Números 19

1 Yavé habló a Moisés y a Aarón:

And the Lord spoke unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

2 Ésta es la ordenanza de la Ley que Yavé ordenó: Dí a los hijos de Israel que te traigan una vaca bermeja, perfecta, en la cual no haya defecto, sobre la cual no se haya puesto yugo.

This is the statute of the law which the Lord hath commanded, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee a completely red cow, on which there is no blemish, upon which no yoke hath ever come.

3 La darán al sacerdote Eleazar, quien la sacará fuera del campamento, y [uno] la degollará en presencia de él.

And ye shall give her unto Elazar the priest, and he shall lead her forth to without the camp, and some one shall slay her before his face:

4 Luego el sacerdote Eleazar tomará de su sangre con su dedo, y con esa sangre rociará siete veces hacia la parte delantera del Tabernáculo de Reunión.

And Elazar the priest shall take some of her blood with his finger; and he shall sprinkle in the direction of the front of the tabernacle of the congregation of her blood seven times.

5 Después [uno] quemará la vaca delante de él. Se quemará la piel, la carne, la sangre y el estiércol.

And some one shall burn the cow before his eyes; her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung, shall he burn.

6 El sacerdote tomará un palo de cedro, un hisopo y escarlata, y los echará en medio de la hoguera de la vaca.

And the priest shall take cedar-wood, and hyssop, and a scarlet string, and cast it into the midst of the burning of the cow.

7 El sacerdote lavará sus vestiduras con agua, lavará su cuerpo en agua y después entrará en el campamento, pero el sacerdote quedará impuro hasta llegar la noche.

And the priest shall wash his clothes, and he shall bathe his flesh in water, and afterward may he come into the camp; and the priest shall be unclean until the evening.

8 También el que la quemó lavará su ropa y su cuerpo con agua, y será impuro hasta llegar la noche.

And he that burneth her shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water; and he shall be unclean until the evening.

9 Luego, un hombre purificado recogerá las cenizas de la vaca y las pondrá en un lugar limpio fuera del campamento. La congregación de los hijos de Israel las guardará para [preparar] el agua que limpia de impureza.

And a man that is clean shall gather up the ashes of the cow, and lay them up without the camp in a clean place; and it shall be kept for the congregation of the children of Israel for a water of sprinkling: it is a purification-offering.

10 El que haya recogido las cenizas de la vaca lavará sus ropas y quedará impuro hasta llegar la noche. Esto será estatuto perpetuo para los hijos de Israel y el extranjero que peregrina entre ellos.

And he that gathereth up the ashes of the cow shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening: and it shall be unto the children of Israel, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among them, for a statute for ever.

11 El que toque el cadáver de una persona será impuro siete días.

He that toucheth the dead body of any human person shall be unclean seven days.

12 Al tercer día se purificará con esa agua, y al séptimo día quedará limpio. Pero si al tercer día no se purifica, no quedará limpio al séptimo día.

Such a one shall purify himself with it on the third day and on the seventh day, when he shall be clean; but if he purify himself not on the third day and on the seventh day, he shall not be clean.

13 Todo el que toque el cadáver de una persona, y no se purifique, contamina el Tabernáculo de Yavé. Esta persona será cortada de Israel, por cuanto el agua para la impureza no fue rociada sobre él. Será impuro y su impureza estará sobre él.

Whosoever toucheth the dead body, the person of any man that is dead, and purifieth himself not, hath defiled the tabernacle of the Lord; and that soul shall be cut off from Israel; because the water of sprinkling was not sprinkled upon him, he shall be unclean; his uncleanness is yet upon him.

14 Esta es la Ley para cuando un hombre muera en una tienda: Todo el que entre en la tienda y todo el que esté en ella, estará impuro siete días.

This is the law, when a man dieth in a tent: Every one that cometh into the tent, and all that is in the tent, shall be unclean seven days.

15 Toda vasija abierta que no tenga la tapa bien ajustada quedará impura.

And every open vessel, on which there is not a closely fitting cover, is unclean.

16 Cualquiera que toque un muerto por espada en el campo, o cualquier muerto, osamenta o sepulcro, quedará impuro siete días.

And whosoever toucheth in the open field one that hath been slain with a sword, or a dead body, or a bone of a man, or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.

17 Para ese impuro se tomará ceniza de la vaca quemada en el sacrificio que apacigua, y se echará agua corriente sobre ella en una vasija.

And they shall take for the unclean person some of the ashes of the burnt purification-offering, and they shall put thereupon running water in a vessel.

18 Luego, un hombre purificado tomará una rama de hisopo y la mojará en el agua. Rociará la tienda, todos los utensilios y a las personas que estén allí junto con aquel que haya tocado la osamenta, el cadáver o el sepulcro.

And a clean person shall take hyssop, and dip it in the water, and sprinkle it upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons that have been there, and upon him that hath touched the bone, or the one slain, or the dead, or the grave:

19 El tercero y el séptimo día, el que está purificado rociará al impuro. Cuando lo haya purificado el séptimo día, lavará sus ropas y se lavará en agua. Al llegar la noche quedará purificado.

And the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day; and when he hath purified him on the seventh day, then shall he wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and shall be clean at evening.

20 Pero el que esté impuro y no se purifique, esa persona será cortada de en medio de la congregación, porque contaminó el Santuario de Yavé. El agua para la impureza no se roció sobre él, por tanto es impuro.

But a man that is unclean, and doth not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from among the congregation; because the sanctuary of the Lord hath he defiled; the water of sprinkling hath not been sprinkled upon him; he is unclean.

21 Les será estatuto perpetuo. El que roció el agua para la purificación lavará sus ropas, y el que sacó el agua para la purificación será impura hasta llegar la noche.

And it shall be unto them for a perpetual statute; and he that sprinkleth the water of sprinkling shall wash his clothes; and he that toucheth the water of sprinkling shall be unclean until the evening.

22 Todo lo que el impuro toque será impuro, y la persona que lo toque quedará impuro hasta llegar la noche.

And whatsoever the unclean person may touch shall be unclean; and the person that toucheth him shall be unclean until the evening.
