Salmos 34
1 Bendeciré a Yavé en todo tiempo. Su alabanza estará de continuo en mi boca.
“A psalm of David, when he feigned himself mad before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.” I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.
2 En Yavé se gloriará mi alma. Lo oirán los mansos y se alegrarán.
In the LORD doth my soul boast; Let the afflicted hear, and rejoice!
3 Engrandezcan a Yavé conmigo, Y exaltemos juntos su Nombre.
O magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt his name together!
4 Busqué a Yavé y Él me respondió, Y me libró de todos mis temores.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, And delivered me from all my fears.
5 Los que miraron a Él fueron iluminados, Y sus semblantes nunca serán avergonzados.
Look up to him, and ye shall have light; Your faces shall never be ashamed.
6 Este pobre clamó, Y Yavé lo escuchó, Y lo salvó de todas sus angustias.
This afflicted man cried, and the LORD heard, And saved him from all his troubles.
7 El Ángel de Yavé acampa alrededor de los que le temen, Y los rescata.
The angels of the LORD encamp around those who fear him, And deliver them.
8 Prueben y vean que Yavé es bueno. ¡Cuán feliz es el varón que confía en Él!
O taste, and see how good is the LORD! Happy the man who trusteth in him!
9 Teman a Yavé, ustedes sus santos, Porque nada falta a los que le temen.
O fear the LORD, ye his servants! For to those who fear him there shall be no want.
10 Los cachorros de león necesitan y sufren hambre, Pero los que buscan a Yavé no carecen de ningún bien.
Young lions want, and suffer hunger; But they who fear the LORD want no good thing.
11 Vengan, hijos, escúchenme. Les enseñaré el temor a Yavé.
Come, ye children, hearken to me! I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
12 ¿Quién es el hombre que desea vida, Que desea muchos días para ver el bien?
Who is he that loveth life, And desireth many days, in which he may see good?
13 Guarda tu boca del mal Y tus labios de hablar engaño.
Guard well thy tongue from evil, And thy lips from speaking guile!
14 Apártate del mal y haz el bien. Busca la paz y persíguela.
Depart from evil, and do good; Seek peace, and pursue it!
15 Los ojos de Yavé están hacia los justos, Y sus oídos atentos al clamor de ellos.
The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, And his ears are open to their cry.
16 El rostro de Yavé está contra los perversos, Para cortar su memoria de la tierra.
But the face of the LORD is against evil-doers, To cut off their remembrance from the earth.
17 Claman los justos, Y Yavé los oye Y los libra de todas sus angustias.
The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, And delivereth them from all their troubles.
18 Cercano está Yavé a los quebrantados de corazón, Y salva a los contritos de espíritu.
The LORD is near to them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.
19 Muchas son las aflicciones del justo, Pero de todas ellas lo libra Yavé.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous; But the LORD delivereth him from them all.
20 Él guarda todos sus huesos. Ni uno de ellos es quebrado.
He guardeth all his bones; Not one of them shall be broken.
21 Matará al malo la maldad, Y los que aborrecen al justo serán culpables.
Calamity destroyeth the wicked, And they who hate the righteous suffer for it.
22 Yavé redime la vida de sus esclavos. No serán condenados cuantos en Él confían.
The LORD redeemeth the life of his servants, And none that put their trust in him will suffer for it.
