Salmos 107
1 ¡Den gracias a Yavé, Porque Él es bueno, Porque para siempre es su misericordia!
O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.
2 Que lo digan los redimidos de Yavé, Los que redimió del poder del adversario,
Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;
3 Y los que congregó de las tierras, Del oriente y del occidente, del norte y del sur.
And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.
4 Ellos vagaron en un desierto, en región despoblada. No hallaron un camino hacia una ciudad habitada.
They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;
5 Tenían hambre y sed. Sus almas desfallecían en ellos.
Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:
6 Pero clamaron a Yavé en su angustia. Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;
7 Los condujo por un camino recto Para ir a una ciudad habitada.
And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.
8 ¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de [los ]hombres!
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;
9 Porque Él sacia al alma que tiene sed Y llena de bien al alma que tiene hambre.
For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.
10 Vivían en oscuridad y sombra de muerte, Prisioneros en aflicción y cadenas,
The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;
11 Por cuanto fueron rebeldes a las Palabras de ʼEL Y trataron con desprecio el consejo del ʼElyón.
Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;
12 Por tanto Él quebrantó sus corazones con trabajo. Cayeron y no hubo quien los ayudara.
And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,
13 Pero en su angustia clamaron a Yavé, Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;
14 Los sacó de la oscuridad y de la sombra de muerte, Y rompió sus ataduras.
He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.
15 ¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de [los] hombres!
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
16 Porque quebró las puertas de bronce, Y desmenuzó los cerrojos de hierro.
For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.
17 Fueron afligidos los necios a causa de su camino rebelde, Y a causa de sus iniquidades fueron afligidos.
The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;
18 Su vida aborreció toda clase de alimento, Y se acercaron a las puertas de la muerte.
All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,
19 Pero a Yavé clamaron en su angustia. Él los libró de sus aflicciones.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.
20 Envió su Palabra y los sanó, Y [los] libró de sus destrucciones.
He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.
21 ¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de [los ]hombres!
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
22 Ofrezcan también sacrificios de acción de gracias Y proclamen sus obras con júbilo.
Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.
23 Los que bajan en naves al mar, Los cuales hacen negocios sobre inmensas aguas.
Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;
24 Ellos vieron las obras de Yavé Y sus maravillas en las profundidades.
They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;
25 Porque Él habló y levantó un viento tempestuoso Que levantó las olas del mar.
And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;
26 Subían hacia los cielos, Bajaban a las profundidades, Su alma se derretía en su desesperación.
They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;
27 Temblaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios, Y toda su pericia fue inútil.
They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,
28 En su angustia clamaron a Yavé, Y Él los sacó de sus angustias.
Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,
29 Calmó la tormenta De tal modo que sus olas se apaciguaron.
He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:
30 Entonces se alegraron porque se calmaron. Y así los guía al puerto que anhelan.
Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.
31 ¡Den gracias a Yavé por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para los hijos de [los] hombres!
Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!
32 Exáltenlo en la congregación del pueblo, Y alábenlo en la reunión de los ancianos.
Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.
33 Él cambia ríos en desierto Y manantiales de aguas en sequedales,
He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,
34 La tierra fructífera en estéril, Por la perversidad de los que viven en ella.
A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.
35 Él convierte el desierto en estanques de aguas, Y la tierra seca en manantiales.
He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;
36 Allí coloca a los que tienen hambre, Para que establezcan una ciudad habitada.
And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;
37 Siembran campos y plantan viñas Y recogen abundante fruto.
And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:
38 Los bendice, Y se multiplican grandemente. No permite que disminuya su ganado
Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.
39 Cuando son menguados y abatidos Por medio de opresión, aflicción y tristeza.
So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;
40 Él derrama menosprecio sobre los nobles, Y los destina a vagar errantes en un desierto.
He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;
41 Pero Él pone en alto a los pobres lejos de la aflicción Y hace que [sus] familias sean como un rebaño.
But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —
42 Los rectos lo ven y se alegran, Pero toda injusticia cierra su boca.
The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.
43 ¿Quién es sabio? Observe estas cosas, Y entenderá las misericordias de Yavé.
Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
