Salmos 83
1 Oh ʼElohim, no permanezcas en silencio. Oh ʼElohim, no calles, no estés imperturbable.
A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to thee? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
2 Pues [mira que] rugen tus enemigos, Y los que te aborrecen levantan la cabeza.
For behold, thine enemies have made a noise; and they that hate thee have lifted up the head.
3 Astutamente consultaron contra tu pueblo. Conspiran contra tus protegidos.
Against thy people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against thy saints.
4 Dijeron: Vengan. Destruyámoslos para que no sean nación. Que no haya más memoria del nombre de Israel.
They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
5 Porque con consentimiento conspiraron juntos. Contra Ti hacen un pacto:
For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against thee;
6 Las tiendas de Edom y los ismaelitas, Moab y los agarenos,
even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
7 Gebal, Amón y Amalec, Filistea con los habitantes de Tiro,
Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
8 También Asiria se unió a ellos. Sirven de brazo a los hijos de Lot. (Selah)
Yea, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
9 Haz con ellos como con Madián, Como con Sísara, Como con Jabín en el torrente de Cisón,
Do thou to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
10 Que fueron destruidos en Endor Y fueron como abono para la tierra.
They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
11 Haz a sus nobles como a Oreb y a Zeeb, Y a todos sus jefes como a Zeba y Zalmuna,
Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
12 Porque dijeron: Tomemos como posesión nuestra los prados de ʼElohim.
who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
13 Oh ʼElohim mío, conviértelos como un remolino de polvo, Como hojarasca ante el viento,
O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
14 Como fuego que consume el bosque, Como una llama incendia las montañas.
As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
15 Persíguelos así con tu tempestad Y aterrorízalos con tu tormenta.
so shalt thou persecute them with thy tempest, and trouble them in thine anger.
16 Llena sus caras de deshonra, Para que busquen tu Nombre, oh Yavé.
Fill their faces with dishonour; so shall they seek thy name, O Lord.
17 Sean avergonzados y turbados para siempre. Sean humillados y perezcan,
Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yea, let them be confounded and destroyed.
18 Y sepan que solo Tú, tu Nombre es Yavé. Eres el ʼElyón sobre toda la tierra.
And let them know that thy name is Lord; that thou alone art Most High over all the earth.
