Salmos 120

1 En mi angustia clamé a Yavé, Y Él me respondió.

A song of ascents. In my distress I called out to Yahweh, and he answered me.

2 Oh Yavé, libra mi vida de labios mentirosos, De una lengua engañadora.

Rescue my life, Yahweh, from those who lie with their lips and deceive with their tongues.

3 ¿Qué se te dará, O qué más se te hará, Oh lengua engañosa?

How will he punish you, and what more will he do to you, you who have a lying tongue?

4 Agudas flechas de guerrero, [Forjadas] con brasas de enebro.

He will punish you with the arrows of a warrior sharpened over burning coals of the broom tree.

5 ¡Ay de mí, porque vivo desterrado en Mesec, Y habito entre las tiendas de Cedar!

Woe is me because I temporarily live in Meshech; I lived previously among the tents of Kedar.

6 Mucho tiempo estuvo mi alma Con los que aborrecen la paz.

For too long I have lived with those who hate peace.

7 Yo soy pacífico, pero cuando hablo, Ellos me declaran la guerra.

I am for peace, but when I speak, they are for war.
