Números 5
1 Yavé habló a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
2 Ordena a los hijos de Israel que echen del campamento a todo leproso, a todo afectado de gonorrea y con muerto.
Command the children of Israel, that they send out of the camp every leper, and every one that hath an issue, and whosoever is defiled by the dead:
3 Echa tanto a hombre como a mujer. Los echarás fuera del campamento para que no se contamine el campamento en el cual Yo moro en medio de ellos.
Both male and female shall ye send out, to without the camp shall ye send them; that they defile not their camps, in the midst whereof I dwell.
4 Los hijos de Israel hicieron así. Los echaron fuera del campamento como Yavé ordenó a Moisés. Así hicieron los hijos de Israel.
And the children of Israel did so, and they sent them out to without the camp: as the Lord had spoken unto Moses, so did the children of Israel.
5 Yavé habló a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
6 Habla a los hijos de Israel: Cuando un hombre o una mujer cometa cualquier pecado contra su prójimo, y así actúe infielmente contra Yavé, esa persona será culpable.
Speak unto the children of Israel, If any man or woman commit any sin against a fellow-man, thereby doing a trespass against the Lord, and this person thus become guilty:
7 Confesará el pecado que cometió, restituirá por completo el objeto del delito, añadirá la quinta parte de su valor y la entregará a aquel a quien perjudicó.
Then shall they confess their sin which they have committed; and he shall make restitution for his trespass with the principal thereof, and its fifth part shall he add thereto, and give it unto him against whom he hath trespassed.
8 Si la persona no tiene un pariente a quien se le restituya el daño, la restitución que se haga por el delito será para Yavé, para el sacerdote. Además ofrecerá un carnero en sacrificio que apacigua, con el cual se hará el sacrificio que apacigua por él.
But if the man have no kinsman to whom restitution could be made for the trespass, then shall the trespass which is restored unto the Lord, belong to the priest; besides the ram of the atonement, whereby an atonement shall be made for him.
9 Toda ofrenda de todas las cosas consagradas que los hijos de Israel presenten al sacerdote, será de él.
And every offering of all the holy things of the children of Israel, which they bring unto the priest, shall be his.
10 Lo consagrado por cualquiera persona será de él. También lo que cualquiera dé al sacerdote será suyo.
And every man's hallowed things shall be his: whatsoever any man giveth to the priest, shall belong to him.
11 Yavé habló a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
12 Habla a los hijos de Israel: Cuando la esposa de alguno se desvíe y le sea infiel,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If the wife of any man go aside, and commit a trespass against him,
13 y otro hombre conviva con ella a escondidas de su esposo, aunque no haya testigo contra ella de su contaminación, ni fue sorprendida en el acto,
And a man lie with her carnally, and it be hidden from the eyes of her husband, because she hath been secretly defiled; and there be no witness against her, and she have not been detected and in the fact;
14 si le viene a él espíritu de celos con respecto a ella, y ella realmente se contaminó, o le vengan celos de su esposa, aunque ella no se haya contaminado,
And the spirit of jealousy come over him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have been defiled; or the spirit of jealousy come over him, and he be jealous of his wife, and she have not been defiled:
15 entonces aquel esposo traerá a su esposa ante el sacerdote, y con ella traerá su ofrenda: 2,2 litros de harina de cebada, pero no derramará sobre ella aceite ni pondrá sobre ella incienso, porque es ofrenda vegetal de celos, ofrenda de grano recordatoria, que trae a la memoria la iniquidad.
Then shall the man bring his wife unto the priest, and he shall bring her offering for her, the tenth part of an ephah of barley-meal; he shall not pour any oil upon it, nor put any frankincense thereupon; for it is a meat-offering of jealousy, a meat-offering of memorial, bringing iniquity to remembrance.
16 Entonces el sacerdote hará que ella se acerque y se mantenga en pie delante de Yavé.
And the priest shall bring her near, and place her before the Lord;
17 Luego el sacerdote tomará agua consagrada en una vasija de barro. El sacerdote tomará también polvo del suelo del Tabernáculo y lo echará en el agua.
And the priest shall take holy water in an earthen vessel; and of the dust that is on the floor of the tabernacle the priest shall take, and put it into the water;
18 El sacerdote hará que la mujer se mantenga en pie delante de Yavé. Soltará el cabello de la mujer y pondrá en sus manos la ofrenda vegetal recordatoria, que es la ofrenda vegetal de celos, mientras en la mano del sacerdote estará el agua amarga que trae maldición.
