Salmos 21

1 Oh Yavé, el rey se alegrará en tu poder, Y en tu salvación ¡cuánto se regocijará!

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David. The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 Le diste el deseo de su corazón Y no le retuviste la petición de sus labios. (Selah)

Thou hast given him his heart’s desire, and hast not withheld the request of his lips. (Selah)

3 Con bendiciones de bien saliste a su encuentro. Corona de oro puro pusiste en su cabeza.

For thou meetest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 Vida te pidió, Y se la concediste, Largura de días, eternamente y para siempre.

He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it to him, even length of days for ever and ever.

5 Grande es su gloria por tu salvación. Pusiste sobre él honor y majestad.

His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.

6 Lo bendijiste para siempre. Lo llenaste de alegría con tu Presencia

For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.

7 Por cuanto el rey confía en Yavé. Por la misericordia de ʼElyón, no será conmovido.

For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.

8 Tu mano alcanzará a todos tus enemigos. Tu mano derecha alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

Thy hand shall find out all thy enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.

9 Los pondrás en horno de fuego en el tiempo de tu ira. Yavé los deshará en su ira, Y el fuego los consumirá.

Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thy anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.

10 Destruirás su producto de la tierra, Y su descendencia de entre los hijos de hombres.

Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.

11 Porque tramaron el mal contra Ti. Fraguaron un complot, Pero no prevalecerán.

For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.

12 Pues Tú les harás volver la espalda Al apuntar tu arco contra sus rostros.

Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thy arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.

13 ¡Engrandécete, oh Yavé, con tu fortaleza! Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.

Be thou exalted, LORD, in thy own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
