Salmos 7
1 ¡Oh Yavé, ʼElohim mío, en Ti me refugio! ¡Sálvame y líbrame de todos los que me persiguen!
“A Shiggayon of David, which he sang unto the Lord, concerning the affairs of Cush the Benjamite.” O Lord my God, in thee do I put my trust; save me from every one of my persecutors, and deliver me:
2 No sea que el enemigo desgarre mi vida como león, Que despedace, y no haya quien libre.
Lest he tear like a lion my soul, rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.
3 Oh Yavé, ʼElohim mío, si hice esto, Si hay iniquidad en mis manos,
O Lord my God, if I have done this; if there be injustice in my hands;
4 Si pagué con perversidad al que estaba en paz conmigo, Más bien libré al que sin causa era mi adversario,
If I have recompensed him that was at peace with me with evil; If I have taken aught from my assailants without cause:
5 Que el enemigo persiga mi vida y la tome, Que pisotee en tierra mi vida, Y haga bajar mi honor hasta el polvo. (Selah)
May the enemy hotly pursue my soul, and overtake it; and tread down upon the earth my life, and cause my honor to be in the dust. (Selah)
6 ¡Levántate, oh Yavé, en tu ira! ¡Álzate contra la furia de mis adversarios, Y despierta a mi favor en el juicio que convocaste!
Arise, O Lord, in thy anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of my enemies: and awake for me [to] the judgment that thou hast commanded.
7 ¡Que te rodee la asamblea de naciones, Y sobre ella preside Tú desde lo alto!
So shall the congregation of nations compass thee about: and for their sakes return thou to the height.
8 Oh Yavé, Tú, Impartidor de justicia a los pueblos: ¡Júzgame, Yavé, conforme a mi rectitud, Conforme a la integridad que hay en mí!
The Lord will judge the people: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my integrity [grant] me [recompense].
9 ¡Acábese la perversidad de los perversos, Y sea el justo firmemente establecido! Porque es justo el ʼElohim que prueba [el] corazón Y lo más íntimo de mi personalidad.
Oh let the evil of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just, O thou, who triest the hearts and reins, O righteous God.
10 Mi escudo es ʼElohim, Quien salva a los rectos de corazón.
My protection is by God, who saveth the upright in heath.
11 ʼElohim es Juez justo. Es un ʼElohim que sentencia cada día.
God is a righteous judge, and a God who is indignant [with the wicked] every day.
12 Si el hombre no se convierte, afilará su espada. Tensará su arco y apuntará.
If he turn not, He will whet his sword, he bendeth his bow, and maketh it ready.
13 Se preparó sus armas mortales, Y dispuso sus flechas abrasadoras.
Also for him he prepareth the instruments of death; he fashioneth his arrows against the persecutors.
14 Ahí están los dolores de parto de la iniquidad. Concibió perversidad y dio a luz la falsedad.
Behold, he travaileth with wrong doing; but he hath conceived mischief, and bringeth forth falsehood.
15 Hizo un hoyo y lo ahondó. ¡Pero él mismo cayó en el foso preparado!
He hath hollowed out a pit, and dug it, and is fallen into the ditch which he hath wrought.
16 Su perversidad se revierte sobre su cabeza, Y su violencia desciende sobre su coronilla.
His mischief will return upon his own head, and upon his own skull will his violence come down.
17 Alabaré a Yavé conforme a su justicia Y cantaré alabanzas al Nombre de Yavé el Altísimo.
I will thank the Lord according to his righteousness; and I will sing praises to the name of the Lord the Most High.
