1 Después de aquella mortandad, sucedió que Yavé habló a Moisés y a Eleazar, hijo del sacerdote Aarón:
And it came to pass after the plague, That the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Elazar the son of Aaron the priest, saying,
2 Tomen un censo de toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, de 20 años para arriba, según sus casas paternas, todos los que puedan salir a la guerra en Israel.
Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, by the descent from their fathers, all that are able to go forth to war in Israel.
3 Entonces Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar hablaron con ellos junto al Jordán, frente a Jericó en los campos de Moab, y les dijeron:
And Moses with El'azar the priest spoke with them in the plains of Moab by the Jordan opposite Jericho, saying,
4 ¡De 20 años para arriba, como Yavé ordenó a Moisés! Y los hijos de Israel que salieron de la tierra de Egipto fueron:
[Take the sum of the people, ] from twenty years old and upward; as the Lord commanded Moses and the children of Israel, who went forth out of the land of Egypt.
5 Rubén, primogénito de Israel. Los hijos de Rubén fueron: de Enoc, la familia del enoquita, y de Falú, la familia del faluita.
Reuben, the eldest son of Israel: the children of Reuben, of Chanoch, the family of the Chanochites; of Pallu, the family of the Palluites;
6 De Hezrón, la familia del hezronita, y de Carmi, la familia del carmita.
Of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Carmi, the family of the Carmites.
7 Estas son las familias de los rubenitas. Los empadronados de ellas fueron 43.730.
These are the families of the Reubenites; and those that were numbered of them were forty and three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
8 Hijo de Falú: Eliab.
And the sons of Pallu: Eliab.
9 Los hijos de Eliab: Nemuel, Datán y Abiram. Datán y Abiram fueron los jefes de la congregación que se rebelaron contra Moisés y Aarón con el grupo de Coré cuando se rebelaron contra Yavé.
And the sons of Eliab: Nemuel, and Dathan, and Abiram. These are Dathan and Abiram, men called to the assembly, who quarreled against Moses and against Aaron in the company of Korach, at the time they quarreled against the Lord;
10 Entonces la tierra abrió su boca y los tragó juntamente con Coré, mientras el grupo moría al devorar el fuego a 250 varones para que sirvieran de escarmiento.
When the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up together with Korach, while that company died, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty men; and they became a sign.
11 Pero los hijos de Coré no murieron.
But the sons of Korach did not die.
12 Hijos de Simeón, por sus familias: de Nemuel, la familia del nemuelita, de Jamín, la familia del jaminita, y de Jaquín, la familia del jaquinita.
The sons of Simeon after their families: of Nemuel, the family of the Nemuelites; of Yamin, the family of the Yaminites; of Yachin, the family of the Yachinites;
13 De Zera, la familia del zeraíta, y de Saúl, la familia del saulita.
Of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites; of Shaul, the family of the Shaulites.
14 Estas son las familias de los simeonitas: 22.200.
These are the families of the Simeonites, twenty and two thousand and two hundred.
15 Los hijos de Gad según sus familias: de Zefón, la familia del zefonita, de Hagui, la familia del haguita, y de Suni, la familia del sunita.
The children of Gad after their families: of Zephon, the family of the Zephonites; of Chaggi, the family of the Chaggites; of Shuni, the family of the Shunites;
16 De Ozni, la familia del oznita, y de Eri, la familia del erita.
Of Ozni, the family of the Oznites; of 'Eri, the family of the 'Erites;
17 De Arod, la familia del arodita, y de Areli, la familia del arelita.
Of Arod, the family of the Arodites; of Areli, the family of the Arelites;
18 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Gad, y de ellos fueron empadronados 40.500.
These are the families of the children of Gad according to those that were numbered of them, forty thousand and five hundred.
19 Los hijos de Judá: Er y Onán. Pero Er y Onán murieron en la tierra de Canaán.
The sons of Judah were 'Er and Onan; and 'Er with Onan died in the land of Canaan.
20 Los hijos de Judá por sus familias fueron: de Sela, la familia del selaíta, de Fares, la familia del faresita, y de Zera, la familia del zeraíta.
And the sons of Judah after their families were: of Shelah, the family of the Shelanites; of Perez, the family of the Parzites; of Zerach, the family of the Zarchites.
21 Los hijos de Fares: de Hesrón, la familia del hesronita, y de Hamul, la familia del hamulita.
And the sons of Perez were: of Chezron, the family of the Chezronites; of Chamul, the family of the Chamulites.
22 Estas son las familias de Judá, y de ellas fueron empadronados 76.500.
These are the families of Judah, according to those that were numbered of them, seventy and six thousand and five hundred.
