Salmos 26

1 Defiéndeme, oh Yavé, porque en mi integridad anduve, Y en Yavé confié sin titubear.

David’s. Do me justice, O Yahweh, For, I, in my blamelessness, have walked, and, in Yahweh, have I trusted, I will not waver.

2 Examíname, oh Yavé, y pruébame. Escudriña lo más íntimo de mi personalidad y mi corazón,

Try me, O Yahweh, and prove me, Test my reins and my heart: —

3 Porque tu misericordia está delante de mis ojos Y ando en tu verdad.

For, thy lovingkindness, hath been before mine eyes, and I have walked to and fro in thy faithfulness;

4 No me siento con hombres falsos Ni ando con hipócritas.

I have not sat with men of deceit, nor, with dissemblers, would I enter;

5 Aborrezco la reunión de perversos Y no me sentaré con los inicuos.

I have hated the convocation of evil-doers, and, with lawless men, would I not sit;

6 Lavaré en inocencia mis manos, Y así andaré en torno a tu altar, oh Yavé,

I will bathe, in pureness, my hands, —so will I go in procession around thine altar, O Yahweh;

7 Para hacer resonar mi voz de gratitud Y contar todas tus maravillas.

To sound aloud a song, and to recount all thy wonderful doings.

8 Oh Yavé, yo amo la Casa donde moras, Y el lugar donde reside tu gloria.

O Yahweh, I have loved the asylum of thy house, even the place of the habitation of thy glory!

9 No arrebates mi alma con los pecadores, Ni mi vida con hombres sanguinarios,

Do not remove, with sinners, my soul, nor, with men of bloodshed, my life;

10 En las manos de los cuales está el crimen, Cuya mano derecha está llena de sobornos.

In whose hands is a plot, and, their right hand, is filled with a bribe.

11 En cuanto a mí, andaré en mi integridad. ¡Redímeme y ten misericordia de mí!

But, I, in my blamelessness, will walk, Redeem me and show me favour.

12 Mis pies están en suelo firme. Bendeciré a Yavé en las congregaciones.

My foot standeth in a level place, In the convocations, will I bless Yahweh.
