Miqueas 5
1 ¡Reúnete ahora en tropas, oh hija de guerreros! Fuimos sitiados. Con vara herirán en la mejilla al Juez de Israel.
Now gather yourself together, O daughter of troops, He has laid a siege against us, They strike [the] judge of Israel on the cheek with a rod.
2 Pero tú, Belén Efrata, pequeña para estar entre las familias de Judá, de ti me saldrá el que será Gobernante en Israel, cuyos procedimientos son desde el principio, desde los días de la eternidad.
“And you, Beth-Lehem Ephratah, Little to be among the chiefs of Judah! From you He comes forth to Me—to be ruler in Israel, And His comings forth [are] of old, From the days of antiquity.”
3 Pero los abandonará hasta el tiempo cuando dé a luz la que va a dar a luz, y vuelva el resto de sus hermanos a reunirse con los hijos de Israel.

4 Él se levantará y apacentará con el poder de Yavé, con la majestad del Nombre de Yavé, su ʼElohim. Ellos permanecerán, porque entonces serán engrandecidos hasta los fines de la tierra.
And He has stood and delighted in the strength of YHWH, In the excellence of the Name of His God YHWH, And they have remained, For now He is great to the ends of the earth.
5 Éste será nuestra paz. Si Asiria se atreve a invadir nuestra tierra, si trata de pisotear nuestros palacios, la enfrentaremos siete pastores y ocho líderes de hombres,
And this [One] has been peace. Asshur, when he comes into our land, And when he treads in our palaces, We have raised against him seven shepherds, And eight anointed of man.
6 los cuales devastarán a espada la tierra de Asiria y la tierra de Nimrod en sus puertas. Él nos librará del asirio cuando ataque nuestra tierra, cuando pisotee nuestro territorio.
And they have afflicted the land of Asshur with the sword, And the land of Nimrod at its openings, And He has delivered from Asshur when he comes into our land, And when he treads in our borders.
7 El remanente de Jacob estará en medio de muchos pueblos como el rocío de Yavé, como la lluvia que a nadie espera sobre la hierba, ni pone su esperanza en los hijos de hombres.
And the remnant of Jacob has been in the midst of many peoples, As dew from YHWH—as showers on the herb, That does not wait for man, nor stays for the sons of men.
8 El remanente de Jacob estará entre las naciones, en medio de muchos pueblos, como el león entre las bestias del campo, como el cachorro de león en medio de rebaños de ovejas, las cuales, si pasa, arrebata y desgarra, sin que alguna escape.
Indeed, the remnant of Jacob has been among nations, In the midst of many peoples, As a lion among beasts of a forest, As a young lion among ranks of a flock, Which if it has passed through, Has both trodden down and has torn, And there is no deliverer.
9 ¡Levanta tu mano contra tus adversarios, y serán todos destruidos!
High is your hand above your adversaries, And all your enemies are cut off.
10 Aquel día, dice Yavé, eliminaré tus caballos de en medio de ti, y destruiré tus carruajes.
“And it has come to pass in that day,” A declaration of YHWH, “I have cut off your horses from your midst, And I have destroyed your chariots,
11 También destruiré las ciudades de tu tierra y derribaré todas tus fortalezas.
And I have cut off the cities of your land, And I have thrown down all your fortresses,
12 Cortaré de tu mano las hechicerías y no tendrás más adivinos.
And have cut off sorcerers out of your hand, And observers of clouds—you have none.
13 Haré destruir tus imágenes talladas y tus piedras rituales en medio de ti. Nunca más te inclinarás ante la obra de tus manos.
And I have cut off your carved images, And your standing-pillars out of your midst, And you do not bow yourself anymore To the work of your hands.
14 Arrancaré tus Aseras de en medio de ti, y destruiré tus ciudades.
And I have plucked up your Asherim out of your midst, And I have destroyed your enemies.
15 Ejecutaré venganza con ira y furor contra las naciones que no obedecieron.
And I have done vengeance in anger and in fury, With the nations who have not listened!”
