrighteous, Nor standeth in the way of sinners, Nor sitteth in the seat of scoffers;

2 Sino en la Ley de Yavé halla complacencia, Y en su Ley reflexiona de día y de noche.

But whose delight is in the law of the LORD, And who meditateth on his precepts day and night.

3 Será como árbol plantado junto a corrientes de agua Que da su fruto a su tiempo Y su follaje no se marchita. Todo lo que hace tendrá éxito.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, That bringeth forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaves also do not wither: All that he doeth shall prosper.

4 No así los impíos, Que son como cáscara de grano levantada por el viento.

Not so the unrighteous; They are like chaff, which the wind driveth away.

5 Por tanto, no se levantarán los impíos en el juicio.

Therefore the wicked shall not stand in judgment, Nor sinners in the assembly of the just.

6 Porque Yavé conoce el camino de los justos, Pero la senda de los impíos lleva a destrucción.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous, But the way of the wicked leadeth to ruin.