23 Los hijos de Isacar, según sus familias fueron: de Tola, la familia del tolaíta, y de Fuá, la familia del fuanita,
The sons of Issachar after their families: of Tola', the family of the Tola'ites; of Puva, the family of the Punites;
24 de Jasub, la familia del jasubita, y de Simrón, la familia del simronita.
Of Yashub, the family of the Yashubites; of Shimron, the family of the Shimronites.
25 Éstas son las familias de Isacar, y sus empadronados fueron 64.300.
These are the families of Issachar according to those that were numbered of them, sixty and four thousand and three hundred.
26 Los hijos de Zabulón según sus familias fueron: de Sered, la familia del seredita, de Elón, la familia del elonita, y de Jalel, la familia del jalelita.
The sons of Zebulun after their families: of Sered, the family of the Sardites; of Elon, the family of the Elonites; of Yachleel, the family of the Yachleelites.
27 Estas son las familias de los zabulonitas, y sus empadronados fueron 60.500.
These are the families of the Zebulonites according to those that were numbered of them, sixty thousand and five hundred.
28 Hijos de José según sus familias: Manasés y Efraín.
The sons of Joseph after their families are Menasseh and Ephraim.
29 Hijos de Manasés: de Maquir, la familia del maquirita. Y Maquir engendró a Galaad. De Galaad, la familia del galaadita.
The sons of Menasseh: of Machir, the family of the Machirites; and Machir begat Gil'ad; of Gil'ad, the family of the Gil'adites.
30 Estos son los hijos de Galaad: de Jezer, la familia del jezerita, y de Helec, la familia del helequita,
These are the sons of Gil'ad: of I'ezer, the family of the I'ezerites; of Chelek, the family of the Chelkites;
31 de Asriel, la familia del asrielita, y de Siquem, la familia del siquemita,
And of Assriel, the family of the Assrielites; and of Shechem, the family of the Shichmites;
32 de Semida, la familia del semidaíta, y de Hefer, la familia del heferita.
And of Shemida', the family of the Shemida'ites; and of Chepher, the family of the Chephrites.
33 Zelofejad, hijo de Hefer, no tuvo hijos sino hijas. Los nombres de las hijas de Zelofejad fueron Maala, Noa, Hogla, Milca, y Tirsa.
And Zelophehad the son of Chepher had no sons, but only daughters; and the names of the daughters of Zelophehad were Machlah, and No'ah, Choglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.
34 Éstas son las familias de Manasés, y los empadronados de ellos fueron 52.700.
These are the families of Menasseh; and those that were numbered of them were fifty and two thousand and seven hundred.
35 Estos son los hijos de Efraín según sus familias: de Sutela, la familia del sutelaíta, de Bequer, la familia del bequerita, y de Tahán, la familia del tahanita.
These are the sons of Ephraim after their families: of Shuthelach, the family of the Shuthalchites; of Becher, the family of the Bachrites; of Tachan, the family of the Tachanites.
36 Y estos son los hijos de Sutela: de Herán, la familia del heranita.
And these are the sons of Shuthelach: of 'Eran, the family of the Eranites.
37 Estas son las familias de los hijos de Efraín. Sus empadronados fueron 32.500. Estos son los hijos de José según sus familias.
These are the families of the sons of Ephraim according to those that were numbered of them, thirty and two thousand and five hundred: these are the sons of Joseph after their families.
38 Los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias: de Bela, la familia del belaíta, de Asbel, la familia del asbelita, y de Aquiram, la familia del aquiramita,
The sons of Benjamin after their families: of Bela', the family of the Bal'ites; of Ashbel, the family of the Ashbelites; of Achiram, the family of the Achiramites;
39 de Sufam, la familia del sufamita y de Hufam, la familia del hufamita.
Of Shephupham, the family of the Shuphamites; of Chupham, the family of the Chuphamites.
40 Los hijos de Bela fueron Ard y Naamán. De Ard, la familia del ardita, y de Naamán, la familia del naamanita.
And the sons of Bela' were Ard and Na'aman: of Ard, the family of the Ardites; and of Na'aman, the family of the Na'amites.
41 Estos son los hijos de Benjamín según sus familias. Y sus empadronados fueron 45.600.
These are the sons of Benjamin after their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and six hundred.
42 Estos son los hijos de Dan según sus familias: de Suham, la familia del suhamita. Éstas son las familias de Dan:
These are the sons of Dan after their families: of Shucham, the family of the Shuchamites; these are the families of Dan after their families.
43 Todas las familias del suhamita, y sus empadronados fueron 64.400.
All the families of the Shuchamites, according to those that were numbered of them, were sixty and four thousand and four hundred.
44 Hijos de Aser según sus familias: de Imna, la familia del imnaíta, de Isuí, la familia del isuita, y de Beria, la familia del beriaíta.
