Salmos 37

1 No te impacientes a causa de los malignos, Ni tengas envidia de los que hacen iniquidad.

A Psalm of David. Fret not thyself because of evil-doers, neither be thou envious against them that work unrighteousness.

2 Porque como hierba, serán pronto marchitados, Y como la hierba verde se secarán.

For they shall soon wither like the grass, and fade as the green herb.

3 Confía en Yavé y practica el bien. Así vivirás en la tierra y te apacentarás de la fidelidad.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, and cherish faithfulness.

4 Deléitate también en Yavé, Y Él te dará los deseos de tu corazón.

So shalt thou delight thyself in the LORD; and He shall give thee the petitions of thy heart.

5 Encomienda a Yavé tu camino, Confía en Él, Y Él hará.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in Him, and He will bring it to pass.

6 Exhibirá tu justicia como la luz, Y tu derecho como el mediodía.

And He will make thy righteousness to go forth as the light, and thy right as the noonday.

7 Guarda silencio ante Yavé, Y espéralo con paciencia. No te impacientes a causa del que prospera en su camino, A causa del hombre que maquina perversidades.

Resign thyself unto the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Deja la ira, desecha el enojo, No te excites de alguna manera a hacer el mal.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; fret not thyself, it tendeth only to evil-doing.

9 Porque los perversos serán cortados, Pero los que esperan en Yavé heredarán la tierra.

For evil-doers shall be cut off; but those that wait for the LORD, they shall inherit the land.

10 Pues dentro de poco el perverso no existirá. Examinarás con diligencia su lugar, y no estará allí.

And yet a little while, and the wicked is no more; yea, thou shalt look well at his place, and he is not.

11 Pero los mansos poseerán la tierra, Y se deleitarán con abundante paz.

But the humble shall inherit the land, and delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 Maquina el inicuo contra el justo, Y cruje sus dientes contra él.

The wicked plotteth against the righteous, and gnasheth at him with his teeth.

13 ʼAdonay se ríe de él, Porque ve que le llega su día.

The Lord doth laugh at him; for He seeth that his day is coming.

14 Los impíos desenvainaron espada y tensaron su arco Para derribar al pobre y al menesteroso, Para matar a los rectos de conducta.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow; to cast down the poor and needy, to slay such as are upright in the way;

15 Su espada penetrará en su propio corazón, Y sus arcos serán quebrados.

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 Mejor es lo poco del justo, Que la abundancia de muchos perversos.

Better is a little that the righteous hath than the abundance of many wicked.

17 Porque los brazos de los perversos serán quebrados, Pero Yavé sostiene a los justos.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 Yavé conoce los días de los íntegros, Y la heredad de ellos será eterna.

The LORD knoweth the days of them that are wholehearted; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 No serán avergonzados en tiempo adverso, Y en días de hambre serán saciados.

They shall not be ashamed in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 Pero los perversos perecerán. Los enemigos de Yavé serán consumidos Como el verdor de los prados. Desvanecerán como el humo.

For the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs — they shall pass away in smoke, they shall pass away.

21 El perverso toma prestado y no paga, Pero el justo es compasivo y da.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not; but the righteous dealeth graciously, and giveth.

22 Porque los benditos por Él heredarán la tierra, Pero los malditos por Él serán cortados.

For such as are blessed of Him shall inherit the land; and they that are cursed of Him shall be cut off.

23 Por Yavé son establecidos los pasos del hombre En cuyo camino Él se deleita.

It is of the LORD that a man's goings are established; and He delighted in his way.

24 Aunque caiga, no quedará postrado, Porque Yavé sostiene su mano.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the LORD upholdeth his hand.

25 Fui joven, y ahora soy anciano, Y no he visto justo desamparado, Ni a su descendencia que mendigue pan.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 En todo tiempo tiene misericordia, y presta, Y sus descendientes son para bendición.

All the day long he dealeth graciously, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 Apártate del mal y practica la rectitud, Y vivirás para siempre.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 Porque Yavé ama la justicia, Y no desampara a sus piadosos. Para siempre son guardados sus santos, Pero la descendencia de los perversos será cortada.

For the LORD loveth justice, and forsaketh not His saints; they are preserved for ever; but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 Los justos heredarán la tierra, Y vivirán en ella para siempre.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 La boca del justo expresa sabiduría y habla justicia.

The mouth of the righteous uttereth wisdom, and his tongue speaketh justice.

31 La Ley de su ʼElohim está en su corazón. Sus pasos no resbalan.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps slide.

32 El perverso acecha al justo Y trata de matarlo.

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 Yavé no lo dejará en su mano, Ni permitirá que sea condenado cuando sea juzgado.

The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor suffer him to be condemned when he is judged.

34 Espera a Yavé y guarda tu camino. Él te exaltará para que poseas la tierra. Cuando los perversos sean cortados, Tú lo verás.

Wait for the LORD, and keep His way, and He will exalt thee to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 He visto al perverso en gran poder Extenderse como árbol frondoso en su propio suelo.

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a leafy tree in its native soil.

36 Pero luego pasó y no fue más, Lo busqué, y no fue hallado.

But one passed by, and, lo, he was not; yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 Considera al hombre recto y mira al justo, Porque hay un final feliz para el hombre de paz.

Mark the man of integrity, and behold the upright; for there is a future for the man of peace.

38 Pero los transgresores serán destruidos por completo. La posteridad de los perversos será cortada.

But transgressors shall be destroyed together; the future of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 La salvación de los justos es de Yavé. Él es su Fortaleza en el tiempo de angustia.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD; He is their stronghold in the time of trouble.

40 Yavé los ayuda y los libra. Los liberta de los perversos y los salva, Porque se refugian en Él.

And the LORD helpeth them, and delivereth them; He delivereth them from the wicked, and saveth them, because they have taken refuge in Him.