And the priest shall place the woman before the Lord, and uncover the woman's head, and put upon her hands the meat-offering of memorial, it is the meat-offering of jealousy; and in the hand of the priest shall be the bitter waters that bring the curse.
19 Entonces el sacerdote la conjurará: Si ningún varón fuera de tu esposo cohabitó contigo, y no te has descarriado de tu esposo para contaminarte, sé libre de esta agua amarga que acarrea maldición.
And the priest shall charge her by an oath, and he shall say unto the woman, If no man have lain with thee, and if thou hast not gone aside to uncleanness behind thy husband: then be thou free from these bitter waters that bring the curse.
20 Pero si te descarriaste de tu esposo y te contaminaste, y alguno que no es tu esposo cohabitó contigo,
But if thou hast gone aside behind thy husband, and if thou hast been defiled, and some man have lain with thee besides thy husband: —
21 el sacerdote conjurará a la mujer con juramento de maldición y dirá a la mujer: ¡Yavé te haga maldición e imprecación en medio de tu pueblo, y haga Yavé que tu muslo caiga y tu vientre se hinche!
And the priest shall charge the woman with an oath of imprecation, and the priest shall say unto the woman, The Lord then make thee a curse and an oath among thy people, when the Lord doth cause thy thigh to fall away, and thy belly to swell;
22 ¡Penetren estas aguas portadoras de maldición en tus órganos internos y hagan hinchar tu vientre y decaer tu muslo! Y la mujer dirá: ¡Amén, amén!
And these waters that bring the curse shall go into thy bowels, to cause the belly to swell, and the thigh to fall away; and the woman shall say, Amen, amen.
23 Entonces el sacerdote escribirá estas maldiciones en un rollo y las borrará con las aguas amargas.
And the priest shall write these curses on a roll, and he shall blot them out with the bitter waters.
24 Dará a beber a la mujer las aguas amargas portadoras de maldición. Las aguas de maldición penetrarán en ella y se harán amargas.
And he shall cause the woman to drink the bitter waters that bring the curse: and the waters that bring the curse shall enter into her for bitterness.
25 Después el sacerdote tomará de la mano de la mujer la ofrenda por los celos, la mecerá delante de Yavé, y la ofrecerá delante del altar.
And the priest shall take out of the woman's hand the meat-offering of jealousy, and he shall wave the meat-offering before the Lord, and bring it near to the altar:
26 El sacerdote tomará un puñado de la ofrenda recordatoria de ella y lo quemará sobre el altar. Después dará a beber el agua a la mujer.
And the priest shall take a handful from the meat-offering, as its memorial, and burn it upon the altar, and after that shall he cause the woman to drink the water.
27 Cuando le haga beber el agua, ocurrirá que si ella se contaminó y fue infiel a su esposo, el agua que acarrea maldición penetrará en ella y se hará amarga. Se hinchará su vientre y se caerá su muslo, y la mujer será maldición en medio de su pueblo.
And when he hath made her drink the water, then shall it come to pass, if she have been defiled, and have committed a trespass against her husband, that the waters that bring the curse shall enter into her, for bitterness, and her belly shall swell, and her thigh shall fall away; and the woman shall become a curse among her people.
28 Pero si la mujer no se contaminó y es pura, quedará libre y tendrá descendencia.
And if the woman have not been defiled, but be clean: then shall she remain unharmed, and she shall conceive seed.
29 Tal es la instrucción con respecto a los celos, cuando una esposa comete infidelidad contra su esposo y se contamina,
This is the law of jealousies, when a woman goeth aside behind her husband, and hath been defiled;
30 o cuando le venga espíritu de celos a un hombre, y cele a su esposa: Hará que la mujer esté en pie en la Presencia de Yavé, y el sacerdote le aplicará toda esta instrucción.
Or when the spirit of jealousy cometh over him, and he be jealous of his wife; and he shall place the woman before the Lord, and the priest shall do unto her altogether according to this law.
31 El hombre quedará libre de iniquidad, y la mujer llevará su culpa.
And the man shall be guiltless from iniquity; but this woman shall bear her iniquity.
