Salmos 9
1 Daré gracias a Yavé con todo mi corazón. Contaré todas tus maravillas.
Yahweh, I will praise you with all of my inner being. I will tell [others] about all the wonderful things that you have done.
2 Me alegraré y me regocijaré en Ti. Cantaré alabanza a tu Nombre, oh Altísimo.
I will sing to celebrate what you [MTY], who are much greater than all other gods, [have done].
3 Cuando mis enemigos se volvieron atrás, Tropezaron y perecieron delante de Ti.
When my enemies realize [that you are very powerful], they stumble, and then they are killed.
4 Porque Tú mantuviste mi justicia y mi causa. Te sentaste en el trono a juzgar justamente.
You sat on your throne to judge people, and you have judged fairly/justly concerning me.
5 Reprendiste a las naciones, Destruíste a los perversos, Borraste su nombre para siempre.
You rebuked the [people of other] nations and you have gotten rid of the wicked people; you have erased their names forever.
6 El enemigo sucumbió en desolación eterna, Destruiste sus ciudades, Y con ellas se desvaneció su recuerdo.
Our enemies have disappeared; you destroyed their cities, and people do not even remember them any more.
7 Pero Yavé permanece para siempre. Él estableció su trono para el juicio
But Yahweh rules forever. He judges [people while he sits] on his throne to judge people,
8 Y juzgará al mundo con justicia. Hará juicio con equidad a las naciones.
and he will judge [all the people in] [SYN] the world justly; he will judge the people [of all nations] fairly [DOU].
9 Yavé será un refugio, una torre alta para el oprimido, Un baluarte y fortaleza en tiempos de angustia.
Yahweh will be a refuge for those who are oppressed; [yes, he will be like] a shelter for them when they have trouble.
10 En Ti confiarán los que conocen tu Nombre, Por cuanto Tú, oh Yavé, no abandonas a los que te buscan.
Those who know Yahweh [MTY] trust in him; he never abandons those who come to him ([for help/to worship him]).
11 ¡Canten alabanzas a Yavé, Quien mora en Sion! ¡Anuncien entre los pueblos sus proezas!
Yahweh rules from Zion [Hill]; praise him while you sing to him. Tell [the people of all] the nations the [marvelous] things that he has done.
12 Porque Aquel que demanda la sangre se acuerda de ellos. No olvida el clamor de los afligidos.
He does not forget [to punish] those who have murdered others; and he will not ignore people who are crying because they are suffering.
13 Oh Yavé, ten compasión de mí. Mira mi aflicción a causa de los que me aborrecen. Tú, que me levantas de las puertas de la muerte,
Yahweh, be merciful to me! Look at the ways that my enemies have injured me. Do not allow me to die [because of these injuries].
14 Para que cuente todas tus alabanzas En las puertas de la hija de Sion, Y me regocije en tu salvación.
I want to live in order that I can praise you at the gates of Jerusalem [MTY] and to rejoice because you rescued me.
15 Las naciones se hundieron en la fosa que cavaron, Sus pies fueron atrapados en la red que ellos mismos escondieron.
[It is as though] the [wicked people of many] nations have dug a pit for me to fall into [MET], but they have fallen into that same pit. [It is as if] they spread out a net to catch me [MET], but their feet have been caught in that same net.
16 Yavé se dio a conocer. Impartió justicia. El perverso fue atrapado en la obra de sus propias manos. Meditación. (Selah)
Because of what you have done, people know that you decide matters [fairly/justly], but [you allow] wicked people to be trapped by the same evil things that they themselves do.
17 Los perversos serán trasladados al Seol, Todas las gentes que se olvidan de ʼElohim. (Sheol h7585)
Wicked people will all [die and] be buried in their graves, and [their spirits] will go to be with all those who have (forgotten about/rejected) you. (Sheol h7585)
18 Porque el pobre no será olvidado para siempre, Ni perecerá la esperanza de los afligidos para siempre.
But you will not forget those who are needy/poor; what they confidently expect will certainly happen.
19 ¡Levántate, oh Yavé, y no prevalezca el mortal! ¡Sean las naciones juzgadas delante de Ti!
Yahweh, arise and judge the [wicked] people of the nations; do not allow them to think that [because they are strong] they will never be punished.
20 ¡Infúndeles tu terror, oh Yavé, Y conozcan las naciones que no son sino hombres!
Yahweh, teach them to be terrified about you. Cause them to know that they are merely human beings.
