1 Amo a Yavé, Porque escucha mi voz y mis súplicas,
I love Yahweh—because he heareth my voice, my supplications;
2 Porque inclina a mí su oído. Por tanto, [lo] invocaré mientras viva.
Because he hath bowed down his ear unto me, therefore, throughout my days, will I call.
3 Me rodearon las ataduras de la muerte. Me cayeron los terrores del Seol. Hallé angustia y tristeza. (Sheol h7585)
The meshes of death encompassed me, and the distresses of hades, came upon me, Peril and sorrow, I found; (Sheol h7585)
4 Entonces invoqué el Nombre de Yavé: Oh Yavé, te busco, libra mi alma.
But, on the Name of Yahweh, I called—I beseech thee, Yahweh, deliver my soul.
5 Bondadoso y justo es Yavé. Sí, misericordioso es nuestro ʼElohim.
Gracious is Yahweh and righteous, and, our God, is full of compassion.
6 Yavé guarda a los sencillos. Estaba yo postrado Y Él me salvó.
Yahweh, preserveth the simple, I was brought low, when, to me, he granted salvation.
7 Vuelve, alma mía, a tu reposo, Porque Yavé te llenó de bien.
Return, O my soul, to thy rest, For, Yahweh, hath dealt bountifully with thee.
8 Tú libraste mi vida de la muerte, Mis ojos, de las lágrimas, Y mis pies, de tropezar.
For thou hast rescued my soul from death, —mine eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.
9 Andaré delante de Yavé En la tierra de los vivientes.
I will walk to and fro before Yahweh, in the lands of life.
10 Creí, por tanto hablé: Estoy afligido en gran manera.
I believed that I should speak, I, was greatly depressed.
11 Y dije en mi apresuramiento: Todo hombre es mentiroso.
I, said in mine alarm, All men, are false!
12 ¿Qué pagaré a Yavé Por todos sus beneficios para mí?
How shall I give back to Yahweh, All his benefits unto me?
13 Levantaré la copa de la salvación E invocaré el Nombre de Yavé.
The cup of salvation, will I lift, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:
14 A Yavé cumpliré mis votos En presencia de todo su pueblo.
My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in presence of all his people!
15 Estimada es a los ojos de Yavé La muerte de sus santos.
Costly in the eyes of Yahweh, is, death, for his men of lovingkindness.
16 Oh Yavé, ciertamente yo soy tu esclavo. Esclavo tuyo soy, hijo de tu esclava, Tú desataste mis ataduras.
I beseech thee, O Yahweh—for, I, am thy servant, —I, am thy servant, the son of thy handmaid, Thou hast loosened my bonds.
17 Te ofreceré sacrificio de acción de gracias E invocaré el Nombre de Yavé.
To thee, will I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanksgiving, and, on the Name of Yahweh, will I call:
18 A Yavé cumpliré mis votos, En presencia de todo su pueblo,
My vows—to Yahweh, will I pay, Might it be in the presence of all his people; —
19 En los patios de la Casa de Yavé, En medio de [ti], oh Jerusalén. ¡Aleluya!
In the courts of the house of Yahweh, In the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye Yah!
