Números 36
1 Los jefes de las casas paternas de la familia de Galaad, descendiente de Maquir, hijo de Manasés, de las familias de los hijos de José, se presentaron ante Moisés y ante los jefes de las casas paternas de los hijos de Israel
And there came near the chiefs of the divisions of the family of the children of Gil'ad, the son of Machir, the son of Menasseh, of the families of the sons of Joseph; and they spoke before Moses, and before the princes, the chiefs of the divisions of the children of Israel;
2 y dijeron: Yavé te ordenó a ti, nuestro ʼadón, que reparta la tierra por suerte a los hijos de Israel. También a ti, nuestro ʼadón, le fue ordenado por Yavé que diera la herencia de nuestro hermano Zelofejad a sus hijas.
And they said, the Lord hath commanded my Lord to give the land for an inheritance by lot to the children of Israel; and my Lord hath been commanded by the Lord to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
3 Pero si ellas se casan con uno de otra tribu israelita, su heredad sería sustraída de la herencia de nuestros antepasados. Así que la heredad de la tribu a la cual ellas pasen aumentará, y la que nos tocó a nosotros disminuirá.
And if they become the wives of any of the sons of the [other] tribes of the children of Israel: then will their inheritance be taken from the inheritance of our fathers, and be added to the inheritance of the tribe whereamong they may be married; and from the lot of our inheritance will it be taken away.
4 Cuando llegue el jubileo para los hijos de Israel, su herencia sería añadida a la heredad de la tribu de sus esposos, y así su herencia se sustraerá de la heredad de la tribu de nuestros antepasados.
And whenever the jubilee shall be to the children of Israel: then will their inheritance be added unto the inheritance of the tribe whereamong they may be married; and from the inheritance of the tribe of our fathers will their inheritance be taken away.
5 Entonces Moisés ordenó a los hijos de Israel, por mandato de Yavé: Dicen bien los de la tribu de los hijos de José.
And Moses commanded the children of Israel by the order of the Lord, saying, the tribe of the sons of Joseph have spoken well.
6 Esto es lo que Yavé ordenó con respecto a las hijas de Zelofejad: Cásense con quien ellas quieran, con tal que se casen dentro de la familia de la tribu de su padre,
This is the thing which the Lord hath commanded concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, To those who are pleasing in their eyes may they become wives; however only to the family of the tribe of their father shall they become wives.
7 para que la herencia de los hijos de Israel no sea traspasada de tribu en tribu, sino que cada uno de los hijos de Israel conserve la herencia de la tribu de sus antepasados.
And the inheritance of the children of Israel shall not pass from tribe to tribe; but the children of Israel shall adhere every one to the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers.
8 También toda hija que tenga herencia en cualquier tribu de los hijos de Israel, debe casarse dentro de la familia de la tribu de su padre para que cada uno de los hijos de Israel siga poseyendo la herencia de sus antepasados,
And every daughter that inheriteth any possession out of any tribe of the children of Israel, shall become the wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her father; in order that the children of Israel may inherit every one the inheritance of his fathers.
9 y así no pasará la heredad de una tribu a otra, sino las tribus de los hijos de Israel conservarán su propia herencia.
And no inheritance shall pass from one tribe to another tribe; but the tribes of the children of Israel shall adhere, every one, to his own inheritance.
10 Según Yavé ordenó a Moisés, así las hijas de Zelofejad hicieron.
Even as the Lord had commanded Moses, so did the daughters of Zelophehad;
11 Maala, Tirsa, Hogla, Milca y Noa, hijas de Zelofejad, se casaron con los hijos de sus tíos.
And Machlah, Tirzah, and Choglah, and Milcah, and No'ah, the daughters of Zelophehad became the wives of the sons of their uncles.
12 Se casaron dentro de la familia de los hijos de Manasés, hijo de José, y la heredad de ellas quedó en la tribu de la familia de su antepasado.
[To persons] of the families of the sons of Menasseh the son of Joseph did they become wives, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their father.
13 Estos son los Mandamientos y las Ordenanzas que Yavé ordenó por medio de Moisés a los hijos de Israel en las llanuras de Moab, junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó.
These are the commandments and the ordinances, which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses unto the children of Israel, in the plain of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho.