The children of Asher after their families: of Yimnah, the family of the Yimnites; of Yishvi, the family of the Yishvites; of Beri'ah, the family of the Beri'ites.
45 Hijos de Beria: de Heber, la familia del heberita, y de Malquiel, la familia del malquielita.
Of the sons of Beri'ah: of Cheber, the family of the Chebrites; of Malkiel, the family of the Makielites.
46 Y el nombre de la hija de Aser era Sera.
And the name of the daughter of Asher was Serach.
47 Éstas son las familias de los hijos de Aser. Sus empadronados fueron 53.400.
These are the families of the sons of Asher according to those that were numbered of them, fifty and three thousand and four hundred.
48 Los hijos de Neftalí según sus familias: de Jahzeel, la familia del jahzeelita, y de Guni, la familia del gunita.
The sons of Naphtali after their families: of Yachzeel, the family of the Yachzeelites; of Guni, the family of the Gunites;
49 De Jeser, la familia del jeserita, y de Silem, la familia del silemita.
Of Yezer, the family of the Yizrites; of Shillem, the family of the Shillemites.
50 Estas son las familias de Neftalí. Sus empadronados fueron 45.400.
These are the families of Naphtali according to their families; and those that were numbered of them were forty and five thousand and four hundred.
51 Los empadronados de los hijos de Israel fueron 601.730.
These were the numbered of the children of Israel, six hundred thousand, and one thousand, seven hundred and thirty.
52 Yavé habló a Moisés:
And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying,
53 A éstos se repartirá la tierra como heredad, según el número de nombres.
Unto these shall the land be divided for an inheritance according to the number of the names.
54 A los más numerosos les aumentarás su heredad, y a los menos numerosos les disminuirás su heredad. A cada uno se le dará su herencia según el número de los empadronados.
To the large tribe shalt thou give the more inheritance, and to the small shalt thou give the less inheritance: to each according to those that were numbered thereof shall its inheritance be given.
55 Pero la tierra será dividida por sorteo. Recibirán su herencia según los nombres de las tribus paternas.
Nevertheless, through the lot shall the land be divided: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers shall they obtain their inheritance.
56 Por sorteo se repartirá su heredad entre el más grande y el más pequeño.
By the decision of the lot shall the inheritance of each be divided, according as they are many or few.
57 Estos son los contados de los levitas según sus familias: de Gersón, la familia del gersonita, de Coat, la familia del coatita, de Merari, la familia del merarita.
And these are those that were numbered of the Levites after their families: of Gershon, the family of the Gershunites: of Kehath, the family of the Kehathites; of Merari, the family of the Merarites.
58 Estas son las familias de Leví: la familia del libnita, la familia del hebronita, la familia del mahalita, la familia del musita, la familia del coreíta. Y Coat engendró a Amram.
These are the families of Levi: the family of the Libnites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Machlites, the family of the Mushites, the family of the Korchites; and Kehath begat 'Amran.
59 La esposa de Amram se llamaba Jocabed, hija de Leví, que le nació a Leví en Egipto. Ésta dio a luz para Amram a Aarón, Moisés y Miriam su hermana.
And the name of 'Amram's wife was Yochebed, the daughter of Levi, whom [her mother] bore to Levi in Egypt; and she bore unto Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Miriam their sister.
60 A Aarón le nacieron Nadab, Abiú, Eleazar e Itamar.
And there were born unto Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, Elazar, and Ithamar.
61 Pero Nadab y Abiú murieron cuando ofrecieron fuego extraño delante de Yavé.
And Nadab and Abihu died, when they offered a strange fire before the Lord.
62 Los levitas contados fueron 23.000, todos varones de un mes para arriba. No fueron empadronados con los hijos de Israel porque no se les dio heredad entre los hijos de Israel.
And those that were numbered of them were twenty and three thousand, all the males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was not given unto them any inheritance among the children of Israel.
63 Estos son los empadronados por Moisés y el sacerdote Eleazar, quienes empadronaron a los hijos de Israel en los campos de Moab, junto al Jordán frente a Jericó.
These are those that were numbered by Moses and Elazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan, opposite Jericho.
64 Entre ellos ya no existía ninguno de los empadronados por Moisés y el sacerdote Aarón, quienes hicieron el censo de los hijos de Israel en el desierto de Sinaí.
And among these there was not one man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest had numbered, who numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.
65 Porque Yavé dijo de ellos: Morirán en el desierto. No quedó ningún varón de ellos, excepto Caleb, hijo de Jefone, y Josué, hijo de Nun.
For the Lord had said of them, They shall surely die in the wilderness: and there was not left of them one man, save Caleb the son of Yephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun.
