Salmos 132

1 Acuérdate, oh Yavé, de David, Y de toda su aflicción.

“A psalm of the steps, or the goings up.” O LORD! remember David, And all his affliction!

2 De cómo juró a Yavé, Y prometió al Fuerte de Jacob:

How he sware to Jehovah, And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:

3 Ciertamente no entraré en mi tienda, Ni subiré a mi cama.

“I will not go into my house, Nor lie down on my bed,

4 No concederé sueño a mis ojos, Ni a mis párpados calma,

I will not give sleep to my eyes, Nor slumber to my eyelids,

5 Hasta que halle lugar para Yavé, Tabernáculo para el Fuerte de Jacob.

Until I find a place for Jehovah, A habitation for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

6 Ciertamente oímos de ello en Efrata. Lo hallamos en el campo del bosque.

Behold, we heard of it at Ephratah; We found it in the fields of the forest.

7 Entremos en su Tabernáculo, Postrémonos ante el estrado de sus pies.

Let us go into his habitation; Let us worship at his footstool!

8 Oh Yavé, levántate [y ven] al lugar de tu reposo, Tú y el Arca de tu poder.

Arise, O LORD! into thy rest, Thou, and the ark of thy strength!

9 Que tus sacerdotes se vistan de justicia, Y se regocijen tus santos.

Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness, And thy holy ones shout for joy!

10 Por amor a David tu esclavo, No vuelvas el rostro de tu ungido.

For the sake of thy servant David, Reject not the prayer of thine anointed!

11 En verdad Yavé juró a David, Y no se retractará de ello: De tu descendencia sentaré en tu trono.

Jehovah hath sworn in truth unto David, And he will not depart from it: “Of the fruit of thy body will I place upon the throne for thee.

12 Si tus hijos observan mi Pacto, Y mi testimonio que Yo les enseño, Tus hijos también se sentarán en tu trono para siempre.

If thy children keep my covenant, And my statutes, which I teach them, Their children also throughout all ages Shall sit upon thy throne.”

13 Porque Yavé escogió a Sion. La deseó para morada suya:

For Jehovah hath chosen Zion; He hath desired it as his dwelling-place.

14 Este es el lugar de mi reposo para siempre. Aquí moraré, porque lo deseé.

“This is my resting-place for ever; Here will I dwell, for I have chosen it.

15 Con abundancia bendeciré su provisión, Y saciaré de pan a sus necesitados.

I will abundantly bless her provision; I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 Vestiré con salvación a sus sacerdotes, Y sus santos darán voces de júbilo.

I will also clothe her priests with salvation, And her holy ones shall shout aloud for joy.

17 Allí retoñará el poder de David. Dispuse una lámpara para mi ungido.

There will I cause to spring forth a horn for David; I have prepared a light for mine anointed.

18 A sus enemigos vestiré de vergüenza, Pero sobre él resplandecerá su corona.

His enemies will I clothe with shame, And the crown shall glitter upon his head.”
